The oldest building in Fisk, this bar opened in the late 1920s as a perfect example of how little Prohibition mattered in the state of Missouri. The current owner, who was tending bar, has owned the place for about 55 years. My pictures don't do it justice but I love the woodwork in these old bars. Places like this are living history and I always enjoy finding them. Nothing fancy and nothing on tap, just ice cold domestic cans and bottles.

The patrons were friendly and welcoming to my GF & I (interracial couple in the rural SE Midwest). Beers were cheap and I'm sure it's even more fun at night with a bigger crowd (pre-pandemic, I wouldn't recommend a large crowd at this moment). Due to the location, masks weren't enforced although I preferred to wear mine when not taking a drink.

Bar rescue guy suggests: Clean up your menus... mine was dirty and almost left because of; paint up the raw plywood at your bar; put a sign up on street advertising breakfast; on a Sunday morning turn up the lights big time; stop the obnoxious music videos and put on Foxnews or local channel; and number one for crying out loud serve coffee--- it's a huge markup for you. If you don't serve enough to start just get a cheap $50 off brand Keurig machine and you can serve a cup at a time it cost you pennies per serving. You need help :) Accept the suggestions.
