I can recommend SNS Cars to anyone looking for a used car with complete confidence you will be…read moretreated ethnically with respect and honesty. I had been looking for a specific car for months--specifically, a 09-14 Toyota Corolla Matrix. My brother and I made road trips out of it, often driving up to three hours each way to look at a prospect only to find that the seller had withheld important information. It's good we enjoy road trips, but we're old men, and fuel is expensive. More importantly, my need was becoming urgent. I had just given up hope and was on my way to look at a regular Corolla, which I would probably have purchased when I saw the SNS Cars, Inc. advertisement for a 2010 Matrix on CarGurus. I left a message but didn't expect a reply in time to keep from probably buying this other car. To my surprise, Adel replied quickly, and we discussed the car on the phone. He was straightforward to talk to. I was clear about my auto search history and the kinds of things I'd seen, and I asked him if it was worth my time to drive over two hours to look at his car. He assured me it was, and he was right. The car is in very good condition, inside and out. We took it for a test drive and looked it over with a critical eye. The buying process was low-key and easy. We quickly agreed on terms and sealed the deal. I was surprised that Adel could register the car and provide permanent metal license plates and stickers right then and there. There was a brief period when the check engine light came on, and it went away. I called Adel and asked him for his advice. I suggested that I was going to be taking the car to my regular mechanic for routine service and they could review the issue there. Even though the warranty he offers requires me to bring the car to him, he quickly and happily agreed that he would help make it right. Some Google research indicates it has to do with, of all things, the gas cap! The light cleared on its own when I refilled the tank. Go figure. It was good to know that SNS Cars stands behind the sale. If you go there and buy a car, negotiate for a delicious cheesesteak sandwich from his wife's food truck if it's not out at another site!

Where to start? From the beginning would be a good idea. I have had several issues with AAA Auto…read moreService. 1. My Expedition needed new tires. Fine. Had AAA order them, and install. When I went to pick up the vehicle I notice a $200 charge for "tire insurance." When I questioned the line item I was told that I had agreed to the service. I had not. The service adviser then challenged my comment stating that I had signed the agreement. Yes, my initials were on the order, but at no time was I asked if I wanted "tire insurance" for new tires. I got into an argument with the service adviser when asking for a credit. Finally, he relented and a credit was issued. Point here: never, ever argue with a customer. 2. Took the Expedition in earlier this week for a state inspection actually believing that it would fail due to possibly needing new brake pads and rotors. Amazingly enough it passed. The next issue follows the inspection. 3. Even before taking the Expedition inspection I noticed a slight vibration through the steering wheel. This persisted even after the "inspection" by AAA Auto. So, I decided to take the vehicle to local shop to chase down the cause. Here are the results: a. all the wheels were out of balance. b. the lug nuts on one wheel were stripped on the outside so if I had a flat there would be no way for me to remove the lug nuts much less the tire. The folks at AAA Auto strike again. c. all the brake pads and rotors were toast. Therefore, they needed replacement. So why did the Expedition pass state inspection? Was AAA Auto hoping that I would notice increased vibration and return so they could do the brake work? I have no idea. Fortunately the work was done by a very reputable local shop. Bottom line: DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO AAA AUTO. EVER!! I certainly won't.

So 18 bucks to run through the machine and slap some tire shine on. It does allow you to drive around to the inside and they do have towels and very good vacuums to do the rest of the work yourself. If I knew that I had to dry my car off myself I would have just washed it at home in the driveway since that's half the job. They have some memberships here that I need to look into that involve unlimited washes but maybe if you don't have a place to wash your car it's a great deal for you but I'll either be going to the train station or just do it myself.
