This is a great spot to take the kids. The park has a great layout with some nice shady areas for the hot sunny days. There is a wide variety of animals to see and feed. The kids will love you for it!

I have been coming to Deer Park with my dad since I was a child I am now 35 years old with my own 3 children and now I'm continuing the tradition and I take my kids every year! My kids really enjoy being able to feed the animals and being up close to the animals. They love to feed the birds it's one of their favorite things to do and they love riding the train as do I! I would really like to see them bring a few more activities in and give it the feel like it had in the 80's-90's. I remember that you were able to feed Little Pigs and sheep and the goats with little baby bottles and that was just the funnest thing ever I don't really know why they took that away maybe health hazard reasons. Also the little shop that's located inside the park by the playground used to be so much better back in the day they had a giant unicorn the kids could sit on and take pictures then they had a bear that you could stand by and take pictures with now they don't have none of that there was a lot of other little things in there to that made it fun it just seems like all these places just keep getting less and less I don't know if it's the please people who complain or what but I wish that it could be spiced up again and not be just so plain If that makes sense. Still will continue the tradition take my kids there every year but it's definitely not as fun as it used to be. I hope that they can stay open in places like PETA don't end up closing them.

This place was so much fun. Everything was well cared for. I would come back in a moment. Strongly recommend.

They have these amazing slides and my very adult husband fully embraced his childish side and had to try them out. Was he waiting in line with small children for the experience? Yes. Did he go down one of the slides too fast and take a spill? Yes to that too! Did we still have a really fun time? Absolutely. It was pretty busy when we visited but once you start walking around you understand why. It's a great place to spend some time. There's an open green space and we saw lots of paths and trails that you could walk on. There's plenty of room for people to spread out and just enjoy their day. We didn't even know that the slide area would be there, but it definitely brought out our inner child and gave us a good laugh. This location is great for kids, families, couples or anyone that wants to enjoy a nice day outside and I definitely recommend trying the slides, but don't go down it like a water slide with your hands crossed in front of you or you'll pick up to much momentum and have a hard time stopping (or so I've heard lol) and make sure to hold on to the rail so you can slow yourself down at the bottom!

It is also the largest natural lake in Pennsylvania by surface area (925 Acres). All I know, it's a great place to visit. You can go swimming, boating, fishing, and more. There is a public beach, and some private ones. There is a nice park (Ice House Park (also on Yelp), and even an Amusement Park (Conneaut Lake Park) here. Lots of amenities nearby also ... Conneaut itself is kind of strange with the creepy abandoned looking amusement park, and the super haunted Conneaut hotel. We drove right through the amusement park and hotel until we reached a parking lot right on the lake. I think this is a public beach area right next to the tiki bar. I was impressed by how clean it was, and how beautiful the nearby lake houses were. The tiki bar was busy in the middle of the hot summer day. We walked right onto the dock for their boat! It was super easy and convenient. The lake itself is clean and pretty! We took the boat out to the sandbar at the flagpole in the middle of the water. It was only a few feet of water in some areas and kids and dogs could stand. The water felt amazing - 76 degrees! The bottom of the lake at this point is very sharp, so we had to wear water shoes. The lake is really beautiful and this is a great day trip from Pittsburgh.
