I appreciate the eye for details ... Recently started playing with Puffco devices and still pretty novice when making upgrades or just replacing extra parts. I went to several shops in OC for a "New Proxy 3D Chamber". A couple tried to sell me the Proxy 3D Chamber that fit the old model. These guys not only stocked the right and most current parts, they also keep everything clearly marked so they dont sell the customer the wrong part. That extra eye for details is really appreciated and very helpful. When you need replacement parts this is my go to spot. When I asked the price they said they follow the Puffco pricing. One place down the road wanted 100 bucks for what they charged me 50. I used to go here many years ago and they always had great glass deals, I once got a flawed piece for dirt cheap that was a favorite daily driver for years. Thank you guys for kicking hind and looking out!! read more

I've been coming here for years. They USED to have chill workers but the new pale dude with the glasses is arragont and rude as hell. If you have a trash attitude maybe you shouldn't be working a customer based job. Thought it was just me but I've had three seperate friends go in and have the same interaction. All of us were nothing but polite. read more

The sales clerk in the store is HORRIBLE. He's misleading, arrogant and rude, not helpful in the least. The last person I would hire to deal with the public. I had the opportunity to speak with his "boss" on the phone who was very levelheaded and understanding but his in store sales person should not be dealing with customers. read more

Waaaaaaaay over priced!!! There's a couple other smoke shops around that are cheaper. Don't shop here!!

OK you've all been to smoke shops. You know what the deal is. Usually some surly dude behind the counter who when you ask him something specific doesn't know the freaking answer and could care less which gives him more attitude. Every single solitary time I've been in this place they have been super duper friendly and super duper knowledgeable, and totally chill and focused on the customer. And ..... the icing on the cake is their pricing! It is totally awesome. The rest of the smoke shops in this area completely blow compared to them. I highly highly recommend you stop in. read more

Pretty solid delta 8 products and the staff was very friendly and helpful :) recommend for anyone afraid of smoke shops this one's as friendly as it gets read more

The staff here is always so nice and helpful!! Melissa and Morgan are awesome!! Thank y'all!

Horrible customer service went in to buy a box of dutches and was going to pay full price for every individual pack in the box and was refused because worker said "My manager doesn't like to sell out" when they clearly had more than a box didn't understand the logic in not wanting to sell there product and when asked to speak to manager was just told Ik what they gonna say very unprofessional read more

This location always, I mean always, has my products. I moved from Costa Mesa to HB and live down the street from the HB location but sad to say they NEVER have anything in stock. I'll drive out of my way to this location obviously for my stuff, but also the employees who recognize me after months of not coming. Keep Up the awesome location guys! Purple haze is awesome! read more

Not only does the selection at this smoke shop absolutely SUCK, but they employees are very rude. Also they are incapable of reading labels and doing basic math. They sold me a menthol juice after I specifically said I can't do menthol, and then refused to let me return it literally 30 seconds later. 0/10 read more

Always top quality service. Best prices and very knowledgeable on all there products!

The definition of a actual smoke shop. Amazing glass , awesome sales and the most important part customer appreciation!!!

Probably one of the best experiences I have had at a smoke shop. Great selection and even better prices. I believe it was Tyler and one other guy that was working, but they were both incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. And, refreshingly, they were not overly pushy but Still provided excellent customer service. Will definitely be coming here again very soon. Thank you guys! read more

I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering it is a smoke shop but they literally do whatever they want, I drove by and someone was at the counter door open, went around back to pick up and came back and they were closed with a "will be back" sign....didn't come back at least for the 20 mins I waited. This is a Saturday night at 7pm?? so weird idk I won't be back. read more

Totally awesome and sweet staff here, always ready to point you in the right direction whenever you walk in. Great assortment of products for anyone looking to get their smoke on. Their 4/20 and 7/10 raffles are killer, lots of awesome deals on every shelf in there. Definitely one of the top smoke shops in CM / NB. read more

