Dance Vision Studio - Mckinney

My fiancé and I were toying with the idea of getting some professional tips for our wedding's first…read moredance. We found Dance Vision online and it was close by our home! They have several locations in the DFW area. Neither of us are dancers so we thought it would be a fun time to try something new! For $50 (total), both my fiancé and I received two 30-minute private dance lessons with an instructor. Based on the song we chose, the Dance Studio came up with the dance. For our first session, our instructor was Tre. He was so much fun! He made the lesson super digestible and easy to follow. We had a lot of fun making mistakes along the way, but ultimately was able to pick up the basics by the end of the 30 min session! For our second session, our instructor was Cristina. She was very nice, and added a little extra spunk to our dance routine to make it look more natural, and exciting. By the end of our second 30 minute lesson, we were able to get down the basics of the routine to practice from home. At the end of each lesson the instructors will sit down with you and recap what you've learned. They are truly passionate about dancing, caring, and patient! Depending on your dance skills/level, the instructors will map out a number of set lessons for you prior to your wedding. This can look very different from person to person/couple to couple. They recommended 20 lessons for us (a couple private classes per week), but we ultimately decided we didn't have that much time between work and other commitments to dedicate for a 1 min dance. Additionally, the twenty ~45 min lessons came out to be ~$2K, and we felt like that money could have been used elsewhere in our lives at the moment. However, in addition to paying for the private classes, your tuition will include group dance lessons that you can attend for free. We had a great time, and appreciated the time and effort each instructor gave us!

The instructors work with you and work within your budget, which was important to me. The instructors are incredible. I have been working with Craig and he has taught me so much in the short time I have been with him. I love going there; they make you feel so at home and comfortable in their studio. I can't say enough good things about Dance Vision in McKinney. I love it there. One of the best experiences and therapies there is. Will continue to go there and love dancing with Craig.

I am so glad mine and my daughter's paths crossed with Fentons Dance Factory! I knew of Fenton…read moreseveral years back when I was out of High School but just never attended any classes at his studio. Fast forward to early Spring 2023 when I decided to bring my daughter here to take classes. The "vibe" grew with her immediately and she was asked about performing in their upcoming recital. She then decided to audition for FTROOP that Summer and made their Teens team. So many amazing Hip Hop instructors here! Getting to know everyone each time we walk through the doors has been such a blessing and one big dance family. I have had a blast taking Adult classes with Fenton and other instructors as well. My daughter loved being on FTroop Teens so much, she auditioned again for 2024 & is currently on Seniors team. This studio offers rentals if you need a room for lessons or to practice. Call to inquire and speak with Kristin. Summer camps and intensives are offered and just added, was the Winter camp. Feel free to check out their Instagram handle as well, to keep up with all studio news, events and updates.

But I feel it would be irresponsible to stay silent about the studio owner's unacceptable conduct. He's fun and charming with parents, seriously he is incredible at building rapport, but that facade shifts behind closed doors. I only ever met him in person once, and it was when he barged into a teacher's class to humiliate a student who was no older than 10. I don't recall what it was about, but he interrupted the entire class to shame her and it was uncomfortable to say the least. She just about cried, and because he was the studio owner, no one stood up for her. If that wasn't bad enough, he found my Instagram and was being pushy and trying to negotiate my boundaries with me. The dance world is small and word gets around quick. I was submissive toward him and feared being blacklisted or insulted if I spoke up. but now that I have a kid I feel angered knowing kids were alone with this man. I would never, and I mean NEVER bring my child here. To advertise qualities like character on your studio signage only to switch up like this the moment he gets students alone like this repeatedly...it's a major conflict of interest.

I rarely leave reviews, but this situation warrants serious attention…read more On a Friday, that too on Good Friday, at approximately 2 PM--during normal business hours--vehicles parked for no more than 30 minutes in spots facing Spring Creek and Independence were aggressively towed. This occurred despite the fact that the studio itself appeared inactive at the time, with no visible customer activity and ample parking available directly in front of its entrance. From a reasonable and community-oriented perspective, this enforcement appears excessive and disproportionate. Parking policies are understandable when they serve a legitimate business need--such as ensuring access for paying customers. However, enforcing towing under these circumstances, where there was no apparent demand or obstruction, raises concerns about fairness, proportionality, and good faith. Businesses operate within communities, and with that comes a level of responsibility to act reasonably--not punitively--especially when no harm or inconvenience is being caused. Towing a vehicle within such a short window, absent clear necessity, creates the impression of predatory enforcement rather than responsible property management. If this is indeed standard practice, it would be advisable for the studio to: * Ensure clear, prominent, and unambiguous signage * Allow a reasonable grace period * Exercise discretion based on actual parking demand Actions like these don't just inconvenience individuals--they erode trust within the broader community. I strongly urge management to reconsider how these policies are implemented. A business thrives not just on rules, but on fairness, judgment, and respect for the community it serves.
