GOLF simulation? Watch sports? And eat good food? Fore we go! A great place to do all three. Food…read moreis good. We got a trio appetizer dish w/ cheese sticks(packed with cheese), fried pickles and buffalo egg rolls(packed with flavor). I know I might get some kick back on this but the smoked wings tossed in maple bourbon sauce....had me feeling like I was at output(haha). The wings were good and fell apart off the bone as we picked them up off the dish. Pulled pork was good. And the steak bowl was packed with steak and flavorful, salsa was definitely on point. I couldn't see going anywhere else in the area for a bowl. Drinks were drinks. We kept it basic as it would for a dive bar vibe. Service was attentive and the servers watched your drinks as they walked by..... if you were quarter a way they'd approach to see if you need another round. TVs everywhere. If you love to golf they have about 7 golf simulator stations kinda tucked away but still in the mix. Golf was $40 an hour at the time of this review. I'd say this is definitely a neighborhood bar with great food. The only real complaint I have is we ordered tequila, soda water and lime. And when I got my bill they charged me for soda water. This was a first. Although not a big deal for me. Still a great time.

Stopped in for their 1pm Tuesday bingo. Have been here before and enjoy playing bingo, but realize…read morethat the actual game won't start until about 1:30pm. The attendant for bingo starts handing out the cards about 1:10pm. There were also many saved seats at the bar and some tables. A few did not show up so the seats were opened a little after 1pm. So get there early to get a seat. We had a couple drinks. Vodka and sprite and a Pinot Grigio. Both were reasonably priced. The soup special was tomato bisque with shrimp. The soup was very good. A little thicker than I prefer, but there was a decent amount of shrimp. Also ordered the onion ring tower. The rings were plated, no longer served in a tower. But the rings were fresh and tasty. Served with a spicy thousand island sauce. One constant here is that every time we have visited the service has beef excellent. Ashley greater is making us immediately feel comfortable. I love the way the people behind the bar back each other up. Niko makes sure there is no gap. Looking forward to our next visit.

Checked out this happening sports bar in Alsip. Deuces is…read moreone of the better bars around here. It doesn't take a lot of effort to be that it seems. Has pretty good happy hours that are cheap. There's also better than expected food at okay prices. Before coming here it looked like it was busy. It's often a good sign. There's plenty of TVs for watching games or whatever. Has plenty of seats at the bar. There's also quite a few tables. Bigger than expected. It's about $6 for cocktails at happy hour. There's better prices in the food though. A lot of cheaper items. It's $10 for the Jumbo Pretzel at happy hour, and we got one of these. Big enough for a few people to be honest. The rest of the menu has burgers and chicken sandwiches. Also has a weekend brunch. There's also Mexican food like fajitas and tacos. Certainly a lot on the menu. They unsurprisingly are slow it seems. For sure it's better than it looks. It's best to go weekdays for the cheaper prices. The menu has a lot of pretty okay things.

I stopped by Fat Tommy's last weekend with my family. We were excited to check it out since we were…read morefirst timers. We were greeted promptly by the host and seated upon entry. The restaurant has a warm and relaxed vibe. It's bright and spacious too. There's also a bar, slot machines, and karaoke. The menu is expansive, and the prices are extremely reasonable. The paper menus should've been laminated in my opinion, though. It would give them a more aesthetic appeal. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was decent. The fries are fresh cut, which was a nice surprise. My brother had a burger with a side of vegetables. He thought it was wonderful. My sister had the BBQ chicken sandwich and tater tots. She was less than enthusiastic about her food. She said the tater tots tasted as though they had been fried in old grease. The tots were also fried much too long. She didn't like the BBQ sauce on the sandwich and thought the chicken was just okay. She also ordered the frozen house punch. She didn't realize that the drink was pre-made and kept in a large, plastic container that's stationary at the bar. Every so often, the bartender measured the alcohol content and added more as necessary to keep it at a certain level. It's a common practice, but the drink wasn't very good. She thought it would've been mixed in a blender upon ordering. If she'd known that it wasn't, then she wouldn't have ordered it. The manager (presumably) stopped by the table to see how everything was going. She asked how we liked the food and if our waitress was taking care of us. She stopped at nearly every table to speak with many of the guests. That was nice to see because that kind of thing is a bit of an anomaly these days. It was nice to see an employee at a restaurant seemingly cared about the service they were providing. Overall, the experience at Tommy's was positive. None of us were blown away or anything, but it was a decent first impression nonetheless. I'd return for a second visit, but that singular experience was enough for my sister. She'd likely not return if given the choice.