F*%K this place! I walked in here ready to purchase a BONG, brand-name, along with titanium nail set-up and all, prepared to pay CA$H, and i got kicked out... Apparently, the word "bong" is frowned upon and so, during this 15 min conversation with the cashier dude, it slipped out a few times. I was excited to be buying my bong! jeez.... and then he kicked me out! said to come back in a while... uhh... no! i don't think so. this place will NOT be receiving my money, no matter how close to home they are. It's the closest headshop to where I'm at.... but nah. not worth it. The other day, i went into the WingStop next door to eat. and since I had to wait for my food, (which was delicious by the way!) and i walk over to try to buy a plastic clip to hold the ash catcher on. Welllll.... not really a surprise, but they wanted to charge me $5 for a plastic clip!!!! ROBBERY! hah. i walked out, without said clip. I was NOT going to pay that price, for a piece of plastic! I went to the headshop on Bristol ave, near Redhill/Santa Ana ave, called Up In Smoke... now THAT is thee place to go! I went there right after I got kicked out the first time, bought my WHOLE bong setup there, including titanium nail, glass nail, globe, ash catcher, bong bag, etc. etc. Suchhhh a great deal there! They came through again today, when I went in for a plastic clip. The guy that runs UpInSmoke is amaaaazing. He sold me a plastic clip, for ONE DOLLAR! SCREW the prices at Purple Haze! Go to UpInSmoke!!! on Bristol/Santa Ana read more

Best smoke shop I've been to in the OC area!! The guys are rad and helpful. All products are high quality for an unbeatable price!! Mad love for this shop!! First time visiting Alan helped me find a good flavor for my vap. I might have tried every flavor before actually deciding on one. But he didn't seem to mind and was a pleasure to talk to! My memory is shot but pretty the gentleman working tonight was Robert. He was patient, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Thanks for all your help again man!! You'll be seeing me again soon! read more

Part of our Sex, Drugs and Rock N' Roll tour 2009 (Good Friday) The Drugs: Disclaimer: I don't imply this place sells anything illegal or else they'd be closed. Newport Beach cops have common sense. When reading this review, so should you. Went in to look at the metal Zippo lighters most smoke/cig shops have. They have none. Looked at all the merchandise. I don't do these things nor do I smoke anything. I can't even smoke my enemies on Red Alert 3 properly! Everything was very expensive (some over 100 bucks and such). But the wares were mostly pretty to look at. The good thing though: The help was actually helpful and friendly. A smile on his face all the time. Eager to answer our questions. The gas mask pipe was cool. The guy in the store told us about it; it has a camouflage bag and it was 50 bucks. I dunno if that's pricey for what it was. Still no lighters. All they had was the disposable ones. I wonder if One World had the Zippo lighters I wanted to see. I know Noize Music had them. Oh, and they were nice ones too. read more

Just bought a vape on sale from here, great price really nice guys!

Large selection of everything smoke related, high quality products where you don't need to worry about illegal ingredients in your vape pods, and very knowledgeable staff, especially Tyler. Very detail oriented, listens to customer questions and address them in a very professional, honest and genuine manner. Although prices can be lowered by few dollars on at least Juuls. read more

Just returned from a few days in LA and found this shop. AWESOME! I picked up a vapor blunt pinnacle and at a great price too! The guy behind the counter, I think his name was Lewis, was also REALLY helpful. He gave me a great deal and was very knowledgeable about the products and which to recommend. Used it right when I got back to my place and its worked great ever since. This place is the bomb. I'm from SF and I wish we had places like this up here. So much selection and good prices. Not sure what the other folks below are talking about, but it seems like whatever staff they had encountered has been replaced. No complaints here!!! read more

The crew is in a mood of partying. They don't much care why you stepped in or what you need.

Best smoke hands down. They are willing to work with you to find the specific product you're looking for. They make you feel like you're amongst friends ,always provide excellent service . They always have the best attitude this smoke is amazing read more

Been here two times now and Chris was the best, really seems like he cares about customer service. He took care of me and my coworkers. Definitely will be my shop of choice. I know they coffee and vape shop above may seem better I've been up there but then seemed to not care to much about me asking questions. I'm new too vaping, Chris really seemed to want to help. Thanks Chris. Told you I would do this review just a little late. read more

Sells BROKEN GLASS!!! Went in to buy a piece, noticed there was a huge crack on it, instead of replacing it with a new one employee says "you get what you get" & refuses to replace it; I didn't even leave the store. What type of place actually does that?! The worst customer service!!! Extremely rude and not helpful at all. read more

This place used to be cool. Staff constantly now tries to upsell when I come in for a simple item and won't stop trying after you say no. Dude leave me alone. Also, this place has charged my credit card multiple times, the last time during their stupid raffle where they have 80 people in the store and give away only one item that they tell you at the last second has a defect. When I bought my item the guy said my card didn't go thru and ran it thru 2 more times. I check my statement and it went thru every single time. Went back to my statements of my earlier visits. Same scam. These guys are crooks, won't be back. Go somewhere else. read more

Kickass shop, kickass employees who know their shit! Def a cool find right off newport blvd!

