I've been a member, at Pure Barre Asheville, for almost a year and I absolutely love it. I've done many different types of workouts, achieving results, but I was never completely satisfied, until now. It is, by far, the most effective total body workout that I have ever done. You will see your body changing, even those hard to reach areas, within the first couple of weeks. A year later, I have more strength and tone, than I have ever had. The idea of small isometric movements was foreign to me. How could this be the key, to achieving the results that I had been looking for, but it was. The instructors are so friendly, well trained and helpful that it didn't take long to get the hang of it. Their ongoing one on one attention, even in a class setting, is true testament to their expertise and love of Pure Barre and their clients. The studio is warm and inviting. The music is great. The clients are welcoming and instantly make you feel at home. You will see a levels of fitness here, so everyone feels welcome. I highly recommend Pure Barre. Give it a couple of weeks and you will be completely hooked. Classes are 55min and the time flies. It's fun and it works!! Pure Barre is an exercise studio that will kick your butt while being gentle on the joints so it's a great exercise for all ages. If you hear that and think it's going to be easy, you will be sorely mistaken (pun intended). I'm a former dancer and generally physically fit so I figured pure Barre would come pretty natural and easy to me. I initially thought it as the most sadistic workout I'd ever come across. OMG the burn!! But I'm glad I stuck to it. I'm stronger than ever and it specifically has helped improve my core strength and balance - both of which are critical for healthy lifestyle and injury prevention. I haven't visited many pure Barre studios but the Asheville studio is very clean and well run. The teachers are so sweet and welcoming. They really help create a supportive community. You come for the results. You stay because of the community! read more

As someone who grew up dancing and always being very active, it was really hard when I moved to Asheville and couldn't find an outlet for the kind of activities I was looking for. After a couple years of trying to figure it out on my own and not being pleased with the local gym, a friend recommended I try Pure Barre. WOW. I was immediately obsessed. You do not have to have any dance or athletic experience, but I leave feeling like I just took an awesome dance class that worked all of my muscles. I've gained so much more confidence in my body as well as some top notch friends! I absolutely love the atmosphere, the workouts, the employees...all around this place is something you should check out!! I haven't ever been too athletic or into fitness but this was my year to change that. I hated the idea of the gym because I get "lost" and I don't know what to do, if I'm doing it right, ETC.. and really didn't want to hire a personal trainer. After doing at home workouts for several months A friend introduced my to Pure Barre and I was hooked from my first class. I live over an hour away and I make the time for it several times a week because it has become my escape. I can tell a big difference in my body, tolerances, and improvements. I have been a member here for about a year and a half! I absolutely love this exercise program- you work various muscle groups through strengthening and toning moves and even though you don't move much, you definitely feel the burn!! Worth every penny for an unlimited membership... I always leave feeling stronger and better about myself (not only psychically from the class but also emotionally from the incredible staff who are so supportive and even take time to get to know you personally). As I approach my 2nd anniversary at Pure Barre Asheville, I can truly say that the workouts and instructors have helped me believe in myself and to achieve goals that seemed impossible at first. It took awhile to "get" the workout, but I can truly say that I have so much more strength and tone...and confidence...about the classes, both barre and platform. I've been taking Pure Barre classes for over 5 years in several studios.The classes are challenging,yet manageable and never the same.There are 3 different formats,one is bound to appeal to you,(or all 3!) Every teacher makes an effort to learn names, provide feedback on form, and be generally supportive and kind.
