I train once a week with Stephanie Krupa at Q-Performance Training Center, and she is the best trainer I have ever worked with. Stephanie helped me define my fitness goals, and then she put together a program that she tracks to ensure I am progressing. She is a positive and enthusiastic coach with endless new ideas for workouts. The gym itself is well-equipped and feels like a genuine place to work out, as opposed to an Equinox, which seems overly manicured for a gym. Q-Performance is a great place to train, and the members seem serious and courteous. I highly recommend Q-Performance for people in the area who are serious about fitness and looking for a local gym. read more

First off this location is incredible! It's by far the cleanest gym I have ever belonged to. Someone is always cleaning. The front desk staff is super friendly and always accommodating. If you see something that needs fixing just Let them know it's fixed immediately. The professional training team is always available if I have a question. The classes are fun and again super clean ! I started at this gym more than 10 years ago and then I left so I could go to college and Med school but ended up coming back. There has been a lot of renovations and additions to this gym and I think it's a great bang for your buck. For me everything I need is here. They have plenty of free weights going up to 140 lbs, squat rack and platform for cleans and snatches. The gym does get packed in the afternoon and normal peak times but doesn't bother me since I usually go early in the morning. They have added additional things like a battle rope and tire for those who want to try new things. I don't come here for the classes like Zumba and Pilates but I know their hours are sparse in terms of finding the right class at the right time so if your looking to do that on a tight sched this might not be the place for you. I give this establishment ZERO STARS! Only reason there is one star selected is because there is no option for zero stars and to write and post review you need to give a star rating. We were in a pandemic last year, this place shut down as most businesses did (we all lost during this pandemic) then proceeded to reopen in September and push your membership the extra months that THEY lost (again we all lost) during the pandemic. Wouldn't let you cancel, asked where in contract does it state that in case of a pandemic you will be billed for months lost. Again we all lost, no one made any money and now they're still trying to take money from people like myself that lost big time during the pandemic. Horrible management, horrible staff, horrible owner. Even when brought up about where does it state in contract that you can add the months lost to existing contract, staff would just change subject like it wasn't even brought up and then proceed to tell you they will talk to hire ups and get back to you. Never got back to you, just sent letters months later in the mail stating that you owe this extravagant balance. Makes me so sick to my stomach I can't even continue to tell you the rest of the situation. This will not be the last you have heard from me. read more

I have to agree with a lot of the below posters. The gym used to be much better, but they slowly removed features overtime. Furthermore, while the staff/trainers are cool, management is awful and there are far better gyms in the area. Take a look at 24hr Fitness, Retro Fitness, or Gold's gym before you think about signing up for a contract with Quest. The facilities are much cleaner, newer, and better managed. The main reason Quest is still in business is because management bleeds its members dry with the fine print. If you decide you don't like the facility anymore, move out of the state, are injured, or anything of the sort, it is unlikely that management will work with you. You will have to keep shelling out $$ until your contract is up, and your contract will auto renew. The only way to cancel is to go in person before your contract is up, on a day where management is actually there (almost never), even if you lying on a hospital bed or live out of the country. You cannot cancel over the phone, so good luck timing your arrival while Dayna is actually there, and then having to deal with her. In conclusion, stay away :). You have been warned. read more

This gym used to be very good but they cut down on the spin classes and now make you wear rubber bands bracelets for new members if you want to spin. It's not the best gym out there, but its got the right stuff. - $20 a month - not paying extra for classes unless you want to take the class a plus - stem sauna is very nice - clean A couple of down falls - no towels at times - on weekends it gets dirty But when it comes to canceling your membership at the end they make it very hard. First off, I was never a member, here, but I did enjoy the free 3 day (or week, I forgot) trial. The gym is rather small, but has enough equipment for the average gym-goer. The problem is, I'm not your average gym goer :) My heart was broken when I saw that they didn't have straight bars (Perhaps someone was hiding them? lol)! Also, I have to admit I hated the tiny atmosphere. I don't know why, but bigger facilities always get me more motivated. People wise, almost everyone seemed to mind their own business. I will however admit to this...there is no eye candy (IMO, of course). Dude, I can't help but notice! I'm a hot buff chick who likes to see the same (both guys and girls). I know most people don't care about this, but hey...you. That's right - you! You know you want it ;) Mind you, I am not the type to pick up guys at the gym. I just like to watch :) I never felt like the place was ever packed (I went at peak hours), but maybe I just got lucky? I never observed the personal trainers, but after having a discussion about the equipment, one of them asked me if I was a cheerleader (Awkward...). As for cleanliness, they are pretty immaculate. They even have wipies! The women's bathroom is extremely sanitary and cute as well. For $20, I guess the price is right for north Jersey, but I'm the type of gal who will pay a little more to get what I want. read more

I feel the need to stick up for this gym! Ok, it's not the best but it's all you need to get a good workout. It's not fancy and it's cleaner than the other post are claiming. The spinning classes are good! Saturday morning 8am Kathy will kick your but! And Pete Monday at 6:30 is awesome! I also think Anthony's class is worth going to. The staff is friendly and helpful. The parking is tight bc of construction next door but that's temporary. I think this Gym is great! It's not full of meat heads and it has what you need :) read more

