This is a super cute consignment store located inside little tiny University College shopping center where Strong Hearts On The Hill is. They have some cute stuff Barbie likes and they're a little on the pricey side as you would imagine, but you can definitely find some gems if you come in here. It's especially good for hipsters and there's plenty of those at Syracuse so if it's that crowd you're in or want to look like, this is your spot. read more

A nice thrift store in the area which also carries some thrifted home decor. The quality of their picks are pretty good and prices are reasonable. If you're a big SU sports fan, they have a HUGE section dedicated just to SU-related clothes. So consider checking this place out first before you head to the other SU themed stores. read more

I like this store BUT I would like for all of these companies to STOP asking for your phone number, name etc. they claim after you spend a certain amount you will get coupons or points etc. i haven't got a coupon or anything. I just wish all stores stop asking for your information. it was better when they gave 50% every quarter. read more

For the past several years, 3fifteen, the SUcentric boutique charity shop run by the Rescue Mission (separate from the usual Thrifty Shopper) had Halloween costumes either for myself or for others I could donate after or to a place out of town. This year, they seem to be late getting anything except a few small items. Their competitors Goodwill and Salvation Army are more prepared than 3fifteen (we don't have Savers, Amvets or Volunteers of America yet in my area), even if it's mostly for the kids. When I was one, we had Switzs and Doughertys. Many students and townies alike can't afford to buy new costumes online or at the big box in this economy, and are too old for handouts. There must be some stockpile at the depot in Liverpool of donations from last year, and it's not like the supply chain if not labor shortage is an issue here. I can't stop by every week only to find nothing new. I'd rather go to the pop up chain or their sister store after a false start at the a word than waste any more time. I tried writing to the Rescue Mission directly, but I haven't heard back. They just closed their outlet store around the corner from home, which was no better. These places seem more like a dumping ground for junk not bad enough to be binned yet rather than a place to be generous or even for tax purposes. Charity begins at home, and I could sure use some there. As for 3.15, until they can confirm online that they haven't lost the Halloween spirit, maybe I'll just try Spirit of Halloween or even Party City (no Halloween Express in these parts either). read more

Awesome finds. Everything is in like new condition here. However, the staff didn't seem concerned with the customer. I stood at the end of the counter by the register while two other employees stood at the other end fawning over some necklaces that had just come in. I don't know exactly how long I waited, but I do remember thinking that I didn't need the curtains bad enough to keep waiting. Another note- they have a great selection of clothing for men and women, but only carry SU gear for children. read more

It's always so dark!!...you can't see what you're looking at, and that is SO annoying. But there is a pretty good selection of things and the prices cannot be beat. Jeans and pants, especially, but also winter attire. I always find really great cute coats. You will find brands here as well as WallyWorld stock. Jewelry is... meh, but clothes are usually in great condition, and the furniture is always near new. No crap. Sadly, they no longer deliver heavier pieces of furniture. Definitely worth a visit. The best part, I have to say, is having Kubal share the space. A pour-over and an all afternoon browse listening to one of Kubal's awesome playlists is one of my Sunday favorites. read more

Yesterday afternoon I bought a watch from the store and, since I had to rush to my class, didn't try it on in the store appropriately. I tried it on later and did not like it. Today I went to the store just to ask if there are any possibilities to return it or exchange it. A lady at the register (Karen or Carol) was very rude saying that I probably replaced the watch and brought them another one. It was very humiliating; there were other people in the store and I felt embarrassed in front of them. The lady even didn't apologize. I am a foreign student at Syracuse University and, she probably realized it from my accent and thought any kinds of treatment work for me. So, if you speak English with an accent just don't go there. read more
