Purple Light Vacations was recommended to us by Brand g Vacations, when we were planning our first trip with them - a river cruise on the Seine. Jonathan responded to my email inquiry immediately, and I was speaking with him by phone within two hours. We were pleased that he had extensive experience booking clients on Brand g tours, and was very familiar with hotels and tours in Paris. Within a day he had us booked on the Brand g tour and found flights that included a discount on our hotel stay in Paris after the tour. He also help select and book day tours in and around Paris. On the morning we were to fly out of Palm Springs and connect to Paris, we found that our first flight was six hours late! The result was that we would miss our connecting flight to Paris. I contacted Jonathan early in the morning and he coordinated with the airline to rebook on flights that still got us to Paris the same day and only six hours later than we originally planned. His help saved our trip and we still made our boat cruise departure on time. Throughout the planning and during our trip, Jonathan was always available by text or email. He consistently sent us reminders and updates about our tours and flights. With his help our trip was a great success, and it eliminated a lot of stress and work on our part. We definitely intend to us him again to plan future trips. read more

We just traveled to Ireland for our first time. Jonathan at Purple Light Vacations planned our trip for us. It was beyond amazing! We had 5 adults, Jonathan planned a driver for each destination we were traveling to. It made our trip a "no stress" vacation. Each driver was highly qualified, punctual, and very polite. Jonathan also suggested and booked all our hotels which were absolutely fabulous! He also booked some of the attractions we went to, we never had to stand in a line for tickets!! Thank you to Jonathan and Purple light for making our vacation so amazing and so relaxing!!! If you want a stress free amazing vacation, have Purple light book it for you!!!! We worked with Jonathan for our first trip to Paris/London and couldn't be happier that we worked with Purple Light Vacations for our travel. Jonathan is very knowledgeable and made great recommendations for centralized and nice hotels (especially St. Martins Lane in London), light touch touristy options (wine/cheese in Paris, Louvre), LGBT neighborhood spots (the destination insider guides were great!), and a new favorite Michelin restaurant (Hide in London). Jonathan was very responsive in booking everything, did quick check-ins during the visit, and we highly recommend Purple Light Vacations for your next trip! Thank you Jonathan! read more

We picked Jonathan from Purple Light Vacations for our trip to Europe after reading numerous on-line reviews describing his commitment to ensuring successful trip plans and especially his quick response/help to their real-time trip issues. We also liked his pricing after contacting others who charged more and didn't have similar reviews. We traveled to five cities across Portugal and Spain and took planes, trains and drove rental cars in the process. We were happily surprised that our trip went really well; better than expected ! IMO, Jonathan's knowledge and fine tuning across our trip made the difference. His guidance on * Which cities to focus time on, proved to be correct and was completely different than I initially thought after doing the trip research myself. * Hotels (centrally located, near Metro, with breakfast, even at a higher cost) was very stabilizing and key to our daily transits. * Which flights and trains to take took a lot of planning anxiety away and proved very helpful - for us to relax/sleep (which companies and seating) * Tours was surprisingly helpful, as we had pre-planned excursions in each city. This really lowered our anxiety each day and we learned a lot about each city. The biggest surprise was that he actually refunded some of our initial down payment back to us, because, as he initially told us, he makes money helping us book locations, travel and tours. I highly recommend Jonathan/Purple Light if you are willing to work with him (let him book stuff) and follow his guidance. He was a great asset for our trip ! read more

I am so glad that my friend and I found Purple Light Vacations for our travel agency to assist with our vacation to Italy. We both had such busy schedules and we were overwhelmed trying to plan our tours, transportation, hotel bookings, etc. We were able to meet with Jonathan in person, which I preferred, and he really took copious notes of what we were looking for on our trip and provided us with great options based on what we communicated to him. It really relieved a lot of stress for us. He provided great recommendations as far as destinations and what seemed to be the most liked. He recommended a great winery in Tuscany called Castel Monastero, and I wish we would have spent more time there because we loved it so much. Everything went smoothly on the trip, and we had a great time. Jonathan went out of his way to check in with us throughout the trip to make sure everything was going well. You can tell he really cares. I definitely recommend using Purple Light Vacations for your travel plans. I will be putting the word out, and I look forward to utilizing Purple Light Vacations in the future. read more

We had a wonderful vacation to Italy and Purple Light made it easy and a joy to get everything booked. Highly recommend!

