We heard about an awesome fireworks store called, Big Gator Fireworks, in Drexel, Missouri. So…read moreyesterday we drove an hour to check it out. It was Great! The store was easy to find. They had great signage from the highway to easily guide you there. It was in a nice area and they had ample parking. We were greeted at the front door by a very friendly young man who made us feel immediately welcome. The showroom was brand-new yet the family has been in business there for many years! Their wonderfull air-conditioned store was clean and modern yet had a very cozy, family business feel! They had 3 different sizes of shopping carts, including little carts for the kiddos! We looked around, then asked a helpful employee about an item we were interested in. He took us over to one of their big TVs. He scanned our item and on the TV screen, he showed us what that item will look like. Very cool! We wandered around some more, amazed at the unique and fun stuff they had. My husband was very happy with their huge selection and picked several of the larger fireworks while I walked thru the fun novelty section-So many awesome things!! They had the biggest variety of cool & affordable fireworks that we had ever seen! Their prices were better than other stores and we live near Odessa where there are several full-time fireworks stores. I told them it was the BEST fireworks store we had ever been to! We got a GREAT DEAL and left quite happy! They had something for everyone and for all budgets. Check them out. You'll be very glad you did! :)

Since moving to KC in the mid 00's, we've been going to Crazy Joe's to scratch our annual fireworks itch! Yes, spending any money on fireworks is like "literally setting your money on fire," but I would submit that when given the opportunity to set off explosions and blow things up, and not only is it considered a non-jail-able offense, but rather "patriotic", then there's just about nothing more entertaining to do with your money! This is Black Cat domain, which happens to be my weapon(s) of choice! Great quality, reliability, and an impressive show are all trademarks of the brand. What really sets this apart from other explosive stops are the wonderful folks staffing the tent, the ample, graveled parking, the sheer size and selection of the stand, and, of course, competitive prices!

They help you celebrate all the other holidays as well. Need to celebrate your Arbor Day right? They sell golden showers, sparklers, any size of bottle rocket you could need, flaming chickens, Black Cats, M-80s, Angry Bees, blooming flowers, UFOs, mortar shells, etc. I came here with my brother, and we got an assortment of all the fireworks he could carry, many looking wildly dangerous, with some strangely named after Civil War battles. My brother is a huge firework pyromaniac, and it was like taking a kid to the candy store. He couldn't wait to start blowing things up. However, the local cops aren't cool with you shooting them off where ever, especially in dry season. They don't care if it's Arbor Day or not. The cops may have been right, and my brother may have possibly ended up starting a prairie grass fire, and may have burned down a couple of trees on Arbor Day. We ended up getting chased out of both Missouri and Kansas by the cops with all the fireworks we got here. That's not Pyro City's fault. At least we didn't get any tickets from the authorities for blowing up so much stuff, and nobody got hurt. Thanks Pyro City! You helped out these pyros. The service was friendly and they always were trying to upsell us on our purchases. Tell 'em what you like, and they'll show off the latest in pyrotechnical advances.
