Club Pilates Greenwood is hands down the best workout studio I've ever been to. When you come here,…read morenot only do you get an amazing workout with kind and knowledgeable teachers, but you get to experience the genuine and individualized interest they have in you both physically, emotionally, and mentally. As someone who has always struggled feeling at home in any type of workout situation, I was nervous for my first CP class. Since the first class is free for everyone, I decided to go and if I didn't like it, no harm, no foul. Plus, the free intro classes are only for first timers, so there was no insecurity about others judging me while I was getting the hang of things. As soon as the first class was over, I knew that I wanted to get a membership. I had never done Pilates before and I was floored by how low impact movements on the reformer, which are great for people looking to put leas pressure on their joints, really felt like they gave me a great workout. As an added bonus, I had never experienced such a deep and satisfying stretch as at Club Pilates. I decided to get a membership that day because moving my body in this way genuinely felt good and I could immediately sense that I would be a part of a group of people who want to help me succeed in my goals. I've been a CP member for a month now, and I can honestly say that everything I thought during my initial intro class was true and everyone at Club Pilates Greenwood has exceed my expectations in making me feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for. They have several different levels of classes, plus many combined with cardio work, so workouts are as hard or easy as you want them to be. Even in the past month, I have seen improvement in what I can do now that I couldn't do a month ago. My times in the studio are some of my favorite times of the week because I'm surrounded by positive and inclusive people who want to help me succeed and push me to be better every day. Whether you're looking for another way to workout, searching for a way to move your body safely post-injury, or, like me, are wary of the fitness world but want to work on yourself, please, give Club Pilates Greenwood a try. Your first class is free and I promise, you'll walk out feeling refreshed and challenged and satisfied, inside and out. Pilates is for every body. Do it for you.

I joined Club Pilates Greenwood recently and had my first class, which was a "CP Suspend" class…read morewith an instructor named Jenny. I am dismayed and a little worried about continuing to take classes at this location if all the instructors are of this caliber. It was truly the single-WORST fitness instruction I have ever experienced, anywhere in any context. Here's the rundown of my experience: * When I walked in, the instructor (I did not know she was the instructor yet) was sitting on a bench up front, gossiping and complaining loudly. * Everyone just started walking toward the back--there was no announcement to say, "ok, we're ready." So I followed. * The instructor never introduced herself to me or the group. * She never asked any of our names (I know I was not the only new person there that day, but even if I was, she should have asked for mine and introduced herself). * She never asked if it was anyone's first time taking the class (again, I know that there were more than one of us for whom it was our first time). * She gave us no preview, no introduction about the workout. Just told us the first move, and we started the workout. * She proceeded to gossip, complain, and tell stories about her life with 2 or 3 women who were taking the class, which she continued doing pretty much for the entire class. * When she wasn't doing that, she was on her phone. Now maybe she was doing something class-related, but I doubt it since at one point it was clear she was watching some kind of video b/c the sound was playing from her phone. This is while we were all working out and she was supposed to be watching our form. * *She never once corrected or helped a single person.* * At one point, the class was doing a particular move and I could see everyone in the class. I am not kidding when I tell you EVERY person in there was doing this move differently, and she never said a word to any of us. So, I still have no idea how to do that move correctly, and I stopped doing it early for fear I was going to hurt myself. This was the most dismal fitness instruction experience I have ever had. I find myself quite nervous that I just bought a package to this place but hopeful that their other instructors are better. We'll see...

Like others have described, she repeatedly cited "policy" without acknowledging how her own lack of timely communication made it impossible to follow that policy in practice. Time passed while I waited for answers, the deadline expired, and I was then told the policy had not been met and that I would have to absorb the loss, with no recognition of her role in creating the situation.

I was Pilates curious about a year and three months ago (hint: this is how long I've been with Era…read morePilates now), and was trying to decide which of the listed choices to try out. I was lucky that there was a manageable amount of options to choose from, and the reason why Era initially stood out to me was the individual and small capped class sizes. I remember when I first called, I was so nervous as I said I wasn't a "pilates" body. Mary, the owner, was the one who answered my call, and firmly told me everyone was welcomed to do pilates. I was still a little skeptical, but signed up for my first initial session and was paired with Hali. I remember being intimidated initially by all the apparatus, but Hali walked me through them with ease, but I also remember getting my butt thoroughly kicked by that session. As I enjoyed it, and wanted something physical to my routine, I told myself to give it six months before finding something else to do. It's quite obvious that I love Pilates, seeing how I'm past a year doing this. I have had Hali as my private instructor this entire time, and have faithfully been seeing her on a weekly basis, unless vacations or holidays pop up. From the time I started to now, I know there's a huge difference, one of the biggest being that I no longer have lower back pain. I know my core is stronger since I constantly engage it, nearly automatically, when doing other physical tasks. When I first started, roll ups were something I struggled with, and now, I am able to articulate going back down and up. Every session is a challenge, but I always leave it feeling stronger and taller. I can even say from this latest lesson, I know I've grown. Hali constantly pushes and challenges me, whether I want to or not. She does a great job breaking down what we are doing, to make sure I understand the what and the why. I also appreciate her hands-on approach to corrections and feedbacks, as it's the fastest way for me to understand and ensure that I align myself correctly. I had the opportunity to also take one of Valerie's group classes. While a different style, she was a great instructor providing verbal feedback and ensuring the class was a challenging one. I haven't had the opportunity to follow up with more classes with Valerie due to my schedule, but I hope to visit her sessions when I am able to. I love the vibes and space that Era provides and hope that I continue to practice with Era for a long time!

