I am hesitant to post this review because I am currently working for a very well-known company through Pyramid. I don't want to jeopardize this job as it could be my foot in the door. But I have to say that I have both positive as well as negative things to report. First, I did not just deal with one consultant, it was many who had their hands in the pot, so to speak. And one hand did not know what the other hand was doing most of the time. I did have a couple consultants who were not of Indian descent, so that was interesting. At one point I felt very uncomfortable providing some very personal and private information via video chat. I even asked them why I had to provide it since I had NEVER had to provide the information for any other job I've applied for in the past. Another negative was that I received phone calls as early as 6:30 in the morning and as late as 8:00 at night. I consider that to be highly unprofessional. As far as e-mails go, I received so many emails from so many different people, I had to be very careful not to delete important ones. The major positive was that they did actually get me the position and I have been working for about a month now, so I can say that they did what they said they would do. Would I recommend Pyramid to others? Probably not. I would recommend going directly to the company or to another staffing agency with a better reputation. The negative reviews here speak for themselves. Be aware and read the reviews for yourself and make your decision. read more

I just received a call in regards to a position for Insurance Authorizations, TPA of the insurance Trillium. I am not sure if this is legit or not as of yet. So far I have contacted and returned calls and they have answered. I have tested on some of the requirements that they are looking for. They have advised that start date was mid January for this position. So far I have not had any bad experiences as what I have been reading, however I am in the beginning stage process at this time. No questions in reference to my SS at this time as well. I was advised that my profile will be forward to management for this role for a virtual interview. I will keep posted on the process. So far so good at least. read more

These guys are straight up clowns, pure and simple. They spam JD's which aren't even legal to people in an attempt to fill quotas. Lavanya Trigotra What's not to say about Lavanya Trigotra? I've yet to meet a Recruiter like her. I've never had such a blessed Temp Agency experience, as I've had with Pyramid Staffing, if it had not been for my Recruiter Lavanya. She is truly the best. She made me feel permanent. I was seen, felt, heard and valued because of the service she provided. We've all felt like we weren't heard before, but I know without a doubt during our conversations, she had been listening. I was empowered by her speaking life into me, after receiving an interesting Training experience at a well-known Call Center. We have all witnessed someone going above and beyond. Sometimes, someone going the extra mile isn't known or for that matter acknowledged. Lavanya, I see you. I am well aware that there was plenty of times she'd been working After-Hours, and I heard how tired you were but still kept going. Can I say inspired? Beyond. I believe jobs are Assignments from above, and it was a privilege Pyramid partnered Recruiters of such caliber. Thank you for bringing love & value Lavanya Trigotra! read more

These foreign-based companies, like Pyramid Consulting, only call to ask for your updated resume and to respond "I agree" in an email so they can represent you. Then they ghost you after getting your info and hyping you up. read more

They get in touch promising a job opening at a well known company and then proceed to harass you to extract your address, date of birth, SSN, and other personal details. The information about the possible job is vague, but they urgently want you to fill out various forms, answer interview questions, and turn over personal details that are unusual. I don't know if it's just harvesting of resumes and personal information to grow a database, or if it's full identity theft. Either way, you should avoid anyone associated with this company. They called and emailed me a dozen times from different numbers, including calling 5 times on a Friday evening. I had to block multiple numbers. read more

