Do not join this gym. It is a scam. I joined another Anytime Fitness location and visited this…read morelocation on occasion. The East Nashville Anytime Fitness took it upon themselves to transfer my membership from my "home" gym to their location. They sent me a "friendly" email "welcoming me" to their gym even though I did not ask or consent to the transfer. They then charged me $59.99 without authorization for the transfer plus some "enhancement fee." Since I did not authorize the transfer, I asked them to cancel my membership and reverse the charge. They were non responsive and I was forced to reverse the charge with my CC company. Instead of accepting that I declined the transfer (which is my right pursuant to the contract), they referred it to a debt collection agency. This is not right. Save your money and go somewhere else that isn't sleazy. p.s. Their gym smells like feet.

I love the small feel of the gym, but it's not too crowded either which is awesome. So far no creepy people which is so appreciated lol. This gym has a wide array of cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes), strength/free weights (squat racks, plates loads, dumbbells), and even functional training elements (kettlebells, trx bands, and battle ropes). I believe they offer small group classes and personal training sessions as well, although I haven't taken advantage of those amenities. My only gripe so far is that they need a few more sets of the dumbbells (5's-15's) and a rack of straight barbells next to the EZ curled barbell rack.

Climb west Nashville is a massive step up in layout space and design. And Murfreesboro location is by far the best Stairs located in the middle "hangout area" very overcrowded, mats only 6 or so feet from the walls, which puts everyone watching on the edges of the mats and center of the gym with no room to walk anywhere. Holds are the worst I've experienced in gym climbing, many of the holds are loose, and it seems like there are way too many routes set to perhaps make up for the fact that there isn't a lot of wall to work with, but the route setters must be high, arrows pointing in wrong directions with no clear start holds identified on most v2-v5 routes. Lastly the largest section of the climbing area is the cave, which nobody seems to use or at least is under utilized, just go to Murfreesboro or West. Seems like they need a max capacity or a website to book times on to free up some space, also they need to have some route setters from a different location to come to the rescue. Overall super friendly climbers and staff!

Apparently you have to go online to do it but that was not communicated as it should've been. There was then months of accruing charges after that. Fast forward a few months and it became a whole annoying to do contacting people all the way up to the GM to get my account back in good order so I could climb again.

I always thought that training BJJ would be intimidating or impossible to start. I'm happy to report that I was wrong! The instructors/teammates at Legion create an awesome learning environment. Professor Sean is an excellent instructor and a world champion. I think one of the best things is that they have something to offer for every different type of attendee. I joined to test myself and to get in shape. There are others who aspire to be at the highest levels of competition. There are others who are aspiring/ or current professional MMA fighters. There are people of all backgrounds and skill levels. The cool thing is that we all end up working together and learning from each other. Being in the presence of dedicated BJJ and MMA professionals is very inspiring. The discipline required for learning BJJ is something I've been able to apply to my personal and professional life. If you're reading this review and you are curious about signing up, there's nothing stopping you! If I can do it (haven't done any serious athletics since high school and now I'm over 30) you can too!
