After speaking to the Owner, Tony. We described the car had previously been diagnosed at a tesla service center as needing a new rear drive unit. Tony suggested to us that he could most likely repair the drive unit, using his service called a "Coolant Delete". I inquired on the cost if the coolant delete was not enough to repair the drive unit, and he said he could not match Teslas price, so I could then take the car to tesla if he determined his "repair" would not be sufficient, AT NO CHARGE to me. Once Tony had possession of the car, he waited over 2 weeks to even diagnose it. During this time, instead of removing the one part needed to see if his "repair" would fix the situation, he dismantled the entire drive unit and proclaimed I would in fact need to replace the entire unit (his repair would not be enough to fix it), then informing me I would be responsible for that labor if I decided to take the car to the tesla service center at that point. I asked him for an estimate if I left the car there, he sent me an estimate that was similar to the price I would pay at tesla, So I agreed to let him do the replacement, to save myself time and hassle, and to avoid fighting with him over labor charges I never even agreed to. He then proceeded to tell me he needed payment up front so that he could order the part from telsa. He claims he ordered it immediately after payment on May 24th, however after speaking with his employees he did not order it till almost 2 weeks later. Tony has constantly lied to us about the status of our vehicles repair. Tony rarely answers the phone, and never returns messages. There is no receptionist. I received a call from one of his employees on June 12th, stating the motor had finally arrived, they would install the next day (thursday) and it would be ready for pick up friday morning. No one ever called me back. My husband went to the location friday afternoon during business hours, and no one was there. I made a phone call to tony and he stated he had no idea why no one was there, he was out of town, and I demanded a phone call from someone IN the shop who had information about the vehicles status. I received no call. Monday (june 17th) we went back to the service center, and again no one was there, and this time there was a note on the door saying closed till further notice. I called tony again and let him know if I didnt hear from an employee at the shop within 24 hrs, I would come get my car with a tow truck. He told me I could not pick up the car because the new motor was already in it, but the repair needed to be completed. Tuesday morning his employee James called me to let me know that he and his brother (the only other employee) had not been paid for over a month, and were on strike, which is why no work had been done on my car. The new motor was NOT in my car, a lie from tony to keep me from picking up the car. The employees notified me that tony had lied about when he ordered the part, and also told them not to work on my car when they asked about getting my car finished. They also mentioned that he had been lying to several other customers about the status of their vehicles as well. He had also sold numerous car parts online and failed to ship or give returns to those customers as well. I met with the employees James and Jacob, who were extremely apologetic. They helped me return my car to its original status so I could meet and pay for a tow truck to take it to the nearest tesla center. I have had to file a charge back on my credit card as tony never reached out to me again, not that I would trust him to refund the money anyway.