I was contacted by Krati Gupta via LinkedIn stating she had a role she thought would be a good fit for me and my past experience. The pay seemed high ($54/hour). I was a little skeptical but decided it didn't hurt to respond and see what happened. To say it was the weirdest and most unprofessional experience with a staffing agency would be an understatement. The typical experience I've had with staffing agencies is they reach out, ask to schedule a time to talk about your past experience, the role they are considering you for, and if it sounds like a good fit. With Pyramid, she asked for my resume, called unannounced, asked zero about my background, spoke so quickly I barely knew what she was saying, and emailed me the role saying to hurry up and say that I accepted it, and then hung up. She reformatted my resume to fit the role I was applying for. The day of the interview, I noticed there was a spelling error that was due to no fault of my own. I asked that this be corrected immediately. This is unprofessional for any profession, but being a copywriter/editor caused this error to really reflect poorly on me as a professional. I was told to send a thank you letter after so that they could forward it to the hiring manager of the company I interviewed with. They said this would help them get feedback from the process and fill me in on how I performed. I was completely ghosted once I completed my interview and sent them my thank you letter. I never got a response saying they received my thank you letter and sent it to the manager. I was never given feedback or even told if the role was filled. I tried connecting with Krati on LinkedIn in case other roles came up that could potentially be a good fit. She not only ignored the request but removed her picture from her profile. If you don't want to connect, that's fine. But removing your image just seems extremely shady and scammy. Even when she spoke with me on the phone, it sounded like she was calling from a huge call center. Again, I've never experienced this from any other staffing firm I've worked with in the past Pyramid completely wasted my time with their unprofessionalism. I have since been bombarded with emails from other "recruiters" at Pyramid offering jobs for $16/hour. This seems to be a scam and I would never trust working with Pyramid again. Save yourself the time and mental anguish and find a staffing agency that is professional, knows how to conduct themselves properly, and has your best interest in mind. Pyramid is only out for themselves and will treat you like a disposable object that only exists to pay their bills. read more

I was contacted by one of their recruiters through LinkedIn. They had a contract role at Meta. They kept having me redo my resume and then they made me do a one way interview. After not hearing for them for a week, I was finally told I was "shortlisted". I told them that was nice but I had an offer with another company. They talked me into an interview. I couldn't say no because it's Meta, and Meta is a big deal. I had the interview and it went well. I don't hear from them for days. They didn't answer emails. But I was then given an offer. I declined the other offer and accepted the one with Pyramid. During onboarding they kept calling me. They are so weird because they refuse to email. Endless calls with problems. My VPN meant they couldn't verify my passport. They needed my college diploma, they needed my high school transcript. Just endless issues I have never had with another company. Finally they called me and told me the offer had been rescinded. They said the hiring manager had decided they needed my college degree. I was so angry. I had never had this happen before. Well it turns out Meta is hiring for this role in house now. They're paying $94-112000 for the role. Pyramid was only paying $35/hr (no wonder they make you sign a contract where you agree not to discuss the pay rate with the client). Also Meta doesn't require a degree for the role. And then thanks to a Reddit user I found out that Pyramid does this; the scam is to show that Americans are unqualified so they can get HB1 visas for Indian immigrants. That's why the company is all Indian. It's an immigration scam. And now I'm worried because they have my social, my passport number, my DOB. Moral of the story, block them if they contact you. I'm not sure what Meta's role in all this is but I'm very disappointed. I tried to reach out to the managers I interviewed with but they don't check LinkedIn. read more

Pyramid Consulting is, without a doubt, the worst IT recruiting firm. I put my resume on IT job boards (because I'd like to find work). Not even a week later, multiple Pyramid Consulting recruiters are blowing up both my email and phone with ridiculous offers. For example: I have ZERO engineering background, education, or experience, but keep receiving spam offers for positions that required YEARS of engineering experience plus education. How is that even vaguely helpful or efficient? So, finally, one of the multiple recruiters (I've dumped/marked as spam emails and voicemails from at least four different recruiters at this point) spams me with a potential job that actually fits my qualifications and strengths. Why I didn't mark this as junk to get it out of my inbox is beyond me, as I should know better than to bother with any "recruiter" who's just spamming scatter shot in the hopes of...I don't even know what they're trying to accomplish, actually. We have multiple phone conversations, after I email my resume (because apparently, lurking on job boards to scrape their content does not include grabbing my resume, which is another example of terrible efficiency and a lack of organization), about this position. I also have to take a phone call from the recruiter's boss, for some reason, even though we didn't have any concerns or issues. Why do I have to stop what I'm doing to take yet another phone call when we JUST talked about everything that this boss is now going over with me again? Makes no sense to me. So I'm put in for consideration for the position. And I never hear back from the recruiter. I follow up. And I follow up again a couple of days later. Nothing. I don't know if the employer hired somebody else, had a question for me, or ever saw my details in the first place. Pyramid Consulting, Inc., is a complete waste of time. If you're thinking of putting your contact information anyplace where this firm or others can scrape it, I suggest using a secondary email address (that can get clogged up with Pyramid Consulting trash) as well as a phone number you can just send straight to voicemail (again, to collect Pyramid's trash - Google Voice is a good option and one that 's been very helpful to me for this). read more

