Service was great, however, I felt pushed to buy products after which was a big turn off. I was told about it on the table during facial, then again when walking to the change room, then again as I was changing the woman came back and told me more about it and they would be on the counter. I was interested at first, but after feeling really like I had no option, I was out of the sale. I don't like that. I absolutely have an option. I loved the products and the woman was kind, knowledgeable definitely, we chatted a lot during services, but I do not like feeling like I am without option to go without if I choose. It felt like I was obligated or something. I told the front desk it's more than I wanted to pay and I will pass now.

They were both amazing! Cadence was so nice & friendly, we chatted during the massage. She really got in there and helped relieve the tension in my neck/back area where I wanted her to focus on. It felt soooo good! I really appreciated that she asked me if I wanted more or less pressure and what areas to focus on. She was fantastic! I highly recommend Cadence for a great massage. I had a 30-min break in between treatments so I sat in the lounge and had hot tea and snacks. I was so relaxed and felt so pampered. Then Karla came to get me for the Fire & Ice treatment. She first scrubbed my whole body to get rid of dead skin, she wrapped me up like a cocoon, she used hot stones, she gave me the best facial that I ever had (I had many in the past), using cool gels and a couple of cool & tightening masks, she checked my pores, she put this thick gel in my hair and scrubbed/massaged my scalp. OMG! I was in heaven! Everything felt soooo good! This was hands down the BEST spa treatment that I have ever had. I just recommended it to a close friend in Seattle and she just booked a trip to Victoria just to get that treatment. Karla said "Fire & Ice" is a summer promo but I hope it stays on the menu permanently. Thank you both Cadence & Karla for your superb service! Thanks to Lauren also for guiding/directing me inside the facility.

I genuinely don't like leaving negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel…read moreother people should know before booking here. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO WITH HANNAH! The biggest concern was hygiene. The drill bit used on me still had someone else's nail polish residue on it, meaning it hadn't been properly cleaned before being used on another client. That alone made me really uncomfortable. The service itself was even worse. The technician (Hannah) was extremely rough with my hands the entire appointment. She kept twisting, grabbing, and tossing my hands around instead of moving them gently. Multiple times I told her she was hurting me, and every time she just said "oh" and continued doing the exact same thing. At one point she filed so aggressively that she went all the way into the sidewall of my natural nail, which was painful and completely unnecessary. She also lost control of the drill (multiple times...) resulting in more pain and even cutting my finger. She also didn't properly size the nail tips. Instead of checking which sizes actually fit my nails, she grabbed random ones after already putting glue on them and just stuck them on anyway. What made the whole experience feel even more uncomfortable was the lack of professionalism. Although the technician spoke English, she refused to communicate with me during my appointment and instead only spoke with her coworkers in Vietnamese. I don't expect anyone to speak a certain language, but when I'm the client and I'm trying to communicate about pain or ask questions, I'd expect at least basic communication. Towards the end of my appointment a lady who I believe is the owner walked in and right away my technician was more gentle with me (although she still wouldn't speak to me). There were also several things that made me question the cleanliness and safety of the salon. Staff lunches were sitting right beside the nail chemicals and supplies, and nail products were being stored in the bathroom where they could potentially be accessed or tampered with. Also for what it's worth, this is the only salon I've been to where I didn't see any visible business licence being displayed. Overall, this was one of the worst salon experiences I've had. Between the hygiene concerns, painful service, poor communication, and overall lack of professionalism, I won't be returning & I would encourage you to look into better places.
