He's a great communicator and went above and beyond what was agreed upon removing more large branches that I overlooked requesting and also took time to chop fire wood pieces for me when I mention I could use some of the fallen tree for my fire pit. Also, I live in Jackson Heights Queens and am a real customer. I noticed another reviewer make accusations that the positive reviews are fake based on the reviewers' location. Well, this one is certainly real and often people move and their locations might change. Yelp can be a vicious place where people can get fixated on taking out their own unhappiness with life on hardworking small businesses. I would recommend Bernardo Landscaping in a heartbeat. Thank you again for the exceptional work, Bernardo!

My property is 90x110 and they gave me an excellent price for a cleanup. I asked when they could do it and they said right away. They cleaned up my property wonderfully. It hasn't looked this good in years. They spent a lot of time in my yard. Well worth the money that I signed a monthly Lawn maintenance contract the very next day. They have been doing an excellent job since mid April 2020. I've recommended them to my neighbors when they asked who does your yard. I am glad I found them. I highly recommend them.

I asked him if he can come sooner to cut the grass and he said yes. He came back, did the grass and then on Sunday he cut down 3 foot high weeds in my backyard, trimmed my bushes, and put mulch down for me. I was skeptical to go with this person because there were no reviews but once I met him, I could tell he was professional. I did have to use a translator a few times, but if he didn't understand, he definitely asked questions and was very understanding. I highly recommend this individual, and now we will be on a biweekly rotation for grass!

Not sure how the other reviewers reported good professional communication when I experienced the…read morepolar opposite. It takes a tremendously poor experience for me to write a 1-star review for a lawn care service of all things. I have attached screenshots of my text conversation with the owner as evidence. 1. On 6/25/25, 2 weeks after my first lawn service, they texted me to tell me they would service my lawn that day. At that time, my grass was still short and I did not need a service, so I asked if they could come the following week instead. THEY DID NOT RESPOND. 2. I followed up on 7/7/25 asking again if they could come that week. Again, NO RESPONSE. I checked in again on 7/8/25. Again, NO RESPONSE. I checked in again on Monday, 7/14/25. They finally responded, saying they will be able to come out sometime during the week. I thanked them but did not hear from them again. 3. Since they had told me they would be in the area that week and I hadn't heard from them, I gently texted them on Wednesday 7/16/25 to follow up. All I wanted was to arrange a date for them to come, which I think is perfectly reasonable as I did not want to miss my opportunity while they were in the area. Moreover, I had not heard from them since the beginning of the week. The owner then responded with an erratic, nonsensical tirade after DAYS OF RADIO SILENCE abruptly accusing of me not "staying in line with their schedule" and thus they could no longer do business with me in the future. It should be noted that they somehow expected me to know what their schedule is - how am I supposed to know when you're in the area if you don't TEXT ME BACK? Up to this point, I have been extremely communicative, flexible, responsive, and had not demanded they service me on any specific date. I did not require them to come on any specific date, and was open to them coming whenever they were available. All I wanted was for them to tell me a day and time when they could come out. After being the ones who failed to communicate properly with me for weeks, (as evidenced by the lack of response in the screenshots), my perfectly reasonable request to schedule a service was met with disrespect and confusion. Moreover, as much as I hate to dog on someone's literacy, his texts hardly made any sense or gave me insight to what his grievances were as a service provider.
