Staff make this place inviting and we immediately felt relaxed. The bar is quite charming and some Indian lady art adorn one wall and left us wondering about the story behind that. Quite busy considering it's Monday and mid day - we are not the only tourists in here as we can hear a Brit chatting his friend up. We will return as we are here for the week. Qcafé is our favorite gay bar in Prague and we enjoyed visiting several times. One day Prague gay bar owners (or the Czech Republic) will ban smoking in bars for the health and comfort of their patrons. Until then, at least Qcafé has a basement level that is non-smoking. The bar is small, and the ground floor is where most of the people congregate. The bartenders are very friendly, speak English, and remember your drink orders. Their lemonade was excellent! You can run a tab and pay when you leave. There was a good mix of tourists and locals. The basement level is more quiet with almost a library feel when we went, and has a more relaxing mood. Luckily I found electrical outlets (I have an eagle-eye and scope out every place I go) to recharge my phone. Wi-fi is pretty strong down there too. An extra plus note, the basement shelves are filled with gay-centric books, including a number of Karma Sutra ones...not that we looked through them all LOL. read more

I contemplate my score on this place a lot. Service was good. I sat at the bar and that insures you get decent service. It was slow - and the bartender does speak English - but was more concerned with the dog (which is cute!) - the other patrons were equally not talkative. I tried engaging and wasn't really welcome (yes i heard them also speak English and Czech).. It was better than awful not Spectacular :) so a solid 4 :) I'd probably still come back. But I'd need a good book or some other friends. I'm looking to move here if anyone knows an opportunity :) read more

I really liked this place. On a side street of the old town, with windows open to the street on a Saturday afternoon in August, with a relaxed crowd of apparent locals. I counted four dogs, too. Tables high and low, stools at the bar, lots of mingling and sitting options. Everyone I spoke to was friendly but I did have to initiate it. I heard it's much more crowded late at night. Super great chill gay bar with inside area and ability to hang outside if you want to. Great drinks and great crowd. Went on a Sunday night and it had a good sized crowed and friendly crowd. I am traveling alone and was able to make friends here. Cost isn't too much and they do accept card, though they may be a bit weird about it. Take cash incase. Left around 12AM and it was still popping. Going back tonight (Monday) and will update for Monday crowd. read more

This is my favorite places to go out to in Prague. The atmosphere in here is amazing, with a very warm and inclusive feel. The crowd usually consists of younger gay men but you also see a variety of people. The staff also speaks English very well and are very nice and welcoming. The drinks are also very good and are at reasonable prices. Good place to go during the day for a snack and coffee but then at night it's also great for a few drinks with friends. This is probably the best gay bar in Prague and I would recommend it to all of my friends! read more

This establishment operates as a cafe in the afternoon and turns up the music at night to operate as a bar. It is frequented by young Czechs, but there is also a mix of slightly older men as well. The place has a pretty friendly atmosphere and all the service staff speak enough English to get by. The servers are welcoming and friendly. Sometimes they may come off as a little abrupt, but that is due in a large part to the language barrier. Qcafe is laid out in two floors. The ground floor is where the bar is located and is usually the most popular floor. This floor also happens to be the smoking floor so expect medium to heavy smoke especially during the evening hours. There is a basement floor below which has comfortable tables to sit around. This floor also serves as a small exhibit and there is artwork for sale hung up around the circumference of the room. No one usually goes down to the basement floor until the ground floor is at capacity. A couple last few notes. Make sure to come with friends, because although most of the young Czechs knew basic English they are typically more reserved with foreigners and you will have a difficult time striking up a conversation with them. If you come alone you will feel like an outsider. Secondly, the wifi is unusually speedy for Prague standards, so your laptop/smartphone should feel right at home here. Enjoy! read more

A neat small reasonably priced rainbow colored café in a quiet place in the center of Prague. The coffee I had (long doppio) was great and it came with a bit of tap water, as it should. They also have some homemade juices and one of the best Czech beer brands Svijany. It has space for both non-smokers (downstairs) and smokers (quite well air-conditioned). The music ranges from electronic to jazz and the level easily allows for conversation. read more

honestly the worst bar I've been to. i met up with my gay friend and i identify as gay too so i thought this place would be welcoming for us but NOPE. the bartenders are extremely rude to both foreigners and women. also the bartenders stole at least 180 crowns from me by not giving me my change back. when i went back 20 mins later after i realized they were very rude and disrespectful and made up lies. i will never step foot in this place again. read more
