If you do have to cancel, cheapoair chat and customer service people will give you two different refund values 5. They do not disclose the cancellation fees cheapoair will charge and will only give you the airline cancellation value. 6. So until the refund is processed you will have no idea of what is going to be refunded from the overall package. See chat for proof. It took us 5 hrs of calls to get cheapoair to acknowledge the lack of disclosure. While we figured a partial refund, please please ask every breakdown to the penny when you book or request refund to avoid frustration should something not work out. Cheapoair does not disclose what is not asked even if you have paid for it.

I would have rated Cheapoair only 1 star (I have no choice since I can't rate with 0) considering how they messed up with my flight 2 weeks ago. It's a good thing I did not give up waiting for a Supervisor to take my call and reverse the charges they were asking from me for a flight reschedule I never authorized. The first agent I talked to was rude. He kept interrupting me. Thank you for helping me though (I waited for 5 hours until the whole hoolabaloo was fixed). You deserve two stars and be grateful for that. read more

OMG! I can't believe such a company exists in the United States! They cancelled 2 ticket ANA from La to Tokyo without my authorization, with zero refund!!!! If my credit card doesn't dispute $2,159, I'm not even pay to my credit card, I already talked with the bank and gave them all information with details. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CHEAPOAIR BEFORE OBSERVING THEIR VIOLATIONS IN PERSON. read more

You May Be Tempted, But RUN! I wish I had researched this a bit more thoroughly before booking, but I saw a number of good reviews (paid for???) and called. What a miss - first booked me on a different flight than I'd requested, then charged me to change the flight, then let me know I only had a "standby" ticket and if I wanted a guaranteed seat? - guess what? Another charge! A total mess and WAY more than I would have paid if I'd booked directly with the airline. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

NOT EVEN ONE STAR!: I booked with Cheap-O-Air and the policy of the airlines was a TOTAL refund for a cancelation within 24 hours, BUT Cheap-O-Air kept $100 and did not fully refund me. I spoke again with the airlines about this, and the airlines said they MUST FULLY refund me, but Cheap-O-Air said it is THEIR policy to keep the $100. SO, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH CHEAP-O-AIR. read more

This company is a total scam, when I traveled to Mexico I had a car reservation, paid and scheduled. When I arrived I was told there was no such reservation, but my credit card was charged for the full 12 days. After emailing them and calling them for days, I finally got a response from several Representatives from what sounded like they were in India. They kept giving me the runaround, telling me they were looking into it and trying to get my refund from the vendor. I kept telling them I didn't care who the vendor was, I paid CheapOair and they should refund me immediately and take care of the situation with their vendor. They tried to give me a $17 refund when the charge on my credit card was over $300 Good thing I kept copies of my conversations, printed documents and emails. I sent that to Chase Bank and I insisted the put charge back on them. This company's reviews at every website are all negative comments. I am surprised the government is not banning this company. There must be a law firm somewhere that can review all of these scams and horrible situations with CheapOair and put in place a major lawsuit against them. I strongly encourage you to never do business with them and block them from your system. read more

This company is a total f'ing disaster from start to finish. Booking & Confirmation Issues We purchased our tickets online and received an email with "Receipt" in the subject line, which led us to believe that our flight was confirmed. We packed our bags and rushed to the airport. However, while attempting to check in en route, nothing worked. We then called your customer service and spent one hour on the phone with a representative who informed us that our tickets were never confirmed. With no time to spare, we instructed him to book our flight immediately. He explained that there were no more seats available on his website, claimed that our credit card had not yet been charged (although it actually was), and assured us that he could secure a flight home if we purchased a one-way ticket at the airport desk--because he had confirmed directly with the airline that seats were available. Airport & Flight Mishaps Following his instructions, we rushed to the airport--incurring $4 in short-term parking fees--and proceeded to the gate. There, the airline staff informed us that the 4:00p.m. flight did not exist for our intended route. Instead, they explained that the flight was from Key West, not to Key West, and that no flight to Key West had operated in over a week. The next available flight was at 6:30a.m. the following day. This not only left us stranded but also resulted in missing our first night at the resort and spending almost three hours on the phone with your customer support. Lost Baggage & Further Disruption After enduring a 45-minute flight to Key West on the rescheduled 6:30a.m. flight, we discovered that our luggage was missing. We were assured by airline staff that our bags would be delivered directly to our hotel by 1:30p.m. However, when 3:30p.m. arrived, we received no update. Despite repeated calls and texts to the provided contact, we were completely blown off and eventually had to take an Uber all the way back to the airport--only to be told that our bags were there, with no explanation or apology. This mishandling resulted in additional delays and caused us to spend the entire second day of our vacation resolving the luggage issue. This experience is completely unacceptable and I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy. read more

