SOME WOUNDS NEVER HEAL. SOME PAIN NEVER LEAVES…read more We trusted Garden State Pet Center with our precious sugar gliders. Now our little girl is hospitalized, we have spent $4,000 trying to save her, and she may lose her tail. My wife cries, cannot eat normally, and is losing weight from heartbreak. Every day, we live with the fear of losing a little soul who means the world to us. I WANT NO MONEY. I WANT NO APOLOGY. I WANT NOTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS. But I hope everyone who reads this understands one thing: an animal's suffering does not end when the customer walks out the door. The pain follows the family home. It sits at the dinner table. It steals sleep, appetite, and peace of mind. Our little girl cannot speak for herself. So I am speaking for her. We will never forget what our family is going through. And I hope no other family ever has to learn this kind of heartbreak the way we have. UPDATE: The owner's response still leaves a critical question unanswered: how did our sugar glider suffer such a serious tail injury while in their care? I saw a dog moving freely around the store, and I cannot help wondering whether there could have been an incident involving that dog. I cannot claim to know exactly what happened, but the possibility is deeply concerning. Our little girl is hospitalized, we have spent approximately $4,000 on veterinary care, and she may lose her tail. My family is suffering, and no amount of money can undo this experience. I am not looking for sympathy, compensation, or apologies. I want other pet owners to understand why the safety and supervision of their animals must never be taken for granted.

One of my good friends pointed out that I may find this machine and good service at the local PetSmart. A young lady behind a counter pointed us, in the direction to the magical machine. It was really very easy to use. We also brought a new leash and a snazzy collar. Four stars because this was a routine visit, nothing spectacular. Customer service was average and the merchandise was average. No follow up at the register "....did you find what you needed?" Absolutely nothing above and beyond.

We spent time holding them, playing with them, rubbing their bellies, and bonding with them. They were so comfortable with us -- they were licking our fingers, letting us rub their stomachs, and even falling asleep in our arms. The employee Gina even said while we were with them, "I never seen these kittens so calm with anybody." That meant a lot because it showed how comfortable they were with us. We also made it clear that we had experience with cats and have had cats before. The same day we saw them was the day the kittens came into PetSmart. We submitted our application the very next day and waited. We were told we would receive a phone call either way, whether we were approved or denied, but two weeks went by and we never received any call at all. When we went back into PetSmart, we found out the kittens were no longer there because they had been adopted on June 23. We were very upset to find out we were never contacted, especially after building that bond with them and expecting the chance to bring them home. What hurt the most was finding out they were adopted by someone else who was able to adopt three cats, while we were never even given an update about our application for these two kittens. I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled. I understand animals need good homes, but communication matters. We were really hoping to take these kittens home, and it was heartbreaking finding out they were gone without ever getting a call.
