After a week-long birthday celebration, I topped it off by attending a Saturday night baseball game at Morongo Field to watch a minor league baseball game. The minor league baseball team for the Anaheim Angels, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, took on the minor league team for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Over 80 family members and friends joined me, and we all had a BLAST!! We ate/drank, laughed, watched an entertaining baseball game, caught a couple of foul balls, took pics with the ballplayers and the team mascots, and truly enjoyed our time together. The venue is such an awesome stadium: every seat has a great view of the field, the seats are comfortable, and the restrooms and snack bars are conveniently located. Admission tickets are $15.00 per ticket, and parking is only $6.00 per vehicle. Thank you to Matthew Marquez (Quakes Group Sales Manager) for handling every single detail of our group's visit. Matt was very professional, friendly, helpful, and made sure that every single person in our group enjoyed their visit to this ballpark. STINGY, GATEKEEPING STAFF! Oof, this new affiliation with the Rancho Quakes has turned for the worst. As an Angels fan I was pumped to root for the Quakes and get a "newer" venue. However, the culture of the staff is absolutely different in a bad way. Typically, giveaways with the 66ers in San Bernardino were plentiful and joyous. Not here! I arrived for a Rancho Jersey giveaway and the staff stopped passing out jerseys after a few minutes after the gates opened. There were loads of fans who didn't receive a giveaway item. Meanwhile, staff stored boxes of jerseys away, I saw a dude take some to the back! What?! I absolutely hate when staff store things for themselves. It felt more like a slap in the face when they started distributing tons of rally towels instead of the jerseys. This was planned, this team's front office are cheap penny-pinchers. I arrived early before the game, I know how these events work. This was one of the worst sporting experiences I've encountered. Staff were standoffish and condescending when we asked them what their deal was? I was polite and professional, I don't like these Rancho Karens one bit. At this point, this is a betrayal to the Angels brand. I never have this happen at a major league game. Yes, I know resources vary but this is rude customer service. Only Tremor and Aftershock were chill, this team needs to cool it. I won't be coming here till people fix this mess. Prices are reasonable for a game ticket and parking. Corn dogs were only five bucks and our seats were great! The one downside was there was only about 100 people in the stands and the energy was very low. You can tell this is a local social spot as fans seemed to know each other by name and even staff knew people. Great place for a game with a view of the mountains but don't expect any big league thrills. read more

From the moment we walked in... every single person we met was so nice. Every single usher was helpful and informative. We met the GM Mike Lindskog the first day....and let me just say that he was the BEST PICK for that role. Mike was out interacting with all of his guests like they were visiting his home! Throughout the game I saw him running around shaking hands and just so in tune with the overall feel of the stadium! Tremor made my day too.... he was so sweet!! We will definitely be back! Employees should not have to constantly question what is expected of them, where they stand, or whether their concerns are actually being heard. That should be the bare minimum in any workplace. Instead, my experience left me feeling "unappreciated, unheard, frustrated, and completely fed up" The worst part is that none of this had to happen. A workplace does not become difficult because the job itself is demanding. It becomes difficult when the people responsible for creating a healthy work environment fail to do so. There were certainly people and moments that made the experience better, but those positives do not erase the problems. JULY 4 FIREWORKS SHOW WAS A DAMN MESS!!!! Every year for the last six years, we have come here and this year 2026 was horrible. Let me start you off with the traffic being run by the sheriffs department after the show. They didn't plan anything! When we got out of the stadium, which was 10 minutes before everyone else got out, the people that watched from the nearby businesses already crowded the nearby streets, and that caused a chaotic scene for everyone who was coming out of the stadium. That meant that there was no planning on the sheriffs part at all unlike previous years. The sheriff were present, but they didn't do anything. They were right behind us and told us not to go east but yet told us to turn around which was impossible to do because everybody was bumper-to-bumper going east and west on Day Creek. It took us 40 minutes to even move. They knew exactly how many people to expect because of tickets sales that were pre-purchased, but they neglected to plan how to move people after the event. Now, why would you do that? In addition to that the firework show clearly was subpar. It wasn't anything like previous years. I have to rethink if I'm going to do this again next year because of this year's experience. Do better! read more

Like many in Southern California, I grew up going to Dodgers games with my dad and brothers. For as long as I can remember, it was something we did together as a family, a family who loves baseball. You see, even though a lot of their marketing is based on this concept of "before they are stars... They play here," the fact is there is a lot of "experience" between single a ball and the big show. Still, we took our Cub Scout pack along with their families to a game recently, and reserved the Fault Zone" table section right on the right field foul line. Even though it was minor league ball with a bunch of players I've never heard of, it was still pretty exciting to sit right there in the front row, and taking the game. The venue is clean and quaint, which means the lines for concessions are not very long. Prices were cheaper here than at Chavez ravine, and while these are minor league players, most of them will probably never play in the major leagues, everyone of them is a hell of a lot better at baseball than I will ever be, and it was still entertaining. Honestly, we all had a good time, a couple of our scouts got some foul balls and freebies from the first baseman after infield warm-ups, and the staff was really nice. Hats off to Joey, one of the ushers who sort of watched over our area and group. He was very friendly, and highly complementary of our scouts. Really nice guy. Came for the first time for some good friendly family competition since we had Quakes and Storm fans, we decided to splurge on the suite since we've never done it before. The suite is clean, very large and has great views of the diamond. The team and fans are always a 10/10 in regard to talent and support but that's not what we had a problem with. We ordered food and drinks pretty early on and when we received the first batch everything was cold. The second part of our group waited more than half an hour for the suite service. Parts don't work or are damaged, it is dated and cannot be seen in the sun, and it is just an eyesore. PLEASE REDO THE SCOREBOARD! In my past experience many stadiums have some fans for guests sitting under the cover, this stadium does not. It seems outrageous to not spend a couple hundred on a fan for a baseball stadium in southern California. Last time I went to a ballgame (the LA Angels, if you must know), I came close to looking like a human donut, a hole in my chest made by a foul ball that whacked its way into the (cheap) right field seat I had just been sitting in. Just minutes before, my foursome had all shifted two seats to the left, closer to home base, justified because the stadium was not full that day. And as that ball jetted through the air headed towards me, I suddenly found my baseball fanatic son-in-law diving across my lap, glove in hand, arm extended to catch that coveted ball. It smacked really hard onto the back of my [now] empty seat. He didn't catch it, but not for lack of trying. The guy that had been sitting right next to me (and who did not move) did. But I didn't get darn near killed that day, either. I just ended up being assaulted by a quick thinking, full grown man whom (thankfully) I happened to know and who ended up with a sheepish look on his face and a mouthful of apologies. I guess you could say my guardian angels were working overtime that day, and probably having a good laugh. Remembering this, I paused when one of my buddies suggested we come out for a Quakes (LA Dodger farm team) ball game. But, as you already guessed, we went. For $13 ea (we are moderate tightwads), we ended up with great seats between home base and first with a nice net between me and the field. At least this time I would not have permanent brain damage from any hard, line drive balls. And trust me, there were many errant ones. And then there was the dancing dinosaur "Tremor" that was clowning around right in front of us. What's not to love? The game, well, it was....a decent game. Can't necessarily say the same for the dude in the next row back that went ballistic over what he thought was a bad call. We saw a lot of bad calls. But refs are refs, meant to be hated, and fun is what you make it. The hot dogs, peanuts, and beer? Yep, a must. That night's fireworks show was an added bonus. And we really got lucky with a warm summer evening and a mega full moon. Can't beat it.