Do not use this company!!!!I purchased flight tickets through this company and as soon as I got done with the reservation, I got blasted with different emails about the air lanes making changes on my flights. I suspect that they keep selling the same tickets over and over. Long story short! I ended up canceling my reservation two days before my flight, what costs me hundreds of dollars more to buy new tickets on short notice. I'm very unhappy with their service and would not recommend it to anyone! read more

I had cancelled my ticket from Delhi to Toronto (YYZ) on May 27, 2025. At the time of cancellation, CheapOair charged me $175 as a refund fee and promised that I would receive $833.60 back. However, they never mentioned that the refund would take 60-90 days to process until I followed up later. Now, even after the 90 days have passed, no refund has been credited to my account. I have called their customer service multiple times, but no real action has been taken. Recently, I was told that there is actually no fixed timeframe for refunds--which is completely different from what I was told earlier. This is extremely disappointing. CheapOair is holding on to customers' hard-earned money, providing misleading information, and offering very poor customer service. Their website also provides no proper response or support. I strongly advise others never to use CheapOair. They are unreliable, misleading, and seem to be running a scam with their refund process. read more

I booked a round-trip ticket to Barbados months in advance. When I got to the airport, I was denied boarding because they claimed I didn't have a valid return ticket. After checking, I saw the issue: their system had my return flight departing from my original departure country instead of from Barbados. In other words, my itinerary literally had me leaving the same place twice and arriving at the same place twice completely impossible for a round-trip ticket. CheapoTickets tried to blame me, claiming I booked it that way, which is flat-out impossible since their system doesn't even allow customers to change the return departure location. They refused to fix it. Even worse, other travelers with me who booked on different days and times had the exact same error. This is clearly a system-wide glitch, and their refusal to take responsibility cost us time, money, and caused major stress. Travelers beware double-check your tickets and don't expect help when their system messes up. read more

zero star for Cheapoair.com yesterday I was booking with them and in one page was showing one total price in the 300s, when I place my card number and click pay, I was shocked with more than 700 charge in my card. I imedi called them to cancel, guess they did? they took another 150 dollars to cancel my transaction. it's a thief, should have laws to protect the custoners from those thief's, dishonest, bad business, who screw customers for money. 150 dollars for what? less than a minute after I click on to pay. it's totally screw, totally disgusting. CheapOair.com are thieves. they should not be in business at all. besides all this stress, they make me waiting for part of my money back. I want all my money back. Stop scamming people! I was so excited to get a lower rate... until I gave them my credit card and they locked me in at a higher price thinking I wouldn't check! So I went back and looked. Bait & Switch Pricing!!! Do NOT use this to book your travel!!!! They show you a cheaper fare than competitors and then nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. Then right when you confirm and hit pay, you don't get a "confirmation." It says your reservation is "pending." Then you'll get a phone call from someone with an Indian accent (3 times I was on the phone. All 3 times, Indian customer service). And they shockingly tell you "Oh, we're so sorry! The price went up. But we can try and find you another flight." The 1st time this happened to me, I thought it was legit. I listened to other flights and prices they gave me, yet at my computer I saw better prices. So I said I'll call back later. I booked another flight with them and just sat back and waited for my phone to ring. And it did. And then they said the same thing all over again. Magically the price always rises to the same price as other booking sites. It seems that a number of travel sites use this strategy to get priority over other sites upfront pricing. Awful experience. When I called them out on it, they just ask me if I want to cancel, no questions asked. You're better off working with a reputable and honest site like Booking.com and such. read more

I clicked on a flight the date change I contacted them immediately and they tried to charge to cancel, and then said they would wave it but then never canceled it. A friend purchased ticket for me as a surprise, but they also purchased cancellation insurance through cheapoair. Unfortunately They did not read that cheapoair uses Tripmate as the carrier for the cancellation. Tripmate is a fraudulent company. They ask for copies of every single document, even credit card statements They also what me to sign a release for all my medical records. All this for a $500 ticket. read more

