The Pye Baker was one of the first local spots I came across when I arrived in Norwich. It's a nice neighbourhood bakery in the along the end of Dereham Road closer to the city centre. They receive a fair amount of foot traffic--though there are one or two storefront parking spaces--and have both indoor and outdoor seating.
I've either popped in for a takeaway pastry (there is a good selection of freshly baked breads and cakes) or for a brief dine-in bite from their cafe menu. Most notably, this spot is one of the only places in town that I've been able to find a decent artisan sandwich, which is why I've sometimes gone out of my way to return! read more