I had joined this gym because I was being Overly charged at the gym I was at before Quest and I needed a change! When I joined, Reggie who I think is a manager was very informative and helpful- he even gave me my first month free! Quest was right by where I use to work so it was very convenient. The bathrooms were always very clean and they had a good selection of equipment. Now when I signed up I was informed I get a free training session but right away I said I'm not interested. After that I then received 2 texts on 2 different days from Nate who I guess is head of personal training asking me to meet with him. If I didn't answer the first text you think they would get the hint and not text me again. After that, the trainer Jonathan approached me during my workout on 3 separate occasions introducing himself and asking me if I was interested in personal training... did you not remember me from the first time that you had to ask me 2 more? Not to knock the trainers but I've seen them all train people and I've seen Nate do the exact same workouts with 3 different clients in 3 different sessions within a 90minute period... when you do that it's not very motivating for people to want to personal train. I was there for just over a year and everything else besides being hounded for training was good. I eventually cancelled due to COVID-19 but they were very accommodating with the cancellation request. read more

After being members of Metro USA in Rutherford, Blink in Lodi and 24- Hour in Hasbrouck Heights, this is by far the best gym experience. It is on the smaller side, and doesn't have all the extra's like a pool, sauna or babysitting, but it suits my purposes. I think the staff are very professional, which is hard to find these day's. Cleanliness is my number one priority and Quest meets that expectation completely. I hope they don't let that go! I wish they had a few more lighter weights for females out on the floor. The price is very reasonable as well. Very happy my husband and I decided to finally check this place out. Just cancelled our membership at 24 Hour, where we were very unhappy. We very much appreciate how the staff pays attention to the members, and if they look like they need anything. read more

I like that they're open until 11 during the week because I tend to go to the gym pretty late at night after my work day and dinner. They have what I need as far as reliable cardio machines, some decent machines and weights, and two punching bags that serve me well for my boxing. The people who work there are friendly and care about those they help become stronger and healthier. I only wish they were open longer on the weekends. read more

Well, I signed myself and my son up for the 2 for 1 membership. During the sign up process he never mentioned after a year, they would give us separate accounts, and charge us separately. So, I receive a bill saying my 16 year old son owes 142 dollars and he's is in collections. They've been charging my account monthly, I'm up to date on my membership, why didn't they automatically charge my card for my son's account or send him notice of the due bill. I called him and spoke to the owner and he says just pay it, can't help you. So I canceled my membership. Be careful, the value money over customers. Good luck. read more

The facilities are nice and the trainer I worked with was informative and helpful. However, cancelling my membership has been a nightmare. I cancelled in early September, but they are saying that it will actually end on Nov. 1st, according to their cancellation policy. Which, they are now using that as an excuse to charge me not only for October's monthly fee, but ALSO the annual membership fees which are charged in October. They want me to pay another $70+ because they are keeping my account active for another month and a half after I closed it! Nothing special or unique enough about this place to make it worth the hassle. read more

Only good thing about this gym is that it's always empty. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. Some of the classes are good especially body pump. My problem is with this gym was that I paid for my 18 month membership up front in order to get a discount ($45 a month) because of other much cheaper gyms in the area opening up, they lowered the month to month people to only $30 a month. When I questioned the manager about it they were unwilling to do anything. Needlesstosay, I did not rejoin once my membership expired. read more

I'm in the sweltering tomb which is Quest Fitness right now. It's also packed and I was unable to find an elliptical or treadmill that was working properly. This gym looks good on the surface but then you discover the filthy and broken cardio equipment. I don't think they ever clean them or fix the malfunctioning ones. I was really hoping to finally find a gym that is well run but this is definitely not it. I've heard it was once good so maybe there was an ownership change. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place unless you workout during the day when you can find functioning machines. read more

When I first started here I really enjoyed Quest, over the years however they have continually removed features and the value is not there anymore. Additionally after relocating due to a new job they would not accept my drivers license as a valid address and have continued to charge me. Just today I have been notified that they will be renewing my membership unless I come in (keep in mind that I have moved) and cancel my membership in person. I've already had to pay around 6 months in membership fees for months that I've been relocated and it seems like there's nothing I can do. It's a shame that a place I once loved has become a sham and a scam. read more

For ~$20/month, you can't go wrong. Lacks some of the frills of other places like daycare, basketball, pool etc. But for a standard gym, it has everything you'd need. Never have a problem finding a working treadmill, people (staff and customers) are nice, the parking situation has been fixed, towels are almost always available, and it's not dirty! read more

