London is no stranger to exotic cafés with unique offerings, but Qima may be the one that hits all the right notes in the perfect way. They have two locations, but this one is located in the very-busy and crowded tourist trap known as Covent Garden. Does that detract from its charm? Only if you're in a hurry. They have a lovely interior that bleeds Eastern elegance, as well as outside seating for the larger, more desperate groups.
The menu offers an eclectic variety of both hot and cold caffeinated drinks that are sure to please any palate. For the sweets-lovers, the Ruby Latte offers a smooth creamy coffee flavour, the Saint Ali Moka is a more refined take on a regular mocha, and the Qishir Latte is a mix between a latte and a chai. Since the clientele is predominantly Middle Eastern, they have an impressive array of filter coffees, including the ever-popular V60.
Surprisingly enough, their pastry menu is just as impressive as their coffee menu, with both sweet and savoury options baked to perfection. Just pick your poison. For the best selection, try to come early, as it tends to get quite crowded and busy throughout the day.
They also have some of the lovliest staff around. So, whether you're a tourist or a local, this should definitely be on your 'Must-Try' list. read more
