Warning for those waiting for delivery: I was waiting for my passport to be delivered, and on July 16, I checked the passport website. It indicated that it was mailed from Gatineau on July 16. I estimated it would take about three business days to arrive, so I expected it by Monday. However, I still hadn't received it by Wednesday, July 23, and thought that was relatively slow. Last night, I decided to check online for an update on my passport and discovered it had been returned to Purolator on July 18 at 8:42 PM. Purolator had attempted to deliver it earlier that day at 10:20 AM, but they didn't send a text, a phone call or leave a notice to indicate that they had come by. I rushed over the next morning to pick it up before they would return it to the sender. Now, I know not to rely on a notice or message that they came by, but I'm supposed to check online every day to see if it was delivered, and those who don't have the Internet are in big trouble. read more

Epic fail Purolator! You really need a better system for pickups for the south west of Montreal. I live a few minutes from downtown and received a notice that I missed a delivery. The notice indicated that the envelope would be held for 5 days and that I had to go to Lachine to pick it up. Yes Lachine! Please note that this is a 20 minute drive from my house, assuming no traffic. The return trip would be 2.5 hours if using public transportation. How's that for convenience! I can't believe that Purolator can't find a a location within the downtown area where customers could pick up a package. How about the post office located 5 minutes walk from my house (Canada Post owns Purolator) or the independent shop down the street used by UPS and other courrier companies? This really makes no sense. Oh, and to top it off the small envelope that they were delivering could have easily fit through the mail slot in my door (see related photos). read more

Is there an option for zero stars? I would rather train a turtle to carry things for me across the world instead of using their services. There has never been a time that anything from purolator got delivered to my hand. I doubt they ever ring the bell or knock on the door. And the worst thing is despite having a depot downtown they would send things all the way to lachine and you have to call them to either deliver it again or have it sent to the downtown location. I think they just love carrying things twice in their trucks. They should not be in the delivery business or in fact any service orientated business. read more

Wow, this place needs some serious customer service improvements. I get packages about once a month from Purolator. They just leave it at the door. Yesterday my tracking told me it had been delivered. I'd been working in the front garden all afternoon, nobody had come. So I take a chance and look at my neighbours' doors. You receive a notice that your package will be delivered today, so you shuffle your day and your clients around so that you can be home to accept your important package. Then you receive an email to let you know that you missed your delivery. They never buzzed or called and you saw them from 7 floors up walk with a fistful of missed delivery slips because they were too friggin' lazy to even attempt an actual delivery...this Purolator is why you are the absolute worst. read more

Not sure how this organization stays in business. Their service is so inferior to FedEx it not funny. The information on their website is never up to date, there is no way to track accurately when the packaged will be delivered and there is no way the re-route the package. If you missed it for some reason, you will have to wait another business day and drive to the industrial park in Lachine to pick it up yourself (assuming that you have a car, if not, I wish you luck). Never rang the bell (wife was home looking outside & saw the driver come to the door with card only - no package) & now I have to pick up the package in Lachine.....may as well be Timbuktu. Where to even start if I can give zero stars I would. First off the delivery man came and did not even ring the bell just left a paper on the outside of my apartment building door ( not even inside). The paper then stated that my package would be in the lachine area so that being said I called the company itself to see if they were open (June 24th st Jean Baptist) the woman on the phone told me they were and i mentioned 3 times If she was sure because it was a holiday and she told me yes it's open. So I have no automobile so had to take transit also may I add i am 5 months pregnant, just the walk itself from the last bus stop to the place is insane! No normal roads, buses have cancelled lines so it took me about 30 mins to walk there in this heat and like I said pregnant. I finally arrived and it was CLOSED!!!!! This is an issue it's bad enough this location sucks to get too (unless you have a car) but to go through all that time and mess to find out it's closed after being told it was open RIDICULOUS!!! What if it is someone elderly, or someone with health issues or like i who is pregnant it's insane to make them go to a place where no buses or any other means of transportation is around especially going because you were told it was open by someone who works for the company and it not being open! Yesterday I arrived at this place around 6 pm for my cousin's package ,my cousin has given me authority to get the package we have the same last name and we live in the same building but different appartment number but of course it wasn't enough so my cousin sent them email with all the information they need with my name and everything, but the woman didn't see my cousin's name in it she showed me the letter by printing the mail and there's no name but when my cousin showed me her actual email I saw her name it was on the right lower corner just like those formal way with sincerely yours etc. So that means that lady purposely removed that part of the letter just to trick me wow...and so she refused to give me the package and it was 7pm that's their closing time and she said it's 7 pm now I cannot serve you anymore but there was some people still standing behind me haha BS lady I bet she just wanted to redeliver the packages so they could charge her just like what they did to me before they wanted to charge me but I told them that they're not supposed to charge me because the Amazon charged me already lol stop being scam you have a job because of people like me so don't treat people this way.... read more