This gym used to be great until membership prices were dropped to match competitors. With the drop of membership came the terrible customer service and the Gym's increased focus on personal training. I could not work out with out having a personal trainer try to sell me sessions by trying to correct me. Fitness machines were often broken and during high traffic times it would be impossible to peacefully workout without being bothered by either a trainer or other members. The gym got crowded quickly and finding parking at times was terrible. Even when I purchased personal training sessions, the trainer had difficulty finding a location to workout it often leading to working out in the general gym area having other members asking the trainer questions which lead to the trainer not to pay attention to my workout which I paid for. Management is awful as is customer service. What I was told by word of mouth by management when I first signed up was completely false and when management turned over I felt as rather than being treated as a customer I was often treated like crap. Most gyms are a hassle to join and cancel your contract including quest. For the subpar quality you get at quest, your better off signing up at a franchised gym that has more benefits, more locations and better customer service for the same price. read more

I HATE THIS GYM! Not only is it horribly maintained, the staff is AWFUL. I started out my membership in the worst type of way. I am not a huge gym-goer. I go for the occasional cardio, but that's about it. I signed up for a three-day trial online and never once received confirmation that they received it. So, I decided to go as a guest myself once with my friend, and again as a guest a week later. Well, I'm assuming Joe, the guy manning the front desk recognized me from the previous week and refused to let me in the gym unless I signed a contract. I was extremely unhappy with the way this happened, but I figured "Hey, $20 and if I only come 4 or 5 times a month, it must be worth it right?" Wrong. They (barely) explained the terms of the membership and explained that I would be charged $50 in the month of October as a monthly payment instead of $21.35 like I normally would. Some sort of cleaning fee. Whatever. What they failed to mention was that it was $50 PLUS my monthly payment. So I was charged ALMOST EIGHTY DOLLARS for a typical $20/month membership. As a young, full time student, it is a lot of time for me to make $80 for a gym that I was tricked into signing up for that doesn't even provide quality service. So, being the incredibly unsatisfied customer that I was, I went in there and explained my frustration and the man at the front desk who proceeded to be nasty and mean and told me that I signed the contract that stated this. I brought a copy of my contract and it stated NO WHERE that I would be charged this outrageous fee for a cleaning fee. They offer one free session with a personal trainer for signing up for a basic membership but not one member of the gym followed through on that. They didn't do enough to advertise their classes or make them at convenient times. Parking is always a nightmare. The machines are either broken or dirty. And FORGET about finding a treadmill that actually WORKS when it's even sort of busy. Chances are half of them are taken or half of them are broken. Because of this gym I absolutely refuse to sign any contract for any membership of any kind ever again. The day my membership went from the one-year contract to auto-renewable I cancelled. Was never asked why, was never deterred to do otherwise. The staff doesn't care about their members, all they care about is the money they are making. I didn't go to the gym for the last three months of my membership. I would have rather worked out with my limited resources elsewhere than to spend my time at a place where it's staff did not care about it's members, who essentially YELLED at a member for questioning an outrageous charge to her checking account, who tricked a member into a membership. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Stay away. $20/month may sound great but I would rather pay $10/month for the hassle at blink fitness where I just use the basics and pay half the price of I would pay $60/month for 24 hour where the staff seems to actually care about their members. read more

Quest is such an awesome, home-y gym. The kind of place where you never have to wait for a machine, you get to know people by name and vice versa. It is impeccably clean and any problems you alert the staff about is fixed within 24 hours in my experience. Definitely worth a trip to check it out! The gym itself is great , it's clean and not that expensive but as a girl I'm going to warn any others that there are at least two male trainers there who would not leave me alone. The one trainer Mike would not leave me alone and was always flirty with me and tried asking me multiple times to hangout with him and come to his house which is really sketchy and unprossional as a gym trainer. He also had tried this on a friend of mine. He tries this with many girls. Trainers shouldn't be trying to sleep with girls from a gym. He thinks we are just numbers and do by have a sense of morals! Join elsewhere. This place used to be filled with caring, professional staff and amenities that no other gym in the area could offer. It had a family owned feel and was a facility that offered personal training and specialty group x classes for an amazing price. Unfortunately, over the past few months "changes have been made" and all of the knowledgeable, professional staff has either quit or been asked to leave because new management has decided to bring in their own people and begin charging for amenities and classes that were once free! Quest has lost all of its friendly, personal appeal and its members will now be paying for it- literally! If you are looking for a place to do your own thing, lift weights, use cardio equipment and go on your merry way- its probably worth the 19.99/month. It's not cleaned by a professional cleaning service, and hasn't been for years, but with new construction going on and carpets getting ripped up it shouldn't be too filthy right now (that won't last long). If your looking for classes and trainers, please don't waste your money. I can tell you first hand that this facility used to offer professional, effective and safe fitness regimes...now, personal training staff will be harassing you to pay extra for "small group training" which was really once just a regular class on the schedule offered to any Elite member for FREE or regular members at only $5. This gym went from a happy place to get your fit on, to a money hungry "selling shark" (exact words used by management) in hopes to get innocent members to pay more for their struggling PT department. If you decide to give Quest a try, all the power to you.. just be weary of contract loop holes and maintenance fees. Their attempt to change their appeal to compete with surrounding fitness facilities isn't fooling anyone. read more
