I'd first come to Staffing Options three years ago searching for a new job after not finding…read moreanything using more "traditional" avenues (going online, submitting your résumé, re-entering the information you'd already uploaded into their system, choosing the job for which you want to apply, perhaps reiterating the steps you'd already done, and then waiting). While that time didn't result in anything, I'd come about a month ago again after they'd contacted me to see about possible position matches, whether as a contract employee of theirs on assignment or as a link to a direct hire with another employer. Being they don't keep your records beyond a year after the last activity you'd had with them, I had to start the entire process again from scratch. You come in at your scheduled time (though I'm sure they do walk-ins too) and begin your application packet. Their very friendly, accommodating, and capable staff can assist you with any questions you have. The entire process, including assessments for your knowledge, such as reception skills, ability to take messages, working with Excel and Word, and even proofreading, can take a while, but they're very thorough. You'll have to come with (or at least timely have available for your file) professional references for them to call up, what your last places of residence were for background checks, and even a copy of your university diploma (which they *will* verify). It sounds like a lot, but the advantages are great. In traditional application you have to compete with a bunch of people who all go to a Human Resources representative and not necessarily the person who'll make the ultimate decision on whether or not to hire you. This can mean you're quite capable of doing the job for which you're applying but are subject to HR's judgment on who the hiring person will review and interview. With Staffing Options, they're vetting you and presenting you as a qualified person to their partner companies, and they have the proof. With at least over a decade and a half of doing this (some of the people working with me had been there that long), they're reliable. Through the entire process of presenting you, going over your references and what they may need, Staffing Options are in constant communication with you to make sure everything flows smoothly. Going through Staffing Options, I've landed a job I really like and my co-workers really like me and feel excited to have me on board. I'm glad to have them in my corner, and that they're a valuable resource in the Atlanta job-seeking market.

I then had to complete an Excel test, typing test, and other tests to determine if I'm worthy to be considered for positions with their clients. After ALL of that, they never followed up with me to discuss any opportunities. What a waste of time and energy.
