They're organized roughly by category, such as children's books, old miniature toys, vintage Christmas, fishing rods, old textiles such as coverlets, flint arrow heads/artefacts, etc. The furniture I spotted had seen some time but was unique enough that it would still find its place in a home. I drooled over a bookshelf that had mirrors and carvings. The most unique thing my husband spotted was a dismantled crossbow kit! One my go-tos in an antique store is jewelry, and I almost instantly found an elegant but glamorous pair of enamel and silver earrings. The person working the counter asked what I collected and I earnestly said earrings. The couple of things I picked up were cheaper than I expected but will be of high value to me. I think this is a good stop if you like antique stores.

Moreover, they had some very interesting Oriental art on their walls. The people I dealt with here were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. They even offered to carry the box of books I bought out to my car for me. It is great having a place like this open in Elbridge. Anyone interested in vintage items, or a collector of odds and ends, will have an outstanding time in this little curiosity shop.

This has a vendor style set up, and seems to change around. It is winter, and I will say the place is freezing, but it gave home to a little room up and to the side that had a friendly man who really turned his space into a little oasis. It was shut off from the rest, had space heaters and was well curated with items. It was a really fun place to find. Recently they seemed to have turned the front into a redemption center for recycling. I am all about recycling but it did smell really terrible. It was also cold enough we didn't get to explore all of the floors. In the waaaaay back there is a door labeled with a sign that says "unheated! Close door behind you!" This vendor space had some really gorgeous antiques in it, with a few lights I am still thinking about. My advice is to go, dress warm if its cold outside, and prepare for a little adventure as there are twists and turns and places to find everywhere. Not all the stairs are connected too, so if you find a place with stairs, go up them!

Our family lost our house to a fire, so we are "frequent fliers." Most of the furniture that we now have was purchased at Mimi's. The pieces we bought all have some small story behind them which we enjoy. Mimi's has been a godsend for us. Mimi's is conveniently located in downtown Ithaca, the staff is friendly & helpful, prices are reasonable and there's always something fun and funky to marvel at even if you don't take it home with you. There are a few prime meter-free spots, but bring some change with you in case you need to park on the street. The staff has tape measures handy, but if you're looking to fill a space at home remember to give it a quick measure to ease your shopping. Mimi's, at times, can be jam-packed full of good things and navigation can be tricky if you have mobility issues. Well worth checking out again and again in person and online!

You can wander, explore, and keep finding new things around every corner, it's the kind of shop you never get bored in. And somehow, you can even grab something to eat while you're there, which just makes it even better. What really sets them apart though is what they do for the pet community. Their Rescue Round Up events are amazing and show how much they genuinely care about animals and the people who love them. It's more than just a shop, it's an experience and a community space. They have added a lunch spot and a sweet shop. We walked around a bit and then took a break for lunch. They had several lunch specials for very good deals! We shared a BLT sandwich with fries and a coffee. The sandwich was very good and the fries were crispy with a coating and very good also. The coffee was weak (I like stronger coffee) and no half and half . Regardless a very good deal at 13.99. The sweet shop was so cute with 1950's soda shop vibe. We both chose the apple pie with ice cream. I'm a pie snob and the crust was good but the filling was canned. It was decent but not outstanding. Next time I would get a hot fudge sundae because the ice cream is homemade. They carried the water I like (liquid death) at a good price and I was so surprised they had it. I didn't buy any antiques but I had fun looking and enjoyed my eats. I definitely would recommend going and looking around.

I've also been able to get some good steals for my family. As well as the antiques, the pottery and other merchandise is wonderful. The staff seems very nice, and the dog is very cute, although shy:)
