The rest rooms and showers are clean and easily accessible, however, the motion lights are only on for a couple of minutes, so you have to move around if you want the lights to stay on. Also, kinda weird, but one of the showers in the men's room is coin-operated, but not the other shower. Come to find out the coin thing doesn't work, but you wouldn't know that because there's no sign to say so. It was fine, though, because the other shower was working with no problems. The pool is EXCELLENT and well-maintained. You can see that the owner takes great care of the pool, and given that the weather was quite hot and humid, the pool was a godsend! On the minus side, the office was always locked when I went there. You can call the owner's number, but that gets to be a pain. They mention a camp store, but I suppose that's in the office, which, of course, was locked. I just went into Brandon to buy what I needed which is only three miles from the campground. The owner charges for each bag of trash which he says is one of his biggest expenses, but I don't know why he just doesn't simply bake in the cost of trash in his rate to camp there. The biggest pain was the dumping station. For whatever reason, the dumping station is roped off with posts in the way so I couldn't drive my camper close to dump my black and grey water. I didn't have a long enough hose to reach, so what I had to do is use my black/grey water portable tank to dump from the camper and then dump in the dumping station. This delayed our departure by a good 45 minutes to an hour. All in all, though, I would recommend Country View Campground.

They gave us our campground and we were on our way. When we got to the lot, it was much smaller than it looked on the website which was unfortunate because we were 6 people. We went back to the office and while they were fully booked, we ended up getting switched to a lot 3x the size as our original. We were SO happy with this. The grounds were kept so nicely, the bathrooms were incredibly clean, and there was a firewood/ice truck making rounds to keep the fire and party going smoothly. The lake view is absolutely gorgeous and the beach is kept very nicely. Overall great experience!

Absolute worst campground we have ever been to (and we do a TON of camping in state parks both in…read moreNY and out of state and private campgrounds as well). When we arrived our site was covered in trash and the picnic table was in the site next to ours with old propane tanks sitting on them. Beer bottle caps and cigarette ends were EVERYWHERE on our site, crushed cans and bottles scattered around, tons of garbage throughout the site (plastic spoons, cardboard pieces, plastic wrappers, a huge metal pipe, etc.) We spent the first half hour there cleaning up all the trash on our site and we didn't even get it all. All of the sites next to us had just as much trash in them as well and were never cleaned up the duration of our stay either. When walking around we noticed tons of other sites with garbage left in them too. I don't think any of the sites are checked after checkout and if they are they are definitely not cleaned up at all after check out. We stayed on the 'other side of the road' and the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and falling apart. They were never cleaned at all during our stay (although we seen workers sitting in the golf cart goofing around and talking several times instead of actually cleaning the bathrooms). The only thing the workers did was add toilet paper (and not even enough because there were several times we went and there was no toilet paper). We were there 5 nights and the trash can wasn't emptied once and none of the garbage or toilet paper on the floor was ever picked up. There was also poop smeared across the wall and door in the one stall and poop all over one of the other toilets that was like that our whole stay as well. Mirror was literally tapped together with black tape, there was only one faucet handle and locks on the stall were broken. We had to go across the street into the other side of the campground to shower and the showers were absolutely disgusting. Black mold covered the shower curtains, was all in the lights and on the lower and higher sections of walls and it smelled like mildew. It was gross and cannot possibly be safe. This is definitely a party campground and no quiet hours are enforced. People were up partying, drinking and blasting music literally all night. It's such a shame because the location of this campground is amazing and it has the potential to be a great campground but we will never go back. We have never been to any campground this dirty, unkempt and with workers who literally just don't care or do their jobs. Such a disappointment. Wish I had seen all the other bad reviews before going.

I rented a small cabin. No bathroom in it. There is running water (potable) next to the cabin, in…read morethe trees, though. So I could brush my teeth there and do my dishes there and fill my water bottle there. The bathroom is a bathroom house. 2 showers and 4-5 toilets, 2-3 sinks. (I am forgetting how many now.) The lake is beautiful! The sunsets over the lake are beautiful! You can rent a boat and go out on the lake. Lots and lots of folks here with their RVs. Lots of cabins for renting. I didn't see any tents being used on the tent camping grounds while I was there. The little store was stocked with so many wonderful things - tourism trinkets, practical things for camping. I bought myself a flashlight because I forgot to bring one on my trip. It was corroded (everything around here is so humid), and they replaced it with a new one that works the next day. They also have ice cream in the store. I need ice cream. It's one of my basic needs. There is also firewood. One of the rules of the campground is that if you bring your own wood to your site, it needs to be from Vermont or you can't burn it. My dogs loved this campground too. I am so glad to have found a good place to stay with my dogs while traveling. I loved all the trees at the campground. It was really nice to be there. Also, my cabin didn't have bedding. I had to use my own sleeping bag and fold a bunch of clothes to be my pillow. I hadn't expected that. One negative : I don't think they clean the cabins in between guests. My floor was dirty. And by dirty, I mean: it had caked on dirt. It's become basically a dirt floor. So dirty. It's camping, so there's that. I have never encountered such a dirty floor at a KOA though, before. I was pretty surprised. My dog threw up the last morning i was there, and I had my Clorox wipes with me, so I cleaned it up. The part where I cleaned up his dog throw up - that part of the floor is now clean. What a contrast to the rest of the dirt floor. I wish they had the new KOA feature - where you can rent a dog pen to be outside your cabin. That would have been so handy for me. I had to get their harnesses and leashes on a LOT and it would have been nice to sit out on the front porch without having to hold my dogs on their leashes. I bought some weird plastid rope at the camp store, and that helped a little. It would have been nicer to have a pen, though.

We couldn't sit outside without something over us because there was so many caterpillars! They were pooping all over everything! It was absolutely disgusting. We had to be careful not to carry any of them home because they could infest our area. We asked if they ever sprayed but they said no and that was it. The pool is pretty small, when it was really busy, kids were jumping on each other. The splash pad isn't turned on during the week either. As for swimming in the lake...you can't because it's the pond area so you have to go to the state park to swim. We did have a nice time considering! We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, swimming, some mini golfing and biking!
