The problem is not with the building, but with one particular unit. The building itself is very nice, clean, and in good condition. We would stay at The Pyramid again. We rented one unit that was lovely and another one that was in such poor condition, we could not take occupancy. This is unit 9F. It smelled of mold, it was grimy, and the furnishings were in a state of disrepair. The pictures on Long and Foster's website are misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the unit. Long and Foster should not be renting this unit until it is renovated, deep-cleaned, with provided with appropriate furnishings. read more

This place was nice until we stripped the bed we paid $150 for clean up service but was told by the owner to clean up the floor had mold the mattress was filthy and also the balcony door would not close because it was broke. We reached out to the owner and was told they been trying to get a new door so we felt unsafe he didn't offer us another room or our money back. read more

The location and the beach were the only positives about our stay. The condo property itself was extremely outdated, and the sliding glass door kept popping open, letting in a swarm of flies. While Long & Foster was great to work with, the same cannot be said for the security staff, particularly a staff member named Butch. There was an incident with music being played too loudly at 2 PM on our balcony and vulgar language. Instead of giving us a warning, Butch entered our condo unannounced and rudely demanded, "You want Butch, you got Butch. Pack your stuff and get out." He accused us of throwing things off the balcony (after further talking with the employees the cup didn't come from our balcony) and insulting the pool manager, which was completely untrue. He even demanded that my son and daughter leave, which is an unreasonable request to make to any parent during a vacation. On top of that, I was told that I was not supervising my 17 year old appropriately and he will never learn his lesson. I told them that of he disrespected someone he would apologize, Butch response is that it would be fake. I would definitely reprimand my child if he disrespected anyone and he was reprimanded by me! This review is not a matter of if my child was guilty or not guilty it was the disrespect given from the employees to myself. After some negotiation, we were allowed to stay, but I insisted on seeing the footage he claimed to have so I could talk with my child. Unsurprisingly, he didn't have any evidence and didn't realize that the noise was also coming from teens on 14H, two floors down. Butch openly admitted he was upset about having to come back to work to handle the situation, and it was clear he didn't care about hearing our side of the story. To make matters worse, two days later, Butch knocked on our door and entered our condo without hesitation, claiming there was a leak. There was no leak from our unit, and his manner of entry was completely inappropriate. This place seriously needs to get their employees to curb their power trips, and properly investigate situations before making assumptions. I would not recommend this place to anyone with teenage kids. read more

The Condo was old and very small. the refrigerator did not work. We calked multiple times and no one ever returned our calls. my husband and I were vacationing with 6 of our grandchildren, one of them an adult one teenager and 4 little ones, 7,6 and 3 year olds. On our second night there our 3 year old was throwing paper over the 3rd floor balcony, which we didn't know and the person in the condo below us reported him and "property manager" Butch, banged on our and told us we were being evicted. No warning. Just throwing us out. I had been sick and had taken Nyquil and so I couldn't even drive plus it was absurd to just throw us out at 8:00 at night with no where to go And 4 little kids. So I said we weren't leaving and Butch said we had 1 hour to get out Or he would call the police and have us all handcuffed and removed so I told him to do that. The police of course did not handcuff us or arrest us so we stayed until the next morning. We did find another place to stay however the lack of compassion and the ridiculous behavior that both Butch and his boss Pat exibated was appalling. So if you want to stay in a dump not knowing if you are safe there good luck. read more

Being on the beach is the best part of this place! We stayed in 11G and the shower is way outdated plus the toilet was not anchored down so you wobble while you go!! Looked like they don't deep clean when you leave so you pay all that money for nothing(trash under couches, dirt on walls)! The management team which is Vacasa really don't care about there place's because we called them four times and went down there to ask them to give us light in the kitchen, that none were working and seven days later when we leave still nothing!! I would definitely not recommend this place and try to find a place that Vacasa does not manage! read more

This is a cool place here in the north side of the city. The Pyramid has been here since I was a kid and our family used to come here when we got tired of the Jersey Shore. Our Condo was good, clean and as all rooms has a great view of the ocean. The facility is a showing its age just a bit and they don't rent to teens which is a plus, only families. All rentals go through the local Coldwell Banker on site. You can access all of the available rentals and their amenities at http://www.pyramidoceancityrentals.com/. We rented a 1 bedroom that had 2 Queen size beds for a Friday to Monday rental for $695.00. I thought that was a good value. What I didn't like were the add on fees. You have to either take the basic accident insurance for 45bux of put a deposit of $300 which could take up to 45 days to get back. If you can wait put the deposit, the accident insurance covers up to 3K in damage, but really should you be worried? Make some OC memories and rent a place here in OC. Unit 15F is a wonderful, very clean, well-kept unit. We've been staying here every summer vacation for some time now. It's a one bedroom (2 queen beds), 1.5 bath unit. There is also a pull-out queen sofabed in the living room. Free wifi, cable, across the street from an Acme grocery store & a Roses (discount department store). Plus, a 7-11 is right next door and it sells beer &wine! So, you can have a nice romantic evening with a bottle of wine on the balcony! Waking up to the sounds of the Ocean is wonderful! Perfect for a romantic getaway for two or a fun filled vacation for a small family. read more

