Hot and Sweet Chicken w Lime Shrimp Burrito
    Codie H.

If you're looking for delicious Mexican food, look no further than QDoba Mexican Eats. Small to medium sized inside seating available, moderate outside seating as well. Very affordable pricing, mine and my wife's and son's meals combined with a tip was only $40. I left so full and satisfied, it was insanely delicious. I got a custom hot and sweet chicken burrito and added lime shrimp and all the fixings. The chips and queso were also very yummy! Overall, best food we've spent money on all year so far. Definitely 10/10 will be back again.

My favorite is the Surf & Turf bowl, includes steak and some of the best tasting shrimp.

First time I went to Cantaritos was 3 months ago. I had Beef Fajita Nachos & flavorful refreshing Cucumber Margaritas which I'll never forget...totally amazing! I recently revisited Cantaritos since I was in town again. Once you walk in, you are immediately greeted. Once seated, complimentary homemade chips & salsa is served. Queso dip is also served complimentary on Monday & Wednesday. The chips are perfect, light & crispy. Salsa & queso are just as tasty! It was time to explore the menu, so I decided to order the Carne Asada. I gotta admit, It was the best Carne Asada I've had in a very long time. The meat was perfectly prepared, tender & full of flavor. Rice was good, but I was especially impressed with the Charro Beans....so good! I would highly recommend the Carne Asada to anyone! So after two awesome memorable dining experiences at Cantaritos, I'll be looking forward to much more visits!

If you're looking for a fairly inexpensive option in Pearl River, this place does a pretty good job. I rate the service an "A". Water glasses and soft drink refills stayed full. Wait times were not very long. Ambiance at times feels a little closed in, but overall a good vibe. We tried two desserts, the fried ice cream and sopapillas. Not bad, but not great. Overall, I give this place a thumbs up. Clean, service is good, and the food lives up to the expectations.

The chips are served nice and warm and have a light crunch to them, not overly heavy. Their salsa is just addictive and when you pair it with their queso, it's ridiculous. I ordered the chicken supreme dish I think is what it was called. Chicken breast flattened and nicely grilled, topped with mushrooms and onions and cheese. Serve with rice and beans, I couldn't finish at all, but I surely wanted to. The service was very friendly and attentive, mostly comfortable atmosphere. Loud patrons, a couple boot away, put a damp around things, but that's not really the fault of the restaurant, just inconsiderate, loud patrons. The only issue I have, is when we walked in the place just kind of smelled funky. They had a couple of candles lit, I think to mask the odor. And I really can't say what it was, but it was across between maybe garbage and trash smell. Aside from the unpleasant smell when you walk in, the food and service was on point. I would absolutely come back here for takeout.

It's amazing!! It tastes SO good, I'm sure it's super bad for you with tons of seasonings and butter, but you'll be addicted. Our table kept asking for more and more servings throughout the meal! Now, you could buy the popcorn to take home with you, but at $8 a bag, you'd be better off just eating it there. I also really loved their queso ($9). I'd say it's a bit overpriced, but it's not made with the crappy kind of queso that you'd get from Chipotle and it's truly delish. It's creamy, but with a rich cheesy flavor you can only get from good quality real cheese. Served with roasted poblano (a kind of non-spicy pepper), onion, and corn. I had the chicken tinga tacos ($9). This was good! The chicken was well-seasoned and flavorful. It comes with only 2 tacos though and nothing else, which brings it to $4.50 per taco. I think for the price, it could be 3 tacos... You can add a side order of rice and beans (+$3), but honestly, that was disappointing. The rice was plain white rice and the beans were unseasoned. Their breakfast menu is where it's at, I think! It's pretty cheap considering the location uptown. Each dish is around $10 give or take a few bucks and seems to come with a good portion of food. This is what I'd try next time I'm there!

Our waitress blamed the kitchen for every mishap. One mistake, ok two mistakes and more, not buying it. We tried ordering drinks but our waitress had no idea what kind of wine they sold so she had to go check. When she returned we ordered drinks and when the drinks showed up we ordered the small beef and cheese dip, they also brought chips and salsa that was very tasty. She ordered a fahita steak quesadilla, she said it was very salty and average at best. I had the enchilada supreme with no sour cream, I was very clear and even said it twice. Our meals showed up before our "starter" beef and cheese dip. Mine had sourcream on it so I asked them to fix it as ordered. Next the dip showed up and the cheese had a thick skin over top of the cheese, it too was average. My enchilada showed up and it appeared they scraped off the sour cream and re applied the lettuce, etc. The problem is by then, the enchiladas were not very hot and the fries were soggy, luke warm and not crispy. The manager did come over and asked about our meal, I replied it was just ok, that was as nice as I could be. He offered to make it good on our next visit, I told him not to do so, he said he could fix it, but our meal was over at this point. We will likely try other mexican restaurants in the area before we attempt to come back to give them another chance. On any day a restaurant can fail.
