Been here a few times in the last month and have to say the staff is a complete opposite of the Marble Falls location. Friendly and helpful! I stopped here to get a cold beer after riding from Belton on the motorcycle. It was like I was invisible I never got any service. Was it my leather vest with smart ass patches on it?? I played what was easily my best game of mini-golf here. My friends were blown out of the water. Some holes really rewarded precision and skill, very challenging course. I saw my buddies get bogeys left and right after level 6. After that I went for some bowling and killed that too. That was my highest game ever, almost 200 points! My friends didn't think it was that special, but I beg to differ. Great breakfast, great putt-putt, bowling, and you finish it off in the evening with a perfect rib-eye streak! Great place- needs a restaurant manager eventually but they are doing great things for such a small town. Bowling is fantastic- the fact that they have fans outside & are lined with Wine barrels. Very good breakfast- I had the loaded potatoes and a pancake- they make their own salsas and they were delicious with the potatoes. Their bacon was also extremely crispy and good- best bacon I've had in a long time. We were surprised how good the breakfast was here! read more

This place has really gone downhill since we last visited...the bowling area was fine, the restaurant was fine, but the arcade is horrible! First of all, I'd estimate that only about 60% of the machines were in working order. We counted 12 that weren't working at all! My niece played for over an hour on $60 that I put on her card and she collected at least 1,000 points, but when we checked the card at the end, the card apparently malfunctioned and they only gave her 305 points. She was very upset and the lady working there wasn't very nice about it when we complained. On the positive side, we went to Killeen to the Area 254 place and it was 100% better! read more

Let's get straight to it! To begin, we got the loaded fries and the fries were cooked so good. High recommend or any of the fried food!! I'm not into fried food but this place has the best I've ever taste. Then the ribeye was nice, tender, juicy cooked nice to medium rare. The onion rings were amazing, and the whole plate was so filling. LBP is up to you, I was full I didn't even get to eat it haha. The pizza was really good too. Putt Putt isn't being maintained at all, which is what we stopped by for. As other have noted, the astroturf is ripped in lumps, interfering with play. So - not until they fix it, don't bother with the putt putt golf. read more

Green on the golf course was torn up for starters. The bartender "Matix" under poured our drinks and you could not even taste the liquor. Then he had the audacity to ask us if we wanted a double. Additionally, he is wearing a bucket hat that is covering half his face and is not experienced or professional. I would not recommend this place. read more

I came here for my niece's birthday party. While it had lots to do and obviously aimed more at kids I was underwhelmed. The options of bowling, roller skating, and video games were nice but the games area left a lot to be desired. It was no Main Event or even Pinballz. For a more family friendly place this would win out. So for families with younger kids go here. The food was suprisingly good and the birthday went well. They had some nice features for young kids bowling, the normal bumbers but also this ramp like device that helped roll the ball onto the lane. As I had a far drive back home I did not drink much so no ruling on alcohol or cost. The one drink I had someone else bought. OverAll as there is not much else out there it is perfect for the area but for someone use to more variety this missed the mark, even though the food was good. read more

Their setup is nice how the arcade tickets are collected electronically, and we liked the prizes we won from them too they have a full toy store set up with all sorts of fun stuff you can trade your tickets for. The facility is fairly new! The parking lot threw me off a little, should have taken a picture to show exactly what I mean. We didn't get to experience putt putt this time around but our experience with bowling was quite enjoyable that we will be coming back! Rented a lane for an hour and was able to play a game and a half. At our last four minutes my daughters ball got stuck and it took them a bit to get it fixed, they offered to move us to another lane but we declined since it was just four minutes and wouldn't have been able to finish our second game entirely. They even have the trainers or whatever they're called for kids to help with the ball, my daughter loved it! That have a decent selection of arcade games as well! This place was decently fun and had potential. HOWEVER there was awful service. The employees were rude. And there were no signs to let us know where to go & pay. To pay for everything you need to go to the bowling counter however we were unaware and none of the employees would talk to us. When I went to go ask for skates the employee rolled his eyes at us and was eating ice cream while handing us shoes (which is disgusting). In all this place was fun and had potential to be a great. But the employees need to have better attitudes and there should be a better system in place as to how everything is run that makes more sense for first time customers. read more

I came by twice this week and both times I noticed several things. First off the prize counter where you pick out a price after spending $100 on games is totally out of stock and the lights were off both times. The first time I left instead of waiting and trying to get someone to help and instead took my daughters to Walmart to grab a prize. Second time I asked someone for help and the response was to use a machine to pick out garbage toys (the machine had a sign stating it sometimes doesn't work too well). I spent a good 15 minute trying to get it to dispense a toy. Bad customer service. Next, at least 1/3 of their games are out of order, or have not been restocked with toys. The owner should probably micromanage for a while so he can make sure his business isn't going to be ran into the ground. Upkeep is very important. The two stars are for the staff/bartender in the restaurant area, they where polite and gave great service. Food and drinks where good as well. I'm not from Lampasas but this place is pretty much the only entertainment around, hope it doesn't go under. read more

