At approximately 12:54 am on September 13,2026 I found a roach in my hotel room. I took a picture…read moreand immediately reported this to the front desk. I received no assistance from the hotel staff, was told there were no other rooms available and that I needed to speak with the General Manager the next day concerning the matter. I told the woman Vickie that I would be checking out since an immediate resolution was unavailable to me. I also asked for a refund for my room to be processed. She told me I needed to speak with Expedia about a refund and insisted that I speak with the General Manager the next day, and told me she'd be in at 9am. I visited the the property the next day around 10am. The person at the front desk identified herself as the "Floor Manager", gave me Kathy Hoffman's business card, and also told me there was nothing she could do and that the General Manager wouldn't be in until Wednesday but that I should email her and also send a copy of the picture I had taken! This infuriated me having to wait until Wednesday to have this issue resolved. I emailed the General Manager on Sunday, September 12, 2026 with my formal complaint of having found a cockroach in my hotel room along with the picture. Monday morning at approximately 9:53 am I received an email from the General Manger claiming she was investigating the issue BUT, the "flooring" in the picture I had taken was not the color or the pattern of any of the flooring in their hotel rooms. I kindly replied that the picture was NOT of any flooring but of the DESK I found the cockroach on. The General Manager then responded by insisting that the furniture and again "flooring" in the picture was not like any in their hotel rooms! I then emailed her screenshots of the metadata from the picture I took which had the time the picture was taken, along with the GPS location of where the picture was taken. I don't appreciate spending $276 for a hotel just to find a roach, bring it to the hotel's attention and THEN basically be accused of falsely claiming so! Kathy Hoffman (General Manager) never offered an apology for me finding a roach in the hotel room or even an apology for the inconvenience I had been caused. There was no accountability whatsoever, from any of the hotel staff! This was the worse customer service I have EVER received from not only the hotel staff but, the General Manager as well! The space we were in came equipped with the biggest flat screen monitor I have ever seen for presentation. Chairs very comfortable! We also had a breakout room that was just as accommodating. The training and performance programs are plentiful and are taught by incredibly qualified pros who are professional with all of the participants. Whether it's speed and agility training with Coach Simpson, hitting/fielding instruction with Coach Steve, or pitching lessons with Coach Dwayne or Coach Jaime, any athlete who comes to Slim's for one or more training sessions will leave that much better prepared to excel.

There are 4 large booth tables and plenty of other folding chairs and tables to relax by. They have a bathroom on board the ship with its very own window.
