I just returned from my first session with her, and I already feel a sense of peace and calm. She truly cares for her patients and took the time to address all of my concerns. Above all, her empathy, generosity, and skill moved me deeply and renewed my hope in both humanity and the medical system. Dr. Jiny Lee is an angel of a human being and a master of her craft. She even gifted me a face mask she made herself with special herbs, which was such a thoughtful touch. Her staff are also incredibly professional and kind. Daniel and Suzanne were so helpful, and Erica, the nurse, was empathetic and supportive as well. The facilities are wonderful. I did not realize how large the office was until I was taken from the room where my vitals were checked to my private acupuncture room. They also offer chiropractic care, massage therapy, and other great services. I especially love that the acupuncture appointments take place in a private room. It creates such a peaceful, spa-like, and relaxing atmosphere. There is also ample free parking in the back, which is a huge plus. I drive from Hollywood to come here, and it is absolutely worth the drive. If you are looking for a wonderful acupuncturist who truly cares, look no further. I have been to several acupuncturists in the Los Angeles area, and after just one session, I am beyond thrilled to have found Dr. Jiny Lee.

I am lucky to have known some of the staff of NuView for a few years now. The role they play in…read moregetting people sober is absolutely pivotal. Every staff member has a very thorough education in addiction and recovery. I'm talking book knowledge as well as years of (sometimes harrowing, often inspiring) experiences. They have an authentic passion for recovery. And they know what this kind of transformation should look like. The clinical staff at NuView possesses a diverse range of skills. These skill sets include pragmatic things like self-development training, which can help clients get jobs, write resumes, or even just manage their own money better. But they also teach important qualities like emotional intelligence, conflict management, and how to handle not wanting to get out of bed in the morning. These are important skills to learn after someone has stopped using drugs and alcohol. Why? Life gets hard when you can't rely on alcohol or drugs to make it SEEM good. So you need to do the hard work of MAKING your life better. At NuView's outpatient programs, they support and guide you through that process. Much of that involves group therapy and other kinds of counseling, including family therapy and one on one meetings. They locate your weak points and help you create a plan for dealing with them, always making sure you take it one step at a time. They also share their own knowledge with you. They know what addiction is from a medical perspective. And there's no reason why someone with an addiction shouldn't know that as well. Sometimes people don't know why they feel such a strong compulsion to drink or do drugs. The staff at NuView help clients realize that it's not some moral failure - it's a legitimate mental health condition with neurological, emotional, and interpersonal causes. And it can be treated. NuView is especially good at helping people who have a history of relapse or who have struggled with getting sober even after attending other rehabs. This is because they put more personal care into their treatment approaches than most other rehabs. Their treatment plans are generally customized for each individual client. This makes sense, since addiction is a pretty wide category, and it is not the same for everyone. Their outpatient programs provide a holistic approach to addiction. Clients have access to a safe and supportive community. They also get a social network of other people in recovery, so they can all grow together. You won't feel alone even for one minute throughout this process. For family members, they also put on many events and try to include them in the treatment process. Literally everyone gets a chance to heal and to work on themselves. If you're dealing with addiction now or if you just quit, it's time to treat yourself to a clean and sober life that's actually good. Why get sober and be miserable? At NuView, no matter how broken down you are, you WILL experience a transformation. Simple as that.

I absolutely love everything about this facility - from Dr. Walker Ozar and the front desk staff to Julianne, Jay, and the PT team. Everyone is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping their patients feel and function better. The facility is beautiful and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and treatment techniques. Over the years, I've done everything from Pilates and Gyrotonic to acupuncture, cupping, chiropractic and physical therapy. The only thing left on my list is to get in there for red light therapy! I would highly recommend OWH to anyone and have personally referred many people here over the years. I'm so grateful to have found such an incredible team.

My first problem is that this place profits off of selling wellness, everything about it feels…read moredesigned to sell you more sessions, more "treatments," more add-ons, instead of actually listening and helping you heal. Another problem is the owner, Dr. Ozar, who was quite unpleasant in my few interactions. When treatments don't feel right or work, his response is always that "you're not putting in the work", and it's incredibly discouraging to hear as a patient. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility or even reassessing the treatment plan, he shifts all the blame onto me! the person who is paying him hundreds of dollars. Dr. Ozar barely spends any time with patients -15 mins max, he'll pop in, give generic feedback, suggest you spend some more money, and move on. If they're running behind (which happens often), you can be left sitting in a cold room for up to 30 minutes. Sometimes they'll put you on electrical stimulation during that wait and yes, you're billed for it - I saw it in the codes from my insurance. It feels like they'll charge for anything they can. Now to the office side of things: billing is confusing and full of surprise charges. Itemized receipts are hard to get, and follow-up questions via email are often ignored. Communication about both care and billing is slow and inconsistent, leaving you constantly chasing down information and waiting for email replies. The staff behind the desk is lovely but clearly don't know what's going on with the billing - which is sketchy. I'm posting this anonymously because I've seen how harshly this business responds to negative reviews. And what really shocked me was how rude and defensive Dr. Ozar is in response to feedback. You can see it for yourself - just look at how he replies to other negative reviews. Instead of taking criticism with professionalism, he argues with patients, accuses them of lying, and writes condescending replies that make him look petty and unkind. If you decide to go, protect yourself. Get those superbills, double-check every charge, and keep every email you get. Ask questions and don't be afraid to push back. You deserve to feel cared for, not sold to. My statements are 100% accurate and reflect my true experience. I have nothing to gain by writing a false account of my experience.

I want to be fair and make clear that Dr. Rand McClain and Nurse Rita were excellent. In my…read moreexperience, both genuinely care about their patients and went above and beyond to help me. Unfortunately, my experiences with other members of the office staff were very different. On one occasion, I needed therapeutic phlebotomy based on my physician's recommendation. The locations initially provided by the front office were not practical for me, and I explained that I needed medical direction because this was therapeutic phlebotomy, not simply donating blood. After I expressed my frustration about not receiving adequate assistance, I received a call from a physician who responded to me with, "What is your problem? Do you want us to do everything for you?" I found that response extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. Months later, I was driving roughly 50 miles to the office for a procedure I had coordinated with Nurse Rita. Because traffic had made me about 10 minutes late, I called the office while I was on my way. The front office told me I wasn't on the schedule and would not allow me to speak with Rita, even though she had coordinated the procedure. The final issue occurred when I missed an appointment because I was called away to respond to an emergency as a member of a SWAT team. I immediately contacted the office and apologized. I was told I would be charged for the missed appointment before management would even review the circumstances. When I asked whether management would speak with me before charging me, I was told no the charge would come first. At that point, I canceled my future appointments and decided I could no longer entrust my care to the practice. What makes this especially disappointing is that Dr. McClain and Rita are the exact opposite of these experiences. They have always treated me with professionalism and compassion. My issue is with the way I was treated by other members of the office and the apparent lack of consideration for the circumstances surrounding these situations. I am posting this review because I believe patients should know that the quality of the patient experience can depend greatly on who they are dealing with. I sincerely hope Dr. McClain becomes aware of these concerns, because the treatment I received from some members of the office did not reflect the level of care I received directly from him and Rita.
