I followed up with staff from this place and from the office manager to the medical assistants and even to the NP the ball was dropped. I then finally got a call from the NP and the tone of her voice was extremely condescending and she was in a rush to get off the phone. My experience here was not favorable and it's sad bc it's pediatrics. I will be switching my children to a better suited provider.

I'm extremely satisfied with they care she gives and the care the staff members give as well. Rest assured mommas that she will answer any and all questions you have and give you the best way to go about whatever problems our trouble you are facing. I feel like he is a true gem when it comes to doctors. He takes his time when he visits with you and your child. Where do I start. First, they are NEVER on time. Expect to wait at least 30-60 mins past your…read morescheduled appointment before you are either taken back or see the doctor. Here is my experience: 1) Unprofessional. Never even talked to the actual Neurologist, only his NP. 2) Was told my son had absence seizures off first EEG. They recommend Topamax for my son. We had to go do a 14 hr EEG and sleep study just for them to tell me everything came back normal AFTER they tried to put my son on neurological medication after the first EEG. 3) NP never could answer my questions with ANY ACTUAL information, answers were always very simple and could be found in a google search. Came to meetings very unprepared and ALWAYS late. 4) The billing is horrible. They overcharged my insurance and myself multiple times. When I called to get more detail about EOB, the biller didnt seem well educated on what they actually were billing me or my insurance. 5) NO COMMUNICATION. Noone prepared us for the overnight EEG, which by the way is conducted in the most run down, disgusting "Motel 6" type facility. 6) No patient bedside manner. My son is 5 yrs old and you tell me he is having seizures, then tell me everything is normal. The emotional toll this whole process has been for me, my husband, and my son has been intense. I feel like after 3 months, 7 dr appts, I have less answers and more questions than I started with. NP made me feel like she was always in a hurry and unprepared for our meetings. 7) All together my son had 2 in office evals, 2 EEGs (1 hr and a 14 hr overnight), genetic testing, and multiple survey/tests and the end result is he is normal. Sounds and feels like a money grab to me. They charge you for documentation about your child's milestones that YOU fill out. Not only did I have to pay a copay for them to email me the documents (an office visit co-pay), but then you have to pay for them to review. You also have to pay for EVERY time you talk to the doctor. I paid for the EEG, but you then have to pay to get the results. We were recommended by two people to see Dr. Rotenberg so we gave this place a chance, the problem is you NEVER talk or see Dr. Rotenberg. I honestly feel like this was all a money grab. I literally HAVE NO NEW insight on my child at all. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND I ABSOLUTELY FEEL BAMBOOZLED.

Flat out - I just did not trust another Pediatrician (I tried) like I trusted Bambi and her staff. I have never felt more listened to and understood medically than I was here. My son was not easy when he was born, and Dr. Hoefner never made me feel like my concerns were ridiculous or over the top. I was nurtured as a mother while also being educated. She is very thorough and so great with my daughter. She made her feel comfortable and talked to her in a very personal and almost grown up way. She has made great recommendations to us for everything from an eye doctor to swim lessons which was great being we were relatively new to the city when we found her. Her staff is also great. It's a small practice which I appreciate having come from a larger one with 10+ pediatricians. We've been able to form a close relationship with her and her staff. Even though it's a small office, their availability and super short wait times are really great compared to say a larger practice which always seem to be completely booked and very busy. I can't say enough great things about her! I think some parents in this city prefer the larger name brand offices (Texas Children's, Memorial Hermann, etc.) being that they seemingly have all the bells and whistles (I.e., more resources, newer offices, more doctors, things like that). It all comes down to what you're looking for and what you value most.

Her notes are super thorough as well! I had a gap in coverage due to being laid off and when I came back in, she just picked right back up where we started. I highly recommend still! She's the best!
