She was able to coordinate with our other vendors to keep everyone on the same page. Here are our top three reasons why we loved and appreciate Unique Chic's services: 1. The communication: Betty was always available to speak with us. Of course we were a nervous wreck and called/emailed quite often. Not once did we feel like we were pushed away or put on the back burner. After each call or email we were at ease because all of our questions were answered. In addition, the response time was impressive and that we did not have to wait for more than a day to hear back from Betty. If she wasn't available at that moment, the other staff members were able to answer our questions right away and pick up right where we left off. 2. Betty's expertise and suggestions: The advice she had given us was priceless. She was always willing to work with us and our budget. She helped with our decoration idea and was not afraid to let us know there were better options to capture our vision. In no way did she pressure us out of our comfort zone and press us to rent or add on more of their services. 3. Their services: in addition to the day of coordination service we also rented some of their decorations and supplies. UniqueChic is the full package service all in one location. Teissia far exceeded our expectations leading up to the big day. She was more than happy to meet with us on several occasions to go over the details, to do a walk-thru at the site, and to meet with our caterer. She was always a phone call away, and ready with a knowledgeable answer. She also has a good number of references for those services we had trouble finding...like her recommended hair stylist, Marin...who was truly incredible to work with AND fit within our modest budget! Most importantly, she knew what she was doing when it came to the actual event. We are so blessed to have had her ready and willing to do so many of the little things we forgot like write out our chalkboard menu, handle flower petals in the fountain, hunt down our late lightning people, etc...and often without us even asking her. She was probably responsible for countless other things that we don't even know about. Her experience in running big events shined through most when our bar people wouldn't open up when we needed them on our hot wedding day. We later found out (from our parents) how she put her foot down and told them to open up or she would call their boss to make them (or something along those lines). In any case, it was because of Teissia that they opened up that moment! Plus, when we had a last minute important "surprise" guest that flew in on the day of the wedding (which could have resulted in seating arrangement chaos), all we had to do was talk to Teissia and she handled it like a veteran. She coordinated with the vendors, changed the number of chairs at the different tables, and basically made it all happen. She's a coordinator that knows how to get things done. Teissia combines the friendship, calmness, and knowledge you need during the stress-filled planning and preparation period, and the focus, composure, and feistiness (see bar story above) to make the event happen. She worked insanely well with our venue coordinator, which smoothed over so many details we didn't even need to be there for. 3) Mom energy. Jessica made sure my husband and I had everything we needed and more during the events - food, water, rest, shade, phones, you name it. She was super patient and respectful with accommodating our parents' requests, too. 4) Management capability. We had a big fat South Asian wedding consisting of 4 events over 2 days with a thousand moving parts. Jessica coordinated all the vendor contracts and on-site set up. She and her husband themselves were present for the duration of all events, which made all the difference. This is the person you want when something goes wrong. From having an emergency photographer on speed dial to adjusting the timeline on the spot, Jessica kept things in motion. She brought our visions to life, whether it was through decor mockups, adding sticker decals to our welcome mirror, or negotiating quotes and extra setup time & venue space. My most favorite memory is Jessica texting me photos and videos of the Baraat celebration, which the bride is not part of.