We stayed in room 4E. Over all the room was clean. The bathroom did have mold (see pictures). There are so many rules for the pool. No drinks, no moving chairs, no food, no pool toys, and no water wings in the deep end. There is also no outside to eat at, so if your kids are like mine they will have to stand in what we called food jail. Food jail is just behind the white fence in the walk way (only place to go and still see my other kid). It's felt like every time we moved we were told no you can't do that. I wish they would have posted all the rules of the pool so we would have booked at a different place. Over all the staff is very unfriendly and seem to only want an older crowd. If you are looking for a family friendly place this is not it. read more

We stayed at the Pyramid over a decade ago - so take that with a grain of salt - but back then the Pyramid (which is a cool looking building) was shabby and not well kept. We had a 2 bedroom condo - which was great for our famiy of 4. The beach-front location was the main draw - and it's close to the boardwalk and kiddie rides and games. This is an OLD building - but the prices are low. Want luxury? Don't stay here. On a tight budget and have more than 1 kid? A better choice. read more

Warning: don't rent here. Unit 19F is absolutely filthy. Hair everywhere, crumbs on the couch, stained mattress cover, pillows so gross they look black instead of white, hair. Hair everywhere. Hair stuck to stains on the tables, hair on the floor. Hair on the countertops. Not to mention the decor is from the 80s and is dirty and worn as such. Three stars, with hesitation. The condo we rent is two bedrooms and pretty nice. We like the condo. The only down side is that the bathrooms do not vent to the outside. Further, the dryer in our condo vents INSIDE the building. That is weird and uncomfortable. The building is showing wear and tear over the years. Pool has too much damn chlorine - my eyes are still burning. Staff is moderately attentive at the pool, do not expect fun interaction. More like being tolerated. Security staff is friendly and does a fine job. Yes, building is older and gritty. The amenities across the street- super fresh and roses- are over priced and should also be avoided. Again, we stay in the same condo when we visit. No taking any chances with a new place. Kids love the closeness of the beach, pool is there to wash off salt from sea, and ice cream from Suns actions is also near. read more

An excerpt from the letter I wrote to the Regional VP of Coldwell Banker Vacations, who agreed that my stay was miserable and the place was disgusting, but only gave me a $200 discount for having to be "inconvenienced" when the weekly rent was almost $3k for this disgusting dump!! PS- If I could have given them a 0, I would have, but it was not an option. So unprofessional!! Dear____: I have been staying on the Eastern shore- from New Jersey to South Carolina-- for over 45 years in the summers during my family's summer vacation. We have stayed many times in Ocean City, which we love. I have used a variety of sources to obtain my rentals, from word of mouth to real estate management companies. The quality of the past rentals we had has varied some (mostly good to excellent), and what I have found over the years is that if you use a large, reputable company such as CBV (as opposed to other options) the quality of the unit is usually top-notch and worth the extra investment. This was the first time we had used CBV, by the way. I contacted CB Vacations in March or April of 2020 to plan our vacation in OC. This year, more than any other, I was extremely worried about cleanliness and sanitation, due to COVID! Unfortunately, the experience we had at the Pyramid, through CB Vacations, was a terrible disappointment. When we checked in to the unit and went to #10-E, I was frankly appalled at the state of the condo. It was so filthy, extremely dated, and run down-- burned out light bulbs; filthy flooring; nicked dirty walls; filthy, sticky, totally un-cleaned surfaces; terribly sad old appointments and decor; damaged blinds; sagging filthy couch; dirty bathrooms; etc, etc, so much so that I was afraid to take my shoes off inside the unit. Later, I did take my shoes off and walk on that disgusting floor, and was rewarded with blackened feet from the filth of the retched carpet and other flooring. I have pictures of the dirty environment and sad, old decor which I have attached here for your enlightenment. Is this a property that CBV, a national company, is proud to represent?? Upon arrival, we called housekeeping to raise a concern about multiple issues, to include non-working appliances and lack of Internet (we did not have Internet until Thursday evening during our Saturday to Saturday rental stay-- even though it was advertised as being available, which was a huge problem for me-- instead, we were told that the only way to have Internet at all so that I could work while I was there was if we "pirated" the Internet from the next door unit, and we were provided with the UN and PW for that unit, having to share the Internet account with the other unrelated guests, which was terribly unsafe for the work I was doing for my company. Because we were distanced from the router, the service was also spotty and somewhat unusable throughout the week!!). Although they sent a maintenance man to address the issues of non-working lights and other issues, nothing more was done about the Internet lack or the filthy environment- and of course it is impossible to deal with how dated and distasteful the unit was-- frankly, that condo needs a total gut job and renovation immediately in order to be livable! On Tuesday, I reached out in disgust to Bill R at the regional office about the condition of #10-E and my frustrations with the Internet, the filthy conditions and the old, ugly, dated unit; and he responded by sending a deep cleaning crew to clean the unit and the carpet, which I guess made it a bit better for the duration of the week. But I will not lie-- if it were not for my 16 year old daughter and her friend, who insisted on staying, I would have left and just gone home at the beginning of the week. To me, being forced to stay in that condo was more of a punishment than a vacation. It was awful. Long and short, I wanted to report to you about my experiences as a first time renter through CBV. But I am also reaching out to you to see about getting an adjustment to my rental costs. I would appreciate your feedback and thoughts about this. After looking at the pictures, is this representative of the state of the typical CBV vacation home for rent for almost $3,000/week?? Would you want your family to have to endure this retchedness? I am hopeful that the answer is no. I would attach the pictures to this YELP review, but some of you may have just eaten, so I'll hold off. Just a thought-- stay away from the Pyramid and stay away from CB Vacations. I actually wish I had checked the Yelp reviews for CBV because there is not one review that is really positive. Unit 17g is really really nice. Our normal unit was taken for the time that we wanted and the pictures were nice, but we all know how that goes ...everything was new... New kitchen, new bathroom even new beds ..which was really nice. I am going to book again for sure. read more

