I have never posted a 1 star review but felt obligated to after my experience. My appointment was on November 1, 2026 at 2:00 pm. I arrived on time and was seen 15 minutes later since the previous client was still getting their hair done. I showed the stylist inspiration pics of the kind of bangs I want for my hair. I told Nayelie how apprehensive I was to get bangs because I had not had them in a long time and did not want them to be too thick or uneven. I mentioned that I have wide temples and wanted them to be long, wispy, to frame my face shape, and want to be able to wear them as bangs or part them to the side. We both agreed on the wispy long curtain bangs and she proceeded to tell me that she wasn't going cut the bang part how I wanted but she was going to style them instead and afterwards if I still want the bangs she would cut them. I do not understand why she did not initially cut how I asked them, but I trusted her and let her do her thing. By the time she started blow drying my hair, her next client came and was waiting for her hair to be cut as well. Towards the end of the appointment I felt rushed. After she finished styling my hair and turned me around to the mirror, I did not like how she cut my hair. I asked her if she could please cut my bangs how I asked. She then grabbed a tiny amount of hair from the middle of my "bangs" and gave it a blunt short chop. She kept complimenting my hair and I tried to convince myself that she knows what she is doing and maybe I just am not used to them. I then go to my car and start combing my bangs through and they were very choppy, uneven, and not what I asked for. I was very upset and messaged Nayelie on Instagram about how I felt in a calm and respectful manner. I also sent her the original inspiration picture and a picture of my current bangs. She did not seem emphatic and only apologized for feeling rushed, my bangs are clearly cut very badly and she did not want to take accountability for how the cut came out. She only offered to take a better look at them in person during times I am unavailable as a full time employee. The salon is also far from me and I wanted to go venture out and try a new salon. I love supporting women owned businesses and have been on the search for a salon that I can regularly go back to. I then let her know how it is an inconvenience for me and quite frankly, I did not feel comfortable with her touching my bangs again. She then said she would send me $20 since that is what she charges for a bang trim. It felt like such a slap in the face to offer $20 on a $115 haircut (service tip included). My bangs are so crooked, now I have to go shorter than I wanted, they are also not blended with the rest of my haircut and I am just overall incredibly disappointed with the entire haircut. I have been wearing my bangs clipped back and am so embarrassed. What upset me the most was the lack of empathy and accountability, I would highly suggest to be careful with who you book with. There are a lot of amazing stylists at this salon and the owner was so nice and friendly, I wish I had booked with her instead.

I was told she forgot to write it in her book and simply asked if I wanted to reschedule, I told her it was my son's birthday, I told her the journey that it took to get us there, without any real attempt to accommodate us that day after we had already made the trip. There was no service recovery offered, which was especially disappointing given the inconvenience. Out of respect, I showed up as scheduled, even though my day was hectic and I had considered canceling, because I didn't want to waste her time. Unfortunately, that same consideration wasn't returned. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and effort to make it right is what stood out most.
