I am extremely disappointed and hurt by the way I was treated at this establishment. I paid my tab, yet the establishment contacted the police and reported that I had not paid. The police ultimately came to my home and questioned me about the alleged unpaid tab. I provided proof through my bank statement showing that the payment had been made. Even after proving that I had paid, I still took the time to return to the establishment and show them proof of the payment myself. As a Hispanic customer, I cannot help but feel that I was racially profiled and treated differently. What makes this even more upsetting is that I have supported this business and referred customers to them, only to have my character questioned and law enforcement sent to my home over a tab that I had already paid. This experience was humiliating, unnecessary, and extremely disappointing. I believe customers deserve to be treated with respect regardless of their race or ethnicity, and I expect this situation to be taken seriously.