I've used Cheapoair for about 20 years on and off. I've recently in the past year booked 2 flights through them and have had nothing but problems. Changing flights, then changing seats, they simply can't be trusted anymore. It's such a shame as I used to swear by them. They cut you off if you have a problem. 5 minutes after booking online. ($200 flight), I received a call from CheapOAir, trying to get me to pay an additional $28 for something I could barely understand what he was saying and basically told him to F-off and hung up on him. Now calling them to cancel and if they do not cancel, I will call my credit card company. I've used lots of third-party booking agencies, but I've never had anybody. We bought a round trip ticket with insurance, we had to cancell one way. They charged us an extra 40+ dollars to cancell. The ticket was $250+ dollars they said we will only be recieving $193 dollars credit back not refund and taxes are non refundable. read more

So I called cust serv after reading a promo on CheapOair stating by calling I can get better deals. After a while I had the impression was going to be helpful. 4:40 am may 3 2024 was when call ended said will call me back after he checks on better deals withing 15min-30mins. NEVER DID. I'm writing this review at 6:27 am and still no return call. This is a shame I mention how important was to take my mother as a gift for mothers day. But he made sure he told me about short survey after the call, which I did as highly satisfied. Definitely I REGRET. If I would've known he was going to ghost me...the survey would've been a highly dissatisfied. Going to surprise my granddaughters in Las Vegas, and they weren't going to be home that week as it turns out. So I call CheapO and tell them I bought insurance for cancellation and they give me number to some insurance company.... insurance tells me they can't reimburse me cause granddaughters not going to be home is not a reason they cover with insurance policy. WTF? So I call Cheapo again and say sorry but we can't help you. Cheap had advertised this flight to Vegas for $100 RT but of course it cost me $280 after all the add ons (including useless insurance) Cheapo told me to call Spirit airlines who I was going to fly with.... they said "Best we can do is give you a credit voucher for $100 the cost of my ticket before Cheapo added all their crap. But the charges were so high it was cheaper to book a new flight on the Cheapoair website! It didn't make sense. I have lost all trust with Cheapoair. Non-native English speakers on Chat and live. The software did NOT let me get assigned seats for the departing flight, just the return flight. When I chatted about it with them, then called them, I was told that the tickets weren't paid for yet. BUT the software took my credit card number, and obviously gave them a confirmation number which is why I got a "Booking Number". But they said the ticket was NOT paid, the tickets weren't issued, and I could NOT get an assigned seat for the two of us traveling. DO NOT use CheapOair if you don't want the nightmare of trying to understand non-native English speakers, have to wait for HOURS to get seats assigned, and be constantly talked over as you are asking a question!!! It is NOT worth the small amount I saved using them instead of booking through the airline. read more