We have stayed in 8k a couple of times. Great little two bedroom that looks right out on the Ocean. Furnishings are new and it seems well cared for. Walking distance to restaurants and the on property pool is well maintained and clean. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! read more

Never rent here. Staff is rude, rooms Are dirty and covered with bugs. I wish I could go back and re book my vacation, I would have never stayed there. I strongly suggest against this condo. The plaza, Capri, or Golden Sands are all much better. I have stayed at all of them and this was by far the most disappointing. read more

We rented a 2-bedroom end unit at the Pyramid. The end units have both a front balcony and a side balcony off the guest bedroom. Unbelievably gorgeous ocean and bay views, and such easy access to the beach, a couple of steps! We never had any problems with the unit but, if we had, Coldwell Banker and the Pyramid Management office are both available on the 1st floor to help. Checking in with Coldwell Banker on the first floor was so quick and easy, too! Just a very pretty, relaxing stay with something to do for all ages - beautiful beach, classy boardwalk with rides and good food, and fun shopping up and down Coastal Highway. The bus stops in front of the Pyramid and is a great choice if you don't feel like driving and for $3 you can ride all day. Will be back - no question! read more

We arrived along with Hurricane Hermine. When we checked in we were told the storm shutters on the deck were closed and would be opened as soon as possible. I totally understood, however, we were sad to see the shutters weren't see thru so for a day and a half we had no ocean view. Again, no ones fault. We rented 10k, it was a 2 bedroom. All beds were extremely uncomfortable, the queen size bed had a major dip in the middle and you would literally fall into it. Every night someone slept on the couch. The air conditioning couldn't be set below 72 which you would think would be ok but the bedrooms never went below 78 degrees and were uncomfortable. The "lifeguards" at the pool spent more time texting on heir phone or with their eyes closed. Good thing parents paid attention to their kids at all times. Thankfully the hurricane only stuck around for 2 days and we had a great vacation. I'm just not sure we'll stay at the Pyramid again. The elevators need to be updated, there were a few times when we couldn't press the button to our floor so we had to get off either a floor above or below and walk (the exercise was good, unless we were bringing groceries, etc.) read more

Do Not Stay here. Not kid friendly. Condos are dirty. Staff is not friendly. It is not a relaxing vacation. Children are not allowed to play in pool. It is for swim only. We have stayed here for the last 4 summers. Always stay in the same condo on 17th floor. Great ocean front views of the beach, balconies are very private. Staff are friendly, pool is ocean front. Great view of the July 4th fireworks from the walkways. Convenient to supermarket, and restaurants, which can be walked to. 7-11 right next door. Nice to be able to just walk right out on to the beach at night. read more

