I will start by saying that Josephine is so easy to talk to! She gave me a very thorough tarot card reading and was definitely accurate. She has a sign outside that says walk-ins welcome, but her door is always closed and when I knocked I could hear her say "let me get rid of the person outside." Then, when she opened the door she said "I don't want to be disturbed." I understand that when she's with another client she doesn't want to disrupt their session but not having basic manners is no way to do business. She could've just said something like "sorry, I'm with someone right now, please come back later." I will also add that this was my second attempt seeing her, as I had stopped by 2 weeks ago during her opening hours only to find she was not in at all. So even though the ads say walk-ins are welcome, this is clearly not the case. Very disappointed in the lack of basic customer service. read more

I never felt that Josephine was ever pushy about any of her services or products. She was very courteous. Some parts missed the mark, but she mentioned some extremely and personal things that were spot on. That scared me (in the good way). In addition to the review, she gave some reassurance and advice. I only had the basic $5 introductory reading, but it was very lengthy and well worth the money. All she wanted was money from my friends & I. She couldn't finish reading me because I apparently had a curse on me... My friend needed a cleansing... My other friend needed to meditate with her.... It was just not right... she basically just kept trying to shove deals down our throat, making it extremely uncomfortable for everyone when all we wanted was a cool, easy, fun experience. This review is late but necessary! Around September, I was in need of clarity on specific issues. My mother and I went to see Josephine for a reading. She gave my mother a half a deck reading for $40 and I paid $100 for a full life deck reading. Josephine presented herself as calm & understanding; she had a soothing voice. She acted as if she was really interested in my life. Throughout the reading, she repeatedly told me that witchcraft had been done to me and my mother. She said I needed to get rid of it immediately. Her demeanor slowly changed to a salesperson. She said in order to get rid of the witchcraft, I would need to bathe with bath salts, put on a special oil, meditate inside her copper pyramid and she would pray for me. This service would cost around $900. She became more frustrated when I kept denying that service. Because I said NO to the $900 service, she rushed the ending of my reading. She read my mother next and her reading turned out to be almost identical to mine. I noticed how she didn't shuffle the tarot cards enough because she seemed agitated. My mom's reading was completely 100% inaccurate. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with her service. She was incredibly pushy in selling an overpriced service and wouldn't take no for an answer. She is a liar and wanted money that's it. When i went to her she was very pushy with the amount of money she wanted from me. "The spirit says to ask you for this" I believe in the other side after death, I hardly believe spirits want to charge the living when they are not even get much profit from it (understand?) She went on about a bad spirit inside me and I need cleansing. Believe the reviews because I was hit with the same thing. She took a lot of money out of me, and continued to try to do so, when I explained to her my financial situation she continued to ask me to get the money from my family members. I'll never forget her asking me why I be a therapist. I replied saying "I do not believe it is ethical for me to charge somebody to speak about their problems" She made a face knowing what she is doing is wrong Literally charging people to not only speak about their problems but charges for helping others with their mental health and giving them lies (I hope she takes all these reviews and learns something from it) I believed her for some time, but the vibe about her was bad and nasty.