Do not book your airline ticket(s) with them. My credit card get charged 3 times. Call them twice and they said just a booking error. The extra charge will be remove but it never removed. Poor customer service. They advertise ROUTES car rental service. A company that didn't show up to the car rental service area to shuttle me to where they actually exist which is not in the same area. I was forced to rent a car from one of the other rental companies that morning. When I asked for a reimbursement I was made to produce my iphone log of the ten minute phone call I made to ROUTES. After being asked the third time for the same request it was clear Cheap O Air had no intentions of reimbursing me. Terrible customer service. I run a business and we would never endorse a service company as poor as ROUTES. And when a customer is dissatisfied, we make it right for them. $150 cost them a future customer.....forever! read more
I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. Got scammed/got played. Made the mistake of accidently booking a month earlier. Realized the mistake and contacted them twice via phone call. Both times they said it would take some time and that the change request was pending. And they would call me back. (got ghosted both times). Decided to use the messenger on the last day, all was going well, had some hope. Was responsive, had messages going back and forth for almost an hour. I realize it was the day my flight was suppose to leave. The messages dragged for almost an hour. Then support messaged it was too late the flight could no longer make changes. They said I was suppose to call back 24hours after each attempt I did previously; however support told me they would call me back; I even confirmed and inquired should I give a call back if I didnt get one within the timeframe, he said no and they would call. Just bought tickets and feel totally scammed. The website was glitching and not letting us move from the seat selection to payment details so after 15 minutes of trying different things I got on my phone and downloaded their app. Went through the app, found the same flights and went to purchase the tickets....... Flight Confirmation 87183795 in case CHEAT-0 decides to do anything about this and at least attempt some customer service. Big Banner with PRICE GUARANTEE along the top of the screen as it's processing the order. Then it cancels the flights, all of which showed that they were about 1/2 full, and resets for $140 more than the original price with e different plane or two. It won't let us select seats until we pay and so after paying an additional $140 for the almost exact same flight times on the same dates, we are given the option for seat selection at minimum $9.95/person/seat PER FLIGHT! What is going on!!! When I call a representative the next day, they tell me not to worry because I can just wait to make sure that my Wife and 7 year old son get to sit next to each other while checking in for the flight and that will save me $80. And she assures me that they will make sure that a parent/child sit together... am I supposed to believe that? After that, she proceeds to try and sell me on baggage protection for an extra almost $30. So to recap, a $1326 flight is magically changed to a $1466 flight with an additional $110 being asked for in seats and baggage protection. $250 added after hitting the book now button and no one able to give me ANY customer service! I had to ask a chat bot 3 times to get a damn number to call to speak with an actual person. I hope I never use this service again. I would expect that instead of offering to CHARGE me for baggage protection, they would offer that as at least a little lube while bending me over a barrel. Ridiculous. Supposedly I'll get a call from someone who has some decision making ability to "review" the whole process but I am not hopeful. OH, and we bought the extra protection and the additional packages to try and avoid any of the BS...All the fees with none of the customer service. CHEAT-O AIR DOESN'T CARE. read more

Dear Team, I am writing to formally address a matter of significant concern regarding my recent experience with your travel agency, specifically involving the actions of your agent, Clifton. As a disabled passenger protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), I made it clear to Clifton on multiple occasions that my caregiver and I required a hotel package that included breakfast. Clifton repeatedly assured us that breakfast was included in our reservation; however, upon contacting the hotel directly, we discovered that this was not the case. Furthermore, I have consulted with my bank regarding this situation, and they have informed me that the release of funds for a refund must be initiated immediately from your company's side, not in the typical 3 to 5 business days often cited for such transactions. This misrepresentation constitutes a breach of contract and potentially violates consumer protection laws. It has caused not only financial inconvenience but also considerable stress, which negatively impacts my health given my medical condition. The failure to provide the agreed-upon accommodations may also be viewed as discrimination against a person with disabilities, which carries serious legal implications. Given the circumstances, I am demanding a full refund for the booking, as the service promised was not delivered. This request is not only reasonable but also in line with your legal obligations to provide accurate information and appropriate accommodations to customers, particularly those with disabilities. Please be advised that if I do not receive confirmation of my refund within 24 hours, in accordance with my bank's statement regarding the immediacy of fund releases in such situations, I will be compelled to pursue legal action to resolve this matter. This may include filing a complaint with the relevant consumer protection agencies and seeking damages for the distress and inconvenience caused. I believe it is in both our interests to settle this issue promptly to avoid further complications and potential legal consequences. Buyer caution is advised. I have also shared my feedback on Yelp. On August 31, we rented a vehicle from this establishment and opted for comprehensive insurance coverage. Unfortunately, just an hour later, we were involved in an Auto Accident that was not our fault. We strongly suspect that we were being followed by the rental company. As a result of the accident, my wife suffered a broken and collapsed nose, my 13-year-old has extensive bruising, and my 23-year-old daughter has a T10 spinal fracture. We diligently followed all the necessary procedures and fulfilled all the requirements set by the rental car company. However, it took an excruciating six hours for the police and the rental company to arrive at the scene of the accident. Leaving before their arrival would have jeopardized our claim. It was distressing to see my wife bleeding profusely, and despite my efforts to stop the bleeding, they showed no concern. Adding to our frustration, it is now the middle of October and we have only received $5002 out of the nearly $9000 that this company owes us. They claim that everything is covered except for the taxes and the surgeon's fees for my wife's necessary surgery. I believe there is no need for me to elaborate further on this matter. I implore you, for the sake of your own well-being, please refrain from renting from this company. I am in the process of gathering accurate information to initiate both a class action lawsuit and a personal lawsuit against this company. I am also planning to launch a comprehensive campaign across multiple media platforms, targeting websites such as cheapoair.com, travelocityhotel.com, and any other relevant platforms within the United States. I urge you to read the reviews about this company, as they currently have a dismal rating of 1.3 on Yelp. It is truly outrageous. Unacceptable Service Experience with CheapOair I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with CheapOair that compelled me to share my dissatisfaction with their services. I engaged with CheapOair to book a flight, and what ensued was a series of errors that left me astonished at the lack of professionalism and attention to detail. Upon submitting my passport details for the flight booking, I discovered a discrepancy in my name on the confirmation. I promptly contacted CheapOair's customer service to rectify the error. Unfortunately, what followed was a sequence of three more attempts to correct my name, each time with the same disappointing outcome. Absolutely the Worst Rental Experience - Avoid at All Costs This has been by far the worst rental company I've ever dealt with. Due to weather, my flight was canceled and rescheduled. I called ahead to notify them and was reassured that my reservation would still stand and a vehicle would be available when I arrived. That turned out to be a complete lie. When I finally landed in Puerto Rico, not only did they not have my car, but they claimed there was no record of my reservation at all. I was then bounced around between the rental company and the third-party service (CheapOair), with each one telling me to contact the other. NextCar told me to call the store location, and when I did, they informed me that they use a different system because they're independently owned. No one took accountability. To make matters worse, I was in the middle of planning my grandmother's 90th birthday and arranging hospital transportation for my grandfather--this added even more unnecessary stress. After three days of exhausting back-and-forth, the third-party company offered me a refund of only $182--when I paid over $600. That's a slap in the face. I didn't cancel my reservation. They failed to provide the service they promised. I should receive a full refund. I left the airport frustrated, stressed, and without a car. This company is completely disorganized, unreliable, and unprofessional. If you want peace of mind when you travel, do yourself a favor and stay far away from NextCar and CheapOair. read more

