The instructor was great and helped me get settled in and setup the reformer with the jumpboard. I've taken reformer classes before, so it was a good extension of trying something slightly different. There's sticky pads to put on the reformer so you don't slip and we also used very squishy balls. I wasn't exhausted or overly sweaty, but felt like I got a good workout in. The people here are friendly and would definitely recommend checking this place out.

I have been a member at Title Boxing Watertown for the past half-year or so…read more Around a month ago, I approached the staff at Title Boxing Watertown (Massachusetts) and asked them to cancel my membership as I planned to move to New York. The staff told me to cancel my membership in the app, but the app cancellation did not work. I went abroad right after so was unable to get in touch with staff subsequently The cancellation did not happen, and I went to the owner, Sean Lally, and asked him to cancel and not charge me on October 23 (the 23rd is my billing date) because I had made an in-person cancellation request. He again told me to go through the app and refused to honor my cancellation request that I had made previously. I tried to cancel in the app, and the cancellation was not working again. I was shocked by what happened next. When I asked the owner, Sean, to come to some arrangement so that I would not be charged for an entire month that I would not be able to use, he was very rude and refused to come to any sort of mutually satisfying arrangement. Moreover, he told me that it "convenient" for me that in-app cancellation was not working. When I told Sean that he runs his business in an unfair manner, he began to stereotype me and told me "that is why you don't own your own business." When I asked why he thought I didn't he replied "I just assume you don't." This is when our interaction turned from mere rudeness and unprofessionalism into utterly inappropriate behavior. Shortly thereafter, Sean told me to "get out." Needless to say, I no longer feel welcome going to Title Boxing Watertown.

I used to be a hot yoga freak some ten years ago. I'm talking going every day and sweating…read moredisgusting amounts in a tiny room with a strong stench of BO. Then I stopped and started doing more cardio-heavy workouts, which, incidentally, has given me a lot of tightness and kinks that yoga would have sorted out. The upshot of my spiel is - I'm back to yoga now. I certainly notice a difference after intentional stretching and I'm not disciplined enough to remember to do it on my own. I tried Restore at YogaSix and it was AMAZING. I loved the focus and time spent on individual poses. I've done vinyasa before and it was all right - the flow sometimes gets too fast for me and my wrists don't like too much time spent in down dog. This class was super relaxing and restorative, not too strenuous at all, and incorporates blocks, a bolster, and a strap. It's very heated but because you're moving pretty slowly, I wasn't sweaty afterwards. I appreciated the instructor gave a heads-up that she'd offer hands-on assistance but she'd respect any indication if that's not your thing. I've taken a few classes before where the instructor will get right up in your space - I don't mind necessarily but I know that's not others' cup of tea. The next day, I took Sculpt and Flow and it absolutely kicked my butt. I was a puddle halfway through. It had been a while since I had sweat pouring out of every pore from a workout. The class is heated, which feels nice in the beginning when you come inside from the cold, and then rapidly becomes a furnace. The sequence is extremely fast, with minimal breaks, and while you're encouraged to go at your own pace, I couldn't keep up with the latter half. Two very different yoga classes but I liked the variety and schedule here. They run some good specials on classes/packages, especially if you're a student in the area. Mat rentals available but I think most people brought their own. Lockers and cubbies for putting away shoes and coats. Really nice, clean yoga space that didn't have the stereotypical hot yoga funk. They are the only reason I keep coming back. They will make sure you have the right postures. They will also help with modifications, and ensure that you are safe, if you have any sort of injuries or pregnant. The only con is when they are training for new instructors. I can definitely tell the difference between a seasoned instructor and a new one. Another con (for me) - they offer bar move, or level two, that are more intense, but not nearly enough (only 2 classes per week). I like the move and level two because I think they are harder. They also have a beautiful space, and friendly and helpful staff. The facts (not necessarily cons, but just what to expect): As to be expected for a place in Wellesley, you get what you pay for. It's pretty costly to go regularly. It is mostly women, with a certain look (read - nice yoga pants and pretty workout tops). But they are not judgmental, or I never felt judged. They dont have a separate men/women locker room. But you also dont sweat like crazy for these type of exercise, that you need to rinse or bring any change of clothes. They have cubbies right outside of the studio.
