I am writing to let people know how unfair Swiss Airlines is to the flying public. They are holding…read moreus hostage with their RIDICULOUS RULES. Let me tell you about our exasperating experience so far. We booked a Business class round trip from Malaga, Spain on December 18, 2023....to board a cruise ship in AUCKLAND on December 20th, that's a very premium time to travel...and we paid over $13,000 for those flights....you pay more when you fly during high season...so no problem there. There are 2 segments to our cruises...one starting on December 20th in Auckland ending on January 4th in SYDNEY.....then the second one is from SYDNEY January 4th to January 21st ending in SYDNEY. There's a reason I am mentioning the dates. Due to an important family event, we had to cancel the December 20th cruise from AUCKLAND, now only able to go on the January 4th, 2024 cruise. So, I contacted my Consolidator, to make flight changes...thinking now that we're flying AFTER the Holidays, the airfare should come down somewhat. But to my ASTONISHMENT, I was told that we needed to pay a LOT MORE. SWISS AIR NOW is telling us that we need to pay ANOTHER $2,695.00 EACH, A TOTAL OF $5390.00 added fare for a flight AFTER all the HOLIDAYS. So we decided that ok, we don't want to pay the extra $5390.00, so we will then downgrade to Premium Economy for the outbound to Sydney. WRONG!!!!! we were told that SWISS AIR DOES NOT ALLOW VOLUNTARY DOWNGRADES....RIDICULOUS....they are holding us HOSTAGE. WHAT is their reasoning for not allowing us to downgrade??? If we cancel the entire flights, we will have such a big credit balance with Swiss Air, and at this time...not interested in Flying Swiss Air anytime soon. And they WILL NOT refund the monies to Us. Tell me what is wrong with this picture???? Why can't we downgrade ??? OR, WHY is the fare so much higher flying to Sydney , which is closer than AUCKLAND....and it's AFTER the Holidays. We prefer to stay in Business class, we're seniors and need comfort for those long flights. They are being Unreasonable. Swiss AIR, we ask that you'll reconsider your position. They lost my daughter's bag and pretty much ignore us when we try contacting them. Except for the…read moreone time we actually spoke to a real person who was extremely nasty and arrogant. Dealing with this airline has been just about my worst customer service experience ever and I have had some bad ones.

Trip from Madrid myself and 2 boys (one whose bday was supposed to be the day after we'd returned)…read morethrough Heathrow to Chicago (ORD). IB Flight (8a) leaves 1.25 hours late from Spain- our 2h window becomes a mad dash to meet security at customs saying BA pulled us off the flight - go see Iberia customer counter. 3.5h later Iberia staff have been unable, they confess they're actually BA staff covering (no actual Iberia staff - even had me call Iberia call center), supervisor (BA) says only option- take a flight tomorrow on our AA partner, we'll put you in a room overnight, dinner voucher, grab your bags and recheck in following day; next day (640) we attempt check-in at AA- no itinerary, go speak to BA, BA turn and say can't help- go to another terminal and find Iberia staff to accommodate. I put my foot down and told the agent to get her manager- he can walk us to the terminal, print our tickets and hand them personally. (750a) find BA agent at the opposite end of counter appreciating AA agent for helping. AA agent firmly says put your bags, here's your tickets- my now 10 y old pipes up 'could you please upgrade me for my birthday?' She smirks and said ask at your gate - maybe they can help you. We're now waiting for the final leg 2.5h again delayed. Thanks to the wonderful staff involved (IB tele - Gian Franco; BA - Georgia; AA - Deborah) - for helping us celebrate my 10 yr old's birthday running around London/Heathrow with his brother and I; mom and lil sis are safe at home- took another flight. All the signs here say 'please respect our employees' so I'll leave my other choice words aside

My…read morewife's luggage did not arrive, we file the luggage claim and chased the service centre for two days on the date 22nd and found the luggage but till today the 24th still doesn't know when the luggage can return. We stay in London for 5 days, now didn't how many days shall extend to wait for the luggage? Chui Iberia service centre response can't do anything, request us to wait.
