I replaced my rear sliding door (9 foot three pane) and decided to go with quaker over the over-priced Anderson and Pella brands. I worked in construction and have experience with just about every brand out there, hence I did the install and could not be any more happy about the Quaker brand. It's a solid door, easy to install, very smooth and effortless to open / close. The thermodynamic (heat) specifications are the best in the business. I compared the specifications against the bigger brands and found Quaker to be as good on most and better in some cases. If you are looking for a great quality door, for a decent price point, you will not find anything better than Quaker, trust me since I do a lot of research before buying big ticket items. Note that my old door was a Silverline which is part of Anderson, and that was a piece of junk since the day it was new. The Silverline required a wood trim piece to make up the opening on a standard wall construction, whereas the Quaker fits like a glove being much wider which makes it more rigid and sturdier than the Silverline (Anderson). read more
