We recently purchased a 4 year old Yorkie for $2500 from Tiny Puppies World off of the site Good…read moreDog. According to that site we were supposed to get a dog that was seen by a vet and approved for sale and had all updated shots. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived home to see her shot records only included shots from when she was 1 months old! No rabies shots ever, which is illegal in FL! I reached out to the owner who also stated she had never given her heart worm medication either! I also sent her a picture of Bellas teeth which were in terrible shape. So basically they just bred her and made money off her and then sold her. The owner did agree to pay me for vaccinations and testing (thank goodness she was negative for heart worms). She did pay some after various excuses but missed (again) a promised payment. Please don't buy a puppy from Tiny Puppies World.

Today, July 18, we went to Doctor Cohen's with a friend and her elder dog. Even though she is a…read morenew patient they were able to see the pup. They were honest at the front desk explaining that they don't do emergency but would see her if we were willing to wait. More than reasonable since we didn't have an appointment. The ladies at the front desk were professional and courteous. A few minutes later another woman comes in with pretty much the same situation. A pup in need of care. Heard the ladies explain in the same way they did with us. Now this woman is asking for names and how they were rude...smh. Just because they were unable to accommodate immediately...it is ridiculous...when you go somewhere to any business outside of a scheduled appointment you can expect a wait. The ladies handled the situation with the utmost professionalism. Always love my experience with Doctor Cohen and his staff!!

Then we called Cohen's office for a follow-up. It was supposed to be free. When he came in he had no idea why we were there. He didn't look at any of the paperwork we had. I had an exray the other Veterinarian wanted him to see. He ignored that too. He asked if we wanted to do the regular check up for her licence and heart guard meds. So we also got our 11 year old on flea and tick medicine at that time. He was very cold towards my husband and I. We had an emergency again. Katie was screaming in pain and needed attention like right now. We called again on Saturday morning to see if we could get her in. They blew us off and said we could book an appointment on Wednesday the 1st of April. So we made that appt. Sunday at 3:30 she again woke us up with screams of pain. So we took her to the hospital. They said she had brain cancer. We had to put her to rest. I called to cancel her appointment on Monday. They have still haven't called to say Condolences. In They are cold blooded. I can't believe how caring he was in 2016 when we first got Katie. She was 3 and a half years old. What happened to him?

I went with my friend so her daughter could pick out two of them. This place is absolutely beautiful. When we first arrived, we were greeted by Ellen and her super friendly pup, and they showed us around. We got to go into the aviary, where I fell in love with a darling cockatiel. First off, the aviary is stunning. Ellen and Darien take in rescued birds, rehabilitate them, and re-home the ones that they can. They go to great measures to ensure that the right person adopts the right bird, and they provide wonderful resources and hands-on training. The birds are extremely well taken care of and cared for by Ellen and her staff. As someone who believes in animal advocacy, this means a lot to me. I am now finishing the process of adopting that sweet little cockatiel (she comes home tomorrow), and I am so overwhelmed with gratitude for Ellen, Darien and all the amazing work they do for the animals at the Rescue & Sanctuary. I highly recommend with a full and happy heart!!
