This place was great!…read more Did a drop-in yoga class for gentle yoga while on vacation. The booking was super easy online and $20 for a drop-in class, and check-in was a breeze. I loved how intimate the studio was - I'd imagine a class of more than 10-15 would feel crowded. Everyone there was very friendly and was impressed with the instruction - laid-back but also very practical. They don't expect everyone to know all the terms, so I'd say the gentle yoga class would be very beginner-friendly. They have everything you need - mats, towels, even a little water cooler, so don't worry if you don't have your gear. Parking wasn't an issue, and there's a juice bar right across the street if you want a treat post-workout. I'll come back next time I'm in town!

Although pilates is a physical activity - it isn't a cardiovascular workout and in so many ways it is ideal as an anti-aging exercise program. Lots of women take up pilates in their 40s, 50s and older and whatever your age when you start - you won't have to worry about your body not coping with pilates. Pilates is a total system of exercises which is designed to build your body's core strength gradually through balancing, stretching and correct breathing techniques. In addition to Pilates, we also offer mat and barre classes, Reiki and stretching cardio jump classes. Check our website for class times!

Exercise and vacation are two words that do not go together, at least in my book…read more Amazingly, I was able to convince my friends to partake in physical activity while on vacation (too much seafood), and I zeroed in on Studio by the Sea since it was close to where we were staying, $10 for a drop-in class was a steal, and Wendy the owner promptly replied to my questions by text. Courtney the teacher was helpful and friendly. There was something calming about hearing the waves purr in the background while doing chaturanga. Arms and shoulders were varying degrees of sore the next day. We peeked at the Zumba class going on after yoga, and it looked like a high-energy party. If we were staying in PCB longer, we definitely were up for trying out more classes. So yeah, exercise being a highlight of our trip sounds very strange but it was!

3.5 stars I would…read moregive this studio 3 stars, but it really depends on what you're looking for. If you want a studio that will watch your children while you do yoga, or if you would like your child to take dance instruction, then this is the place for you. If you'd like a quiet setting to practice yoga in, then you should probably look elsewhere. Said children and dance lessons will be all you hear while you're trying to focus. They do also offer yoga on the beach though, so that is also an option if that's your thing. All in all it's not a bad studio, but it's not what I'm personally looking for.

You can tell she's passionate about Pilates and very knowledgeable. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of how difficult the sign up process was. You can't book online if it's your first class without calling/texting them to get approval to sign up. They ask if you have taken a reformer class before and if you have, then they allow you to sign up for the class of your choice. If not, I think you have to do the 1 on 1 classes with them. Then once I had approval I had to download an app to pay for the class. It was just a mission for one drop in class so beware of that when trying to book when visiting the area.

Palm Pilates is not my home studio but I wish it was!…read more My husband and I came from out of town for a marriage retreat. I always want to try new studios, and he wanted to try out reformer pilates for the first time. So, we scheduled a 1-on-1 lesson with Andrea at the PCB location. The studio is in a business park but the inside is so stinkin cute. I wish I got a picture. It has a sleek, minimalist vibe and the room floods with light. The light and the music just make you feel energized. I've been doing Pilates 3-4x a week for 3-4 months. So, still new to it, but I was looking for a challenge. However, my husband had never been on a reformer. Andrea was able to teach me new and exciting moves while making my husband feel comfortable at the same time. I loved the class. Loved the studio. Loved the instructor. I only wish I was closer so I could make the trip more often for Pilates! 10 out of 10 recommend!!