Worst company ever!!! I was home the two time they tried to deliver the package and even opened the door for them, but the person never delivered the package and left the delivery note outside of the door not even on my mailbox. The pick up location is an hour away from my house!! Like why am ordering online if I have to pick it up later? I wish I could leave zero stars. Always an issue with purolator. Drivers come to my home and claim I'm not here. Since they take it to Lachine, I have to call and have them redeliver. Right now, something was supposed to come last week. Driver claimed I wasn't here. I was but I guess it was too much effort to press the buzzer number for my unit. Then, it was rescheduled for two days later. I waited home all day and nothing showed up. Called again. I was told they didn't know what happened and they'd escalate and ensure delivery today. I took another day from home but the package isn't coming today and no one knows why. Save yourself the stress and use a reliable company who will actually do what you pay them to do. read more

Terrible service. Sorry that the company sending me the package used their service. Must be cheap. Got to to depot to pick up after missing delivery I did not have my slip as it was at home still. They asked for the number from the phone message everyone gets apparently. There was no message on home voice mail nor in my email where my voice messages are forwarded. The woman that served me refused to speak to me in my language of choice. Four staff that I saw and no one could find my package. It took them more than ten minutes to find the package of the man in front of me with his I'd number. Do these people not know how to file things. Is that not their work?? The Canadian Post is the biggest owner of Purolator, but unfortunately they don't provide the same quality of service. We ordered computer accessories on an online store in the US and we chose Purolator as the delivery since their price was competitive comparing to UPS. However we never knew that they had already come to deliver the items, until we tracked the shipping status to realize it. We live in an apartment. No pick up notice, no guaranteed call. You can go and pick it up at their warehouse on your own. So the items were sent back to the US. It is very strange to us that how a courier company can be managed like that, no calling. It is the first time in my life to know that delivery company really has no obligation to call the customer. Don't use it if you don't want to risk anything. read more

Wow.. where to even begin. No matter how bad of service I receive, I have never been bothered enough to write a review. But after this experience , I am compelled to warn future clients from ordering from purolator. This review takes precedence over studying for my exams (I'm a university student) - that is how bad my experience was. Their customer service representatives are rude, incompetent and obviously hate their job. I've spoken to Cassie, Donna and someone else who has straight up interrupted/cut off my explanation more than 5 times in the conversation. My parents spent $75 on their "next day delivery service" but it's been more than 8 days with no sign of the package. When calling them to follow up it was a string of being transferred to different departments and after 1 hour on the phone the only solid answer I had received was (verbatim) "for an unspecified reason the trucks were unable to deliver your package". Literally that was their answer - that they had no clue why. The package was a care package full of food made by my family. My 80 year old grandma hand-made meatballs, buns and meat sauce for me. We trusted purolator to deliver the package the "next day" as per their advertised service. Not only has the food most likely have gone bad by now, purolator refuses to claim responsibility and denies even a simple apology. At several times of the conversation on the phone the representative raised her voice to me to a shouting level, which I had recorded on my friend's phone. I have every evidence of their mismanagement and poor service. I felt mentally harassed, embarrassed and belittled to the point where I was shedding tears of frustration. It's time for clients to take their money elsewhere as purolator truly is an apathetic, low-grade, incompetent and disappointing service. Never, never order from them! Below is a simple bullet point on what went wrong . Delivery driver could not deliver package because of bad weather. On that day the sun was shining a beautiful sunny day . Driver could not deliver because road was closed. Road was not closed I was in all day . Driver could not deliver because address was wrong. No it was not . Spoke to a manager asked parcel to be delivered elsewhere. However it would cost me. . Asked parcel to be sent to one of your collection points . Walked the 2 miles to the collection point and no parcel . Call customer service and well the results from your customer service is a good old fashioned we don't give a shit because we have your money. Paid for 2 day shipping it is now day 7 so now I'm gonna have to claim from my credit card company. Give your selfs a slap on the back read more

Their drivers are scammers, saying "attempted delivery" and never getting out of their trucks. I can fairly say that I've never been across such an OUTSTANDING BAD PERFORMANCE !!! I really wonder how can an organization miss the chance of having a single professional employee .????? !!!!!. starting from the customer service agents to whomever claim that they are Managers !!!! I have been into a nightmare since the first moment dealing with them ... Arranging for pick up was a big mess , sorting error led to my parcel lying in Quebec instead of Nova Scotia for 2 days , 1 more day delay of delivery due to weather conditions , and no one knows what excuse they will come up with tomorrow !!!!!! Needless to mention that I already missed the deadline of submitting the documents !! It is useless to file a complain as no one will get back to you and if you try to follow up yourself using the reference number , you will be surprised that even the manager you spoke to didn't bother to write anything on the system !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you miss a delivery, apparently you can call to re-deliver to your place or another location, this is what I have been told. Purolator won't tell you unless you ask. It doesn't say anywhere about this option. If you cannot wait for your item, please drive. There's the 116 bus that is only available during rush hours. Please do not walk, Norman street does not have a sidewalk and there's a part that dangerous to walk beside cars. Purolator is cheap and doesn't care about their client. I was lucky enough that there was another person picking up their package and she offered me a ride back to a sidewalk, since the next 116 bus was in 40min. She also isn't satisfied with Purolator but it isn't like we chose Purolator to deliver our online orders. (Purolator encourages getting rides from strangers or endangering yourself to get roadkill or freeze to death if you decide to take the bus in the winter and makes you feel stupid for not calling) I give 2 stars because at least the lady at the desk was nice to me. read more
