Some of the reasons that I love it so far: * The instructors - I have taken at least one class with every instructor, and all of them epitomize the studio slogan of STRONG*SEXY*FIT. They often come around during class to help make sure that your form is correct so that you're getting the most out of your workout, which I really appreciate. * The challenges - Laura periodically runs various challenges throughout the year to help keep everyone motivated. I successfully completed the Summer Burn Challenge, even with an 8 day vacation scheduled in the middle of the challenge period. * The variety of classes - there are at least a dozen different classes from which to choose. Even when I attend the standard bootybarre class, which continues to be my favorite, the instructors do an excellent job of changing it up so that each class is different. * The equipment - each class uses different equipment including hand weights, small balls, large balls, various bands, TRX bands and of course, the ballet barre. Starting in January, Laura is adding a new class called bootybarre Bounce, which uses fancy trampolines. It's similar to that but amped up (taller "step") and updated for the 2020s with the addition of bands (that hang from the ceiling), barre moves and other fun stuff. Loree is not only very helpful, she is friendly and has a great vibe about her. I was able to enjoy both the Pilates on the reformer and the mat classes along with a private session, I loved the constant variety, no class is the same and each move allows the ability to cater to your needs. Loree knew I had been dealing with a shoulder injury and was always suggesting alternative moves for me to do! I highly recommend taking her classes, you won't be disappointed! I've attended quite a few yoga classes with different instructors, and everyone has been extremely nice and helpful. Still hoping to try out the barre and spin classes. The studio is clean, cozy, and offers a variety of classes each day, which is helpful if you have a flexible schedule. The only negative I've found is that sometimes people waiting for the next class to start can be very loud in the waiting area which is located right next to the yoga room, often interrupting the relaxation of savasana. I'd also love for them to integrate more chanting/spiritual elements in class and maybe even use oils on the third eye and temples while in savasana; but that's just a request, not a complaint :) Overall Studio Oxygen is a fantastic studio in an area with very limited yoga options.

My mom started taking me to barre and yoga with Jackie, and I am seriously a new person. Actually, I'm about 20 pounds less of a person. My mom describes barre as "ballet on steroids," and that is a very good thing, my friends! Not to toot my own horn too much, but (comparatively, anyway), I look hot. I'm no spring chicken, but some 20-year-old guy whistled at me the other day. That's how good Jackie is at her job. I have a lot of old sports injuries and my ankles are utterly destroyed. I've had to cut back on running big time and there's not a lot I can do without limping for the next week or so. This has been bumming me out for years, but barre and yoga are both low impact enough that I can go 4 times a week without feeling any extra pain. Don't get me wrong though, these classes are HARD. Like, thigh-shaking, gasping for breath, I can't walk the next day difficult. Still, they're amazing! I feel so strong and good about myself, and Twisted is a really friendly and nice place to work out. I love it, and you should check it out asap!

There is a real sense of community here as well...I highly recommend. Though it might be pricier than a Fitness 19 or Planet Fitness, the results and benefits are well worth it.

So energetic and encouraging and they make each workout fun. You'll definitely leave there feeling the burn. The classes are almost always just ladies, however I have been to a couple of classes with a guy or two. It's open to all, but most people are regulars and everyone seems to know one another. The studio is very clean and I really appreciate that the classes start and end exactly as scheduled. The weekend classes always fill up quickly, so be prepared to be wait-listed.

It really is a total body workout that has small impact on your joints (bad knees? no problem - you can alter your movement so it doesn't agitate that area), and it is open to ALL age levels (seriously, everyone from high school students to snowbirds come to classes). I love how many different ways there are to get involved in it too - from holiday parties to "bring on the men" classes to pure barre bingo. You come for the workout, and you stay for the community. It really is one big family there, and everyone is always celebrating the other's victories (like becoming a part of the 100 Tuck Club, 250 Tuck Club, etc.). And congrats to Tiffany and Meredith for opening the studio 5+ years ago - it isn't easy to run a small business, and they manage it with ease.