The first time I got their email I researched it a little. The name of the recruiter was clearly Indian and I found India as one of their service locations. That raised a red flag because all of us have to be aware of Indian scammers already! I called the recruiter and asked him if he ever looked at my profile because the job position did not match at all to the position I was looking for. He flat out said he had no knowledge of my profile and just sent emails to random applicants. I marked their emails as spams but they found ways to keep offering irrelevant jobs even today. Be aware of Indian scammers! Never give out any information ever to them! Keep a distance of hundred miles if you want to be safe ( one of the reviewers said one recruiter asked for her SSN!). Pyramid Consulting - Employment Agencies Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

If I could give no stars, I would. The one I am giving is simply to post this. I have read other comments about "a large insurance company" and I suspect it's the same one I was pitched, interviewed and hired for. Long story short, I have 33 years of GRC experience, the engagement lasted 4 days before I called Pyramid and told them I was done. Done, not because of the client, but because: * Pyramid "could not" supply a full and complete job description as their contact was still "scoping it out" but they needed an immediate resource. The scaled-back job description I was provided was within my GRC skill set. * The job the client understood I was being placed for was for a floating Senior Project Manager. This is after I specifically told Pyramid that I do not take Project Manager work. I discovered this on day four of working there when I finally saw the job requisition and full job description - which the client confirmed Pyramid has been provided several times - and shared an email confirming that fact. * Pyramid assured me they were the clients "premiere" recruiter (confirmed with client as totally false) * Pyramid told me I started on Day X but when Day X came, I got a call from my Pyramid contact to tell me there would be (an unspecified) delay but she forgot to call me on Friday and tell me. Despite being ready and willing to work, they would not pay me for however many days the delay would be. * Pyramid said they could not supply a corporate laptop, due to a fictitious shortage, so they asked me if I would use my own equipment until they could get me one. Being in security I said no. The laptop arrived on Day 4 - right as I was yelling at my Pyramid contact, and her boss, telling them I was walking off this engagement because they consistently lied to me. * Without my consent, provided my personal email as my point of contact, which the client then distributed widely through their organization. Dozens of meeting invites and distro CC's starting arriving on Day 3. Later that day, I got a very terse email from the client telling me I was in violation of their security policy for using a personal email address as my POC. I could go on and on because this was the worst managed engagement I have ever seen in 33 years of continuous employment - 17 years of being a contract, for-hire resource. We now have (large insurance company) as a client. Oddly, the guy I would have been working for is my contact. The stories he tells about this organization are horrifying. Run, don't answer their emails, don't answer their calls, just block them when you see them. read more