Jonathan provided clear and reasonable options for our family vacation. Our 10 year old and 6 year old had a blast with all of the excursions booked. The hotel was located in a central part of Bermuda with ample options for dining and transportation including the ferry. We are looking forward to working with Purple Light vacations in the near future. read more

Working with Jonathan at Purple Light Vacations was my first time using a travel agency. Jonathan helped us from beginning to end: choosing between locations to visit, researching and booking hotels/transfers/excursions, and even recommending things we can do in the city we were visiting on our own. He gave us choices after listening closely to what we wanted out of our trip and the choices he provided spanned price ranges so that we could make the best choice for us. He was never pushy. I was especially impressed when we were on vacation (9 hours time difference) and he was still as responsive as ever with things that came up. This is not a full service organization (for example I booked my own flights) but it was the right level of service for us. I highly recommend Purple Light and will be coming back for Jonathan's help for future trips. read more

I am 29 years old and no one I know my age has ever used a travel agent. Travel agents are things of the past and why would I use one when I could do everything myself on the internet? This is what I thought before working with Purple Light Vacations, and now I want to shout from the rooftops how incredibly helpful travel agents are, especially Jonathan from Purple Light Vacations. I am a meticulous planner, but found myself overwhelmed when trying to plan a trip across the world to India and Thailand. I reached out to Jonathan and the rest is history and I have told all of my friends that they must contact him for their next trip. How do travel agents make money? Do I have to pay for this service? I am not rich and can't afford to stay at luxury resorts, would they still want to help me? Do you ever see them in person? What if I have lots of questions, is that okay? These are all the questions I had going in to the experience and Jonathan patiently answered all of them both over the phone and ever so kindly in person, where he treated me to a glass of wine. We had never been to this part of the world, a lot of money would be spent, and this trip was a huge deal to us. I wanted to be sure I could trust the person that was going to help us make it happen, the person I was going to give my credit card number too. It didn't matter that I wasn't the richest client or that I had a million questions, Jonathan helped me every step of the way. Our trip started out in New Delhi, India and from there we went to Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand. From booking hotels to finding unique tours and unforgettable experiences, Joanthan was there for us every step of the way. He booked beautiful hotels, delicious food tours, enchanting elephant sanctuaries, and personalized private city tours. He constantly found better rates than I did and was able to recommend accommodations and transportation that would make our overall trip run seamlessly. There was a person with my name on a sign at every airport waiting to take us to our next hotel. This took all the stress out of trying to navigate a new country. He answers emails in a blink of an eye and even responded on Thanksgiving day when we were having issues getting a hold of a tour company while abroad. I was feeling nervous about all the small details of our trip and Jonathan created a detailed contact sheet for every hotel, tour company, and transportation provider for me before I left. One of the trips we took was for 26 people to the Taj Mahal, and coordinating with this many people was incredibly stressful. Everytime we needed to make a change or addition to this trip, and there were many, he was there. Jonathan stops at nothing to ensure his clients have a trip of a lifetime. Purple Light Vacations deserves all the stars and I urge you to reach out and allow them to help you plan your next vacation! It does not matter who you are or where you come from, the team at Purple Light will have help you every step of the way! Travel agents are back and I plan to tell all the millennials it is the only way to travel. read more

My partner and I used Purple Light for our trip to Paris and Barcelona last month and were so impressed with the accommodations and tours that our Travel Consultant, Jonathan, made for us. Each of the Hotels we stayed at were beautiful and exceeded our expectations. They were ideally located, the staff were extremely helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious and made for a great start to our days. Our hotel in Paris was literally a half block from the metro which was fantastic for helping us get around the city quickly. Our hotel in Barcelona was also exceptional. It was located in the heart of the Eixample neighborhood and within minutes of all the gay friendly bars, restaurants, and cafe's. Purple Light even provided us with a customized package of recommendations for restaurants, clubs, cultural sites, and events that they thought we might enjoy. What we appreciated most was the personal touch we received. Several times Jonathan checked-in with us via email to make sure everything was going well. It made us feel like there was someone available in case we had questions. While we had not planned to spend time in Sitges, Spain, Jonathan recommended we take a couple of days at the end of our trip to visit this town. That recommendation turned out to be one of the best highlights of our trip and we would have missed it if we had not booked through Purple Light. We plan on using Purple Light Travel for our next vacation and highly recommend them. Thank you to Jonathan for helping to create some amazing memories for us! read more

Purple Light Vacation recently assisted us in the planning and booking of our trip to Tahiti and Bora Bora. It was a complex itinerary as we had multiple flights, a cruise, land transport and multiple hotels. With Johnatan's help he found us the very best value's at the absolute best locations. Just before our departure we needed to make a few changes and he made them on the weekend during off hours without a complaint. Johnatan prepared a complete itinerary where everything was clearly outlined. Upon arrival of the cruise there was a great welcome gift from Johnatan and a sweet greeting. Through out the trip Johnatan kept checking in with us to make sure everything was okay. I have used many travel agents however none come even close to the level of service that he provided us with. Before working with Jonathan at Purple Light Vacations to plan a trip to Europe, we had no idea what the benefits were of working with a travel agent. Now that we know, we'll never book a trip without him! Jonathan is the wizard of travel. He found the most amazing hotel we have ever stayed in for our first days in China. The hotel in Hong Kong was in the perfect location for our first visit there. We needed help with booking our Atlantis cruise and he scored a very nice cabin. During our stay in Tokyo we had a problem with a tour company that no showed. He managed to get a refund in no time, and this was no small feat.