Thank you Hye@THR for bringing your values to the southside of downtown Indy (Indianapolis, IN…read moreUSA). It was great seeking you yesterday. You've got a strong firm compassionate yoga family of solid professional yoga instructors. I highly respect each & every one of them. Each are spectacular in their whys to how marvelously well they DO teach yoga. Love love love how each location mirrors the other location to how well each instructor mirrors another instructor of last week teachings @THR. TY. This is what I've learned. THR IS a totally safe space to explore & practice yoga. Professionals are a norm. I don't feel pressured or anything bad but learning how to do yoga. Being party to a venue who shares the same values I live since forever, I know I'm at the right space to invest in myself to love more. What I mostest value about THR is the mere fact it's purely yoga. Each location has the exact same premise in directive as its sister location. Each instructor wants to teach, wants to help, wants to encompass the namaste of being the light to love wholly for another light to shine for or to in the greater good. Ty. I've not felt ANY bs at all. No drama. No toxic. I've never ever had an instructor who called me out in a class for needing to adjust myself (catch my bearings). Nor have I ever had any teacher @THR hit me on the back of my head bc I had my head too high, not aligned. I've not had any instructor(s) cause any toxic drama for me in my home(s), no THR students being used by a venue to create toxic bs. No attempts to mirror toxicity to my home (s) for a series of things to try to be rewritten in a bruised ego. That's now in my rear view. Ty God for having my back. Ty THR for being as such. A solid place with good human beings. In fact of the matter @THR, there are NO egos. What I've seen & felt from day one (2018) & again last year (2025) is pure humility in practice for yoga. I know if I go on a retreat with THR, I won't be left alone in the middle of the woods without access to come home so a dog could be picked up. I know that my fiancé won't be contacted for a date esp when he was not a client. I know my yoga teacher won't blame me when something too weird happens, unyoga related. These things WILL never happen at THR. It is my hope that God helps those who decided to use others for personal gain to stop. Maybe take a yoga class lead by fabulous yoga teachers teaching yoga @ THR. It's purely yoga at THR. May the light that shines in me blessed by God shines brighter to anyone who is in the dark now. May God place good people in your life for you to see your value for the whys you need to learn about yourself. Each of us is made for a purpose. Finding that purpose takes God's help. The HOT Room downtown Indy on NY Street helped me find the woman I had forgotten about long ago. Me. I still love others. Even tho life punches me, God is what I fear the most. I'm a little more discerning these days by the actions taken by a fragile ego by others. THR has afforded me knowledge to learn how to trust my intuition & see what serves me for a better way to live without hate but to love more.

I shouldn't have to pay $80 a month to be forcefully subjected to a bunch of naked people getting their jolly's off unnecessarily exposing themselves. Its understandable if you're exposed in the transition of getting dressed for a brief period of time but anything beyond that is unnecessary, indecent and weird. It's not hard or too much to ask to close the curtains, wear proper attire or be covered by a towel. There are clear rules stated and I feel these should be enforced.

They also have multiple bouldering walls, which is climbing without harnesses (don't worry, if you fall, they have super padded mats under them). They even have a ping pong table, treadmills, an elliptical, and offer classes! I was also really impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. The staff were very friendly and there was a cute little gift shop inside. A day pass is $19, plus the rental cost of shoes and gear. After everything I think it was $27 total per person. Cons: Out of the huge area and many climbing walls, only 7 of them have the automatic pulleys. The others are person harnesses where someone actually had to hold the other person with a rope. So if you are a first timer, you are limited to those 7 automatic walls. Also, Yelp had a coupon for checking in, for free gear rental. They did not honor it because they said yelp automatically created it and they don't give those coupons out. Didn't know Yelp could do that? I think it's a little misleading if people were to choose the gym for the coupon because they thought they were getting a deal, only to be denied. All in all, it was a super fun time and I would go again!!! Definitely recommend!!