This company reminds me of my ex girlfriend. Except instead of her calling to remind me how much energy and time I wasted caring at all for someone who cannot even care for themselves, I'm reminded that in a moment of desperation I shared my number with a recruiter who I didn't screen first. Do not make the same mistake and give them any way to contact you. Even when the rejection letters are pouring in, and only the bad memories of your past relationships seem real, remember that you have more value than Pyramid places on you in the way they do business. You are worth more than the low rate this company will pressure you to accept and you deserve better than to enable them to continue their manipulative business practices. You are worth more than the way your terrible ex treated you. Try to ignore how it sounds like the desperate employee on the other end of the line is relying on you to keep their family from starving. Just like it wouldn't be wise to send your ex a few bucks for a night out (even though you know she's just getting drunk with Brad because that's all they do), it's best not to make what's happening on the phone into your problem. I'm a sensitive person and I can fall for people pleasing at times, but talking to Pyramid once and having to block three different numbers to stop them from bothering me reminds me mostly of when we first broke up. I was so mad you made me have to leave you, Stephanie. I guess I was only angry because I felt threatened. It was kind of unfair for me to expect you to read my mind and do everything exactly right for me. It was partly my insecurity and not only your actions that made me feel like I didn't belong with you anymore. Maybe if I had been aware of that earlier, our breakup would have been more about two adults going separate ways, rather than one adult scream-crying "you were supposed to make me happy!" while the other one immediately started texting that piece of #%^* Brad. I hope Brad goes *#^%ing bald before the honeymoon is over and you have to sit there for years just looking at him- I would not recommend doing any business with this company. Terrible recruitment company. Big time communication breakdown as nobody truly can answer your English. Just like most recruitment agencies, it's all about submitting your profile for the sake of making a quota. I was hired onto a project this year and I was not told by the Pyramid recruiter or the manager of my position that I would be required to wear a facemask onsite all day indoors AND outdoors. I couldn't last more than two days then I had to leave the project because I would not comply with such a stupid mandate. Pyramid NEVER paid me for the two days I was there, and their excuse is because I wasn't able to submit my timesheet, which was their fault to begin with as they never set it up for my first day. They refuse to pay me for two days. They are what's wrong with the job industry, recruitment middle men are the worst. Businesses need to go back to doing their own hiring. I believe these guys are scammers. I have received numerous calls and emails from them. There actually was a position I was interested in and connected with a woman named Alisa. She had what seemed like the perfect job for me and she asked that I email an updated resume to her, which I did. She was going to call the next day, but I didn't hear from her so I call her. She said she was waiting on approval and would call me later. She did not call. I called her the next day, told her my name and she hung up on me. I've gotten several calls from these people, and every other review on here is spot-on. They also ask for information that is completely unnecessary to the job interview process... It's all public record anyway, but why make it easy for them? Date of birth, last 4 of SSN, and driver's license... That information only needs to be disclosed to the actual employer AFTER YOU ARE HIRED. The only thing they need to know beforehand is whether you are of legal age, and authorized to work in the US, and by what means. Folks, don't do it. It feels like a phishing scheme. Maybe it's not, but don't take your chances. read more

Their reps are not in contact with one another, and the right-hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing. My phone has been blowing up with texts, emails, and voicemails and I have gotten multiple requests on LinkedIn. TL;DR: Work with Gaurav Kaul, try to understand their business model, keep your expectations low. I hope the fact that this is my one and only Yelp review doesn't take too much credibility away from this. I can see that others have had some pretty negative experiences with this company and that needs to be seen and respected. To be honest it does seem like part of this company's business model is sheer volume; they place candidates, they get paid; they don't place, they don't get paid... etc. Maybe that's how things get sloppy. I can also see that there might be some problems with respect to candidate gender and diversity, I can't personally speak to that but that ought to be a concern. If they're spamming you, that's a red flag. And if they're asking for super sensitive information up front, that's quite obviously a poor business practice. So, for what it's worth, here's my experience. Pyramid reached out to me about an opportunity at a Fortune 50 (yes, 50) company, a very attractive opportunity at that, one that I believed strongly could put my career in hyperdrive. Long story short it did! I went through an interview process I found to be pretty vigorous and challenging, ended up being offered the position, I accepted it, and all in all it was great, great team, challenging work, and the people at Pyramid were really invested in my success. Ultimately I decided that the benefits of working as a contractor, even on a W2, didn't meet the needs of my family, but the experience I got through the position that Pyramid helped me land put me in a hugely advantageous position. I'm super, super thankful. Maybe I lucked out? My experience didn't square with most of the reports here, but I think the key was a combination of low expectations on my part, and that maybe I worked with some of the best people at Pyramid. It's just a theory. From the outside, their business culture seems really... uh, entrepreneurial? It seems like they enable individual recruiters/staff to do things how they see best, but maybe this results in huge variation in the experience one can have with them. For what it's worth, Gaurav Kaul was the recruiter I worked with and he was just the best, very professional and forthcoming. As to people commenting about people from India or Indian accents, come on, you gotta ditch that xenophobia. It's obviously a business run and owned by people from India and that ought not have a bearing on anything. Perhaps I don't have this bias because I've worked with people from India for many years. read more

Stay away at all costs. I once worked for a FinTech software company that had a partnership with Pyramid Consulting. Pyramid had roughly 2 dozen developers in India working within our teams. The developers accidentally committed code and artifacts to our repositories that belonged to other companies. In another case the files they committed revealed that Pyramid's developers were working on code for 4 different companies at once, copying and pasting between them all.
