I don't want to hurt anyone's business so I hope this will be taken as an opportunity to improve. I've recently moved here and am finding a real lack of choices for services I was accustomed to in a bigger city. I expected that, no big deal. Upon arrival I was told the standard "pick a color" by who I believed to be the owner. I asked to see their shellac colors. They have some color wheels noting the colors of shellac or gel they offer (very limited except for extreme colors and I"m not the glittery, glitzy nail art kinda girl). I mentioned I'd be doing a different color on my toes and did NOT want the shellac for those. I got a 5 min attempted explanation of which ones are for toes, which are for fingers and she kept getting more and more agitated the longer I looked and tried to figure out what she was saying. She had a customer whom she walked away from to "assist" me and there was no one ready to take me anyway so it wasn't like anyone was waiting to take me and she didn't need to stand there while I looked at the color choices. When the young girl I was assigned to did my pedicure, she did a decent job but put the wrong color on the toes (realizing this only after the painting the 10th toe) and had to do it over again. When it came time for the manicure, she just cut my nails a bit (at my request) - no filing or smoothing the edges whatsover, told me to go wash and then began to paint my nails. I asked if she could do the things standard for a manicure (I don't have acrylic nails, and wasn't getting refills) and she kind of giggled and realized I was expecting not just a polish change - but to have my cuticles pushed back, skin around the nail bed trimmed, etc. So maybe 1 star is harsh but this whole debacle took over 2 hours and the result is less than I'd expect even from a beginner at a beauty college. Live and learn. Guess I'll be going out of town for my mani/pedis from now on. read more

I brought my daughter here for a mani & pedi for her birthday & the service was decent but could've been better. Communication was terrible. I try to talk to them & they just look at me dumbfounded! I felt like I was in the movie "Rush Hour" and I was Chris Tucker saying "Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth! " Shouldve went to Victoria. But it's ok. Helen, the owner, has been at this location for 15 plus years and is still going strong. She has other people in there to help her and they do well. I no longer live in Cuero, so I don't go often, but I was there in in May and had a pedicure. It was great. Dead skin accumulates and thickens in the corners of my nails and hurts like an ingrown toenail. She got all of this out and did a perfect french polish. This is a small town, and I'm not from here, just here with my boyfriend becuase of his job. Maybe its just me but it seems like if you're a regular you get treated great, if you're not they aren't too friendly to you. That was my case. I went in at 11, didn't get greeted, oh well, but after waiting 30 mins I deided to come back at 3. Again, didnt get greated or anything,they just look at you....no smile nothing. I even said hello...nothing so I just sat down, and waited 45 mins which I wasn't mad about. At 3:30 3 ladies come in obviously regulars and the ladies working here greated them, asked them what they would be getting done today, blah blah, blah. Finally they called me I said I wanted to get my toes painted and I want....she interupted me and told me to sit in the chair, so I sat and she started filing, I said I also need my eyebrows waxed...she looked at me then turned to another ladie said something ( I couldnt undersatnd) then told me she said no..I was like really? The other lady chimed in and said NO, because I have these other ladies that came in so we will be busy. REALLY?! I wish I would have known this before I wited 45 mins! She said I could come back tomorrow...I said No, I think I will be going elsewhere. Sorry this is so long, I just got back and am still pretty annoyed lol. On a good note my toes look great, they just made me get up and pay and pretty much made me leave without them drying.....I was prett annoyed I got denied services when they clearly wax eyebrows becuase they would be too busy.