I don't know why everyone is rating this place so low, but I didn't think it was bad at all. I walked in, bought a pipe for $20, and walked out happy. Sure, they're a little pricey, but if that's the only reason you mad doggin' this place, girrrrrl, you best get to steppin', cause if you ain't go no monayyy, take yo broke @$$ home! read more

I am a novice in using medical marijuana. I had tried smoking it, but it hurt my lungs too much. So I went to Purple Haze because it was close to home to ask about a water pipe. I paid $100 for a good quality water pipe, and made sure to ask before I bought it if there was any chance at all that my lungs would be too sensitive to use it. He assured me that would not happen, because all the toxins in the smoke would be filtered through the water before reaching my lungs. I tried it that night, and had a serious lung reaction - my lungs hurt for hours. I know it wasn't the quality of the marijuana, because I purchased it from a high quality local grower who grows only the purest medicinal marijuana, and I only used a very small amount and inhaled only once. Since I bought the pipe, I've been trying to speak to the owner about my grievance, but he will not return my calls. So I asked to speak with a manager, but was told that I would have to come into the store on a day that a manger was there, but he could not tell me when a manager would be there, so I would just have to keep trying to catch a manager. I feel like I was misled by the sales person who sold me the water pipe, because I specifically told him I had very sensitive lungs. I know they have a "no return policy" on these items, but I feel because I was assured this pipe would not make my lungs react adversely, they should take it back. I have disputed this transaction with my credit card company, and am hoping that I will be successful in reversing the charge. I am writing this review to warn other novices about this store. I know there are probably not many of us, but I think it's important to let people who have serious health issues know that they have to be very careful about what store they choose to do business with. I would definitely not recommend this store. Shelley read more

This place always has a great glass selection. I was there last week and Noland was very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks Noland!!!

I purchased a volcano style vaporizer (the Pyramid) on Sat but didn't plug it in or use it until the following Wed. It worked ONCE, then died. I took it back and ask for an exchange. I was told that they would not exchange it. The staff gave me a web address that was supposedly for the warranty. It was a bogus address. I tried contacting them again and was told that the employee that sold me my unit no longer worked there (as if that mattered). I finally just sent a dispute to American Express. read more

I don't know what's happened to this place but it totally sucks now. I've been in there a few times in the last few months and the guys are always stoned. Like I get it, you work at a smoke shop but be a little professional. You'd think that since the employees are high the majority of the time they'd be courteous and their customer service would be on point but unfortunately it's exactly the opposite. They're incredibly rude, condescending and flat out lazy. Next time when you have a customer who buys something and it's stops working within days of walking out of your store you should try a little harder to accommodate them. read more

Horrible Horrible customer service!!!! NEVER go to this store! The kids that work behind the counter know nothing and are hooligans. Everything is overpriced. Not to mention they have HORRIBLE business etiquette. While I was in there, on two seperate occasions I noticed other customers walking in asking for the store thats located above them (a vapor store) and not only did they LIE and say that they WERE the vapor store but then continued (after getting called out on the fact) that the store upstairs had no inventory and cheap devices. I went up after hearing this the second time and told the Owner of the Vapor store. Poor business operations. These guys are jokes and are in it completely for the money and nothing else. Shame on the employees here AND the owner that allows this!!! read more

I love this place, They are super friendly! Allen is also very cutie wootie pants. I will be back!

Stopped in to check their costa Mesa location out and was pleasantly surprised! It's a small store, but tons of stuff. I wasn't even planning to buy something but Hayden (spelling?) talked me into a new little oil rig. I've seen the simba pipes before but I hadn't seen this yet. It's a little honey themed oil rig that was on sale. I couldn't pass it up. He gave me a bunch of raffle tickets for their upcoming raffle on the 9/26 but I don't even live around here. I just gave them to another customer walking in as I was leaving. Thanks Hayden! Next time I'm in town ill check the Costa Mesa store for sure. Great customer service! read more