So in spite of some negative reviews, I have to say that I rented anyway because I heard the pool was heated, right on the beach and across the street from ACME which is Safeway/Albertsons and also across the street from church. While the building is older, you can see that it is freshly painted and the elevators are brand new and super cool, updating you with events and near by happy hours. You really need to look at the pictures, some of the units are very old, the one I had on one of the higher floors had a BEAUTIFUL kitchen, bathrooms and floors. You can call and ask how old the pictures are and look on the ad... I picked one that said new ... so I knew the pictures where up to date. I would rent the higher floors ... it is a pyramid ...my floor had 5 other units and it quite ... just the sound of the ocean. The Balcony had a full enclosure that could be opened up most of the way if wanted to. I spent time watching my teens from there when at the pool or on the beach. Perfect being right on the beach. Rented at Plaza before ...way too much people there. This was just a perfect place and rental staff and security were very helpful and nice. Going to book again next year!!! read more

While writing this review I am actually in the Pyramid currently. @Karen You were here over a decade ago? Well I'm sure it has gotten better, considering you we're here in 2001. Anyway, the Pyramid is privately owned and is one of a kind. Currently they have a pool, they are next to the beach, and is pretty cheap. I mean I'm no Bill Gates. Also they are right next to a supermarket. And I actually think it is my favorite hotel in all of ocean city for the price it costs. read more

What a dump! We rented 11d which was quite costly because of the large veranda. Place needs major TLC and a good cleaning. Random hairs in the bathroom, old popcorn under the couch that was exposed when the recliner was opened, blinds busted with slats hanging out, hardest bed EVER, entertainment center held closed by rubber bands, the list goes on. I feel like the owner she really sink some money into the place so it's comfortable to stay in bc for the price this was just unacceptable, a real waste of money. Also it was very uncomfortable to stay here with the extremely hard bed and busted couch (recliners broken). The property itself is also run down and dirty looking and pool has way too much chlorine in it. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere. read more

I have yet to even get in the place yet but how I been treated I will never recommend this place to anyone. so drove 6 hrs an got in 2 hrs early I was well aware of this before I even arrived so I called 4 hrs ahead of my arrival an asked for early check in An I was told it was not a problem. I had a 3yr old and a 4 month old in the car mind you. So i get to the office An tell them I'm here An they say the room is not ready yet it should take long to clean i said ok and me an my family get lunch lunch took about an hour and a half so we go to leave and it's raining an we discover our after market roof carrier is leaking in to are vehicle poor design on the manufacturers part nothin I could control so we rush to the hotel an see if the room is read because we could not park in the 6'2 garage there because of the roof storage. Soonget in there after the amount of time they said my room would be ready an I ask them is it complete and they tell me they have not even touched it yet. then I proceed to tell them my situation I'm currently having An the older lady at the desk could give 2 s***s less An calls the cleaning crew an ask them when my room will be done the tell her another hour which ends up bein my original check in time all while I had a 4 month old crying. Walking through the place I'm not to optimistic that our room will be any better then the trash service we have received so far the company who owns this are prob scumbags like the places they are renting I wish I could of spent my money somewhere else the Give it to these people read more

Well, for one thing the Pyramid is not a hotel as the previous post says. We enjoyed this Condo very much - a lovely view of the ocean and beach and the condo we stayed in was pleasant and homey. Of course each rental unit is different, but all in all I would definitely stay here again. read more

We shall never return to the vacation spot at the Pyramid because of the way the security guard who was on duty early morning shift who was very obnoxious, rude, and contensing towards us - My spouse broke an arm and we decided to leave early in the morning to avoid heavy traffic - I went out the front door to my SUV parked out front and loaded up for the most park the night before - I came out the front door with a few items on a cart. When I woke up the guard he starting yelling me and insisted I had to go the long way around and load my vehicle from there - I told him my spouse broke her arm and that she was in a bad way due to pain - He stated I do not care and told me to load in the proper area - I starled this guard as he was sleeping on the job and not tourning the area as is his job assignement - When my wife and family came out the front door, he would not even hold the door for us until another family yelled at him to hold the door - I returned to return the keys to our suite in the box staff at rental office told us to put it in and he yelled at me to leave them on the desk - After I got my family in the car my wife wanted me to put the keys in the box when I returned I put them off the counter and put them in the box myself because we thought under the circumstances he could not be trusted to do the right thing - He was very angry and aggresive towards me because he felt I was not respecting his authority I suppose. I contacted the 21st Century office and they told me it was not right the way we were treated but told me I had to write a letter to the building committee because he was not their employee - I feel it is not my job to do this - We have decided not to return to the Pyramid in the future - We have been a customer for many years but after claming down my family has decided never to return their as long as this guard is the standard - All other gurads and staff were professional and polite - I have decided not to put it in writing to 21 Century as I feel it should be their job to report the situation - read more