I took the initiative to reach out to the airline directly, and their representative informed me that they could easily address my concern if only CheapOair would submit a request. This lack of follow-through and failure to initiate the necessary steps with the airline has left me frustrated and disappointed. Despite my unwavering loyalty as a user of their website for ten years, they consistently disregard my concerns. I am left feeling extremely frustrated and dissatisfied. I wholeheartedly caution against using this website to purchase flight tickets, as they offer no support or assistance when issues arise. In fact, if you encounter any problems with your flight that are caused by them, they will go to great lengths to shift the blame onto you. BEWARE!!! We booked our flight for our honeymoon and paid our flight, baggage fees and upgraded seats at that time. We paid $771, then the next day we see they charged another $184 without contacting us to get authorization for this charge! When we contacted them, turns our they charged this fee for our upgraded seats, which we had already paid the agreed to price of $338, now they upped it to $522!! The seats are now costing more than double what the flight was! They refuse to make any adjustment even though I have the original invoice showing we were already charged for our seat upgrade- TOTAL SCAM!!! I would completely cancel and rebook through a reputable site but they refuse to refund my money! read more

CheapOair Uses Bait-and-Switch Pricing - Stay Away! I booked a flight with CheapOair TWICE in the last 10 days, only to receive an email afterward asking for a fare increase. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a bait-and-switch scam! If the fare is confirmed at booking, why is the price suddenly going up? This practice is misleading, unethical, and a huge inconvenience. Instead of honoring the original price, they hold your booking hostage unless you agree to pay more. Customer service is unhelpful and offers vague explanations. Save yourself the headache and book directly with airlines or more reputable travel agencies. You can't do anything on this site - everything has to be done by calling a number that never works and the automated system never understands the number itinerary number. And ur support people are the worst ! So are ur managers ! Your customer service is unbearable and the lowest class possible ! I will never ever use your site again - I don't care if I pay triple with Expedia - it is worth it ! These guys went out of their way to contact me from across the world to get me my refund. My card changed since making the insured reservation that got cancelled due to covid. I almost thought that I was never gonna get the money - mainly because of the name of the company - but I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with their dedication to costumer service! Also, tickets were quite cheap! Very good overall!! read more

The airline charged my elderly parents and aunt for having to change their flights due to the wildfires in California. How does that make sense? Almost $600 a piece to change their flights to get out of danger. Would NOT recommend using them. This is not the first time this travel service has screwed over my family on a trip. read more
