Very cool place, with a vast selection of sizes & items to choose from. There's something for everyone! Here are some "in progress, before & after" pieces we've done. Thanks Toby & staff!

At a cursory glance the prices were better here than a lot of online businesses. I was looking for talavera address tiles and a holder. The shop has a great selection of numbered tiles but unfortunately they didn't have a high contrasty one I was looking for, but they did have the metal holders which I also needed. I bought the tiles from a different local store. Tip 1: Don't make the same mistake I made. If you buy them from somewhere else, bring them all in to try in the frame. That's because, the sizes and shapes of both the tiles and the holders are asymmetrical and it's a matter of trying to get the best fit. The lady that owns the store is very nice and helpful and will these things to you. Tip 2: Make sure you absolutely love what you are getting because once you buy it there are exchanges or store credit, no refunds. Tip 3: The opening and closing hours are not strictly adhered. I waited twice outside the store, once at opening and once 20 min after opening time and the store was not open. Reading other reviews I'm not the only person this happened too. It's the same with closing time. They may close up early. I would suggest calling ahead first so you don't waste your time driving like I did. This is the only reason I'm taking one star off.

It's a cute shop with a variety of nice items and a big selection, and different price ranges, but they are not very friendly. I felt awkward in there. I had always wanted to take a clay class and I can now check this off of my bucket list. First of all, Rebecca is a class act. She really knows her stuff and guides you forward with a affirming presence. She made it easy for me to feel comfortable working with the clay and not feeling like I had to have a perfect outcome. Clay is fickle and the results you get are not going to be Art Class results right away. More than anything, I just needed a creative outlet to try something new. I'm please with the pieces I made, even though some didn't work out like I wanted them to. That's just part of the learning process. It's called Clay Art for a reason. At the front of the studio when you walk in the door is a gallery of pieces by advanced artists. In looking at them, I was reminded that it takes total dedication over many years to develop the touch required for mastery of this craft. I began an amateur and ended a happy amateur with a few pieces that I'm proud off. I highly recommend taking a 6-week class with Rebecca. I recommend you drop by the studio if you're looking to purchase some really amazing clay or pottery art for your home or office.

She really needed a private class that could work with her schedule. I was so frustrated that I did not come back for the last two classes. I went to pick up my projects and could not find one of them. No explanation just gone. When teaching a class I have found it works best when everyone is working on the SAME project, and the instructor has examples in stages to show and tell them while doing a walk around checking in with students while the class is working on the SAME project/item. This was not the case everyone was all over the place and there really was no organization to the class plus we did not follow what was stated in the class notes. I feel it was poorly organized, lack of instruction and follow-through. Rebecca was our instructor, she is a kind and thoughtful person who is very knowledgeable, and I think if she changed a few things she could make the classes fantastic. This was a beginner's class, so I sincerely feel they need to be more structured and supervised (walkaround). I would like to note that my mother, husband and I all took the class, and this sentiment was felt by all. To be truthful, due to my experience with this first class I will not be taking another class, sorry but that is how I feel. I took this class to gain some rudimentary techniques, relax, and spend some time with family but instead left with two classes to go due to anxiety and learning NOT MUCH to NOTHING! I am not someone who gives up easily but I felt the frustration and anxiety simply was NOT worth the gain or lack there of.
