I had to change them out after a few days bc they were embedding and so painful it was waking me up in the middle of the night throbbing. These were piercings number 16 and 17 for me, so I pretty much know the ropes, and this was a jewelry issue for sure. If you go to get piercings here, make sure to advocate for yourself and ask for the longer bars and you should be good.

We were able to get an appointment quickly with a piercer who has been in the business for 17 years, which is great to have someone with all that knowledge. It took about 20 minutes to get through the paperwork and have the earrings sanitized and when my daughter sat down she spent additional time walking her through all of the steps and expectations - we were never rushed and all questions were respectfully answered. When my daughter got nervous she stopped and calmly walked her through it and waited until she was fully ready again. The piercing sites were marked where my daughter was able to see before hand and adjust as desired, everything was cleaned and then after the piercing she applied a cold saline cloth which my daughter loved. It has been two weeks and so far the piercings haven't caused any pain - we followed the advice to not turn and clean with saline spray only as needed, which is the exact opposite advice I received decades ago and it has worked fantastically. Also, the earring she got had flat backs so they don't poke into her head, which has also provided better comfort then the shopping mall piercing I received as a child. Additionally, we go back after 8 weeks for them to update her earring size, which provides a smaller rod through her ear since the current earring is longer to account for swelling - this is a great option which I wasn't expecting, there is a lot of thought that goes through this entire process! I highly recommend this for a first piercing for your child. It is far more expensive than a mall piercing but such a better experience that it is definitely worth it!

I am certainly no artist but words don't seem like they would be that difficult for a professional tattoo artist, especially when a picture of what is requested is shown to the artists and a mockup that looks perfect is created.. I was wrong. I have been asked if it is my child's handwriting. Adding to the review since I don't see a way to respond to the helpful response that this received. Yes, I did pay for it with a generous tip. No, unfortunately, I have not contacted anyone as I assume there's no way it can be corrected. If there is a way to contact the owner, I would love to do so and explain my concern and remove this review. The artists were polite and courteous, so did not want to write a negative review but felt I needed to warn others. While a review like this might not be the best way to solve the issue of my dissatisfaction, I am a little bit embarrassed to contact anyone regarding it.

The ambiance of the bathroom is homey and had so many different artworks on the walls that you can look at while you're using the bathroom. Both of these guys used to work at Splash of Color in East Lansing and have robust portfolios. I came to Eric with only a vague idea of what I wanted and Eric drew up a GREAT design for me; it was absolutely perfect! These guys are definitely artists. I would say my tattoo was moderately priced (I believe I paid $140 + tip for about 3 hrs of work). I know someone with a lot of work by Chris and her tats are all very beautiful as well.