This is a great little place to take the family. They have a good amount of video games in their arcade area. I took my niece and nephew there and they had a blast. My niece went roller skating and she had a blast. The skate floor definitely wasn't the professional kind but we were able to skate perfectly fine. My nephew loved the video games and for approximately $1 a game it was worth buying the game card. The only bummer was we went there on Monday to go bowling, originally, and it turned out that they close bowling early to clean it and that closure wasn't posted anywhere on their website. But, overall, we had a great time and definitely will be back. read more

Putt putt golf next to a 12 lane bowling alley and arcade. If you're in the area and want something to do with the kids this is about it in Lampasas. Facility is clean, arcade games are not dated, look to be as modern as a Dave and Buster's ad. There is a full bar and pub type foods are offered as well. I can't comment on the food I didn't eat. However I can tell you, if you know what a good margarita is...order something else here. They should be ashamed of making those in Texas. Definitely not made to order, they are from a bottle or can. On to the bowling - over all it was a pretty good experience. All facilities were clean, automatic scoring worked well. I'm not a fan of "disco" type lights going shining everywhere, but okay. Pros: Automatic scoring, Clean, New facilities, separate tables for eating/drinking Cons: Could find a ball for my thumb, lots of parents drop off their kids, there are loads of unsupervised kids everywhere under the age of 12-13. Staff does not police these kids in the bowling lanes. MAJOR CON: Bowling etiquette - there is none. Multiple kids in the isle at the same time, no one knows anything, it's just ignorance. Kids next to us rolling two balls down at the same time. Myself and and the gentleman two lanes over talked to some of the kids, it helped a little. Suggestion: Instead of flashing bits of trivia and advertisements on the score monitors - put some bowling etiquette tips. Hand out cards where shoes are rented with "How to Bowl" tips, you know short and sweet - like WAIT FOR THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU TO FINISH before you start. If you're going for a concert...PLEASE READ! Everyone was nice...venue was good. But when we purchased the tickets for Steve Wariner tonight. The tickets said 6pm. We were expecting the opener to start at 7pm. Here's what happened... - 6pm doors open - The opening act won't start till 8-8:15 (Per the sound guy) - The main act won't start till 9:30-9:45 (Per the sound guy) 3+ hours. Would have been great to know when coming from Austin. Also, it is an outdoor venue...the top is covered...but it does get windy. Just hope someone learns from our mistake. Ended up heading home early. Will come back to bowl with the family sometime. read more

We came to Putters and Gutters for a concert. Really enjoyed the outdoor venue. Very roomy so you weren't packed in. The girls ordered food and said it was really good. My only advice would be bring your own chairs for a concert or you will wind up sitting in metal fold up chairs that aren't comfortable after a couple of hours. The only problem we ran into was they gave the girls a pager to notify them when their food order was ready... the pager never went off so after about 45 minutes of waiting for food, they went to ask and were told the pager they were given didn't work and their food has been sitting on the counter for about 15 minutes. This place is awesome! Nice 18-hole putt-putt course, great little bowling alley, an arcade, and a unique slucing activity for kids. You buy a bag of "dirt" and run it through an area to wash out the gemstones or fossils. Plus, there is a full restaurant/grill and bar. We drove from an hour away to try it out and are so glad! It's very reasonable, but it compares to the big-city similar venues. They're building batting cages and a skating rink! LOVE this place!!! read more

So this is an entertainment place first, I get that. Lampasas doesn't have a good "sit down" southern food place (Country Kitchen? If you like food poisoning). I just ordered a chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes & corn. The corn was the best thing. I had to add salt to it. Their sweet tea game is weak too. My husband said his buffalo wings were amazing tho. I've eaten here a few times & usually get the club sandwich which is actually really good. That's your extra star. I've been to this place twice and the second time it wasn't even open! I was trying to go bowling with some friends of mine and when I googled their hours it said it closed at 12 and on their door it said they closed at 11, but when we asked a nice young lady that worked there she said they closed at 10. Went in Monday night to watch the college football championship game. Had a great steak for a reasonable price. Also had good service and a very pleasant atmosphere. We had an overall horrible experience today. We bowled and wasn't asked how many games, just automatically assigned 1 hour. So we got to bowl 1 1/2 games. Not bowling for us. No staff was in bowling area and when I went to order food/drinks in bar, bartender wouldn't even look up at me to acknowledge I was standing there. Food was delivered wrong, we got pizza meant for a birthday party and birthday party had already been waiting 30 minutes for it. We weren't even sitting in the same area. Staff was confused and had difficulty figuring out how to fix the mix up. Headed to go skating and my grandson got locked in the bathroom. Apparently the inside door handle had fallen off. My grandson was in hysterics and I could hardly console him. The boy that worked there said he knew the knob was gone ??? Really and you did nothing?? Not even a cautionary sign !
