Authentic food, real middle-eastern kitchen, good service, value can be a bit more and then I would give it the highest rating.

    Zweistrom - Vegan Falafel Wrap

I came to Zweistrom's for a much needed late-night snack. It was a Saturday night and the…read moreneighborhood was vibing! I ordered the falafel wrap. The falafels were fried to order, which I appreciate. After the falafels were ready, the gentleman working put them in a wrap and then went to the bar of vegetables and toppings in front of me. He added hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, and I think a spicy mustard. After he finished stuffing the wrap, he rolled it up and placed it on a grill press for a few minutes. My falafel wrap was delicious and full of flavors and textures! Starting with crunchy! It had a big crunch from the grilled wrap. Then I got the added crunch from the falafel. It was then followed by the smooth and savory hummus. The vegetables were a perfect addition. Extra: Vegan options Open late - 3 am! A few seats inside Outdoor seating available It was authentic, inexpensive, fresh, fast, and they were open late! My falafel wrap was the best late night snack that didn't make me feel guilty or bloated the next day. Also, the service was good too! The gentleman working was kind and had great energy. We chatted for a little, it was really nice. I wish him the best of luck. If you're in the area, I highly suggest stopping by. Everything in the platter was delicious, but the falafel in particular was out of this world!!! It was so different from the falafels I'm used to. It's crunchy on the outside. And these falafels are HUGE! My friend lives in Berlin and this is her favorite place to eat. Come here if you have the chance, you won't regret it.

Locate the place and order the most recommended dish. Al-Andalos is located in the busy part of Neukölln, right on Sonnenallee. On a Saturday night at 10 p.m., it was full to the rim. No seats, stressed out staff, people fight for seats and the spot in the line to get the delicious food. We ordered the Al-Andalos platter for two (meat) for 11 EUR, which comes with an entire package of Arabic/Lebanese bread. We were barely able to finish the entire plate, there are many tasty things on this plate and even my companion that night, who is generally not so quickly to impress, admitted that it was probably the best he has eaten in a long time. Fresh, tasty, large portions and fair prices. Staff is super friendly and attentive! I think I will have to drive out to Neukölln more often!

The plate also came with several condiments: amba (mango sauce), toum (garlic sauce), shatta (spicy chili sauce), and tarator (tahini sauce). We also got the Grill Teller, which came with an assortment of grilled meats including chicken kebab, lamb kebab, lamb chop, and lamb kafta, along with hummus, salad, and pickles. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful, but my favorite item was the huge falafels, which were nicely seasoned and had a nice crispy exterior. Overall, a great self-service restaurant, where you could help yourself to bread, utensils, and plates--and everything came at a good value too!

I tend to rate Lebanese restaurants in the basics - hummus, falafel, tabouli, babaganoush - and while I only had the first three I can say all were on point. Especially the falafel which had just the right amount of crispness and moistness. Super fast and friendly service. This is not the place for candlelight dinners, but most great ethnic food places are not. One hundred percent recommend.
