If you don't want to see malls and jobs disappear, shop local! The pet store is well-kept and clean, and the adjacent & connected animal hospital is a bright and cheerful area at the front. The coolest part: on Aug 11, 2019 they had Halloween displays up already. Instant 5 stars. It doesn't stink like a barn, the animal housing was clean, and so was the human bathroom. That's significant because it's evidence of a conscientious team. These are the people you want to take care of pets. The staff was attentive, communicative, and eager to help. There were a lot of employees all over the store to cover any questions. This company is doing the right stuff to compete with online retail: Clean store, plenty of well trained and communicative staff, and a wide variety of food and other supplies. Most of the cats were napping. The two cats that seemed to be in the process of adoption by families were alert, curious, and not hiding from the grabby children. The fish were aloof so they will probably never get adopted. They get no sympathy from me with that attitude. The aquarium furniture was so cool I'd love large versions in every room of my place. Remember the pirate skeleton draped over the moving treasure chest lid? PetSmart doesn't have that. That was from the the 1970s--maybe earlier--so no points were deducted. They had a lot of lizards. There was no evidence of cannibalism, so that's good. Last but not least, I visited the birds. They were active and happy, or sound asleep. There was a pet shop off Clark street that had a bird room I'd visit regularly. I wore a yellow t-shirt and a floppy fishing hat for their benefit and they seemed to appreciate the gesture. They'd hop on my finger for short rides up and down the cage, and bite the brim and chin strap of my hat. Good times. Birds don't belong in cages. Free the birds! And shop in brick and mortar stores. Are you gonna put kids out of work and have malls close so you can save a few bucks on cat litter?

I called bark buster and left a message within minutes Marlene called back and she was extremely helpful and professional. We agreed to meet at 11 AM on a Sunday... Marlene and Howard arrived 15 minutes earlier. They were wearing professional attire and display grace and friendliness. Once they enter the apartment with such manners, you can feel they are family already. They looked at my puppies and went to explained the program to me, while Howard was explaining the program, my puppy started chewing a piece of wood, Marlene, said a command and the puppy stopped immediately (magic). Not only I was impressed and I felt secure by Marlene and Howard, they only want from me to provide the best life for my puppies. We did some training with the puppies and the results are amazing. The puppies are lovely, tender, respectful. Thank to Bark busters I can continue my training to have best friends for life. They have a great way to explained the reality of a dog life! Highly recommended

She retired without any heads up which I get everyone wants to be able to do that. However the relationship my dog needed I would have waited to meet another trainer due to trust issues my dog needs. Now I am out a trainer after 5 phone calls asking what the plan is I get some guy from not sure what state saying Orland Park will be without a trainer and you can do virtual with whomever. First of all I paid 1900 hundred dollars for a trainer to be physically present with my dog. This person proceeded to knocked the trainer Vickie for even seeing my dog 3 times. He proceeded to say he would fix my dog in one session. Not really looking for some arrogant trainer to tell me how great he is. I have continued to call the Orland Office and called corporate but have no desire to speak with this trainer or whomever he is. So i am looking into taking this to the next level to receive a refund. I want nothing to do with this company.

From the moment we brought her…read morehome, we noticed her flightiness, aggression, nipping, and aggressive barking at anyone who came near her. We suspected she had aggression issues and contacted Off Leash K-9, enrolling her in their course. During our initial meeting with ALEXIS, the trainer, he quickly engaged with Penelope and discovered that she wasn't aggressive; she was simply a frightened dog trying to protect herself in the best way she knew how. ALEXIS demonstrated exceptional patience, knowledge, and openness to answering our questions. He was also fun and passionate about training. Not only did he impart valuable insights into communicating with Penelope, but he also demonstrated his expertise by applying his teachings in practice. Penelope has undergone a remarkable transformation. She is calmer, happier, and more confident in the support of her parents. We are incredibly grateful to ALEXIS and Off Leash K-9 for helping us understand Penelope's true needs and providing her with a better quality of life. We wholeheartedly recommend ALEXIS and Off Leash K-9. He is hands down the best trainer we have ever come across !!

I cannot say enough good things about Carson from Off Leash K9 Training's board and train program…read more Villa is a fast growing, energetic and excited 6 month old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy -and she can be a lot to handle. Carson handled her with ease, or at least made it look easy! Carson focuses on positive, effective techniques and took the time to educate us just as much as he trained our puppy. She absolutely loved him and the progress made in only 2 short weeks was incredible and we are so pleased. She learned 7 different commands and I continue to be amazed at how she responsds to each of them. It has been a huge help in getting her to settle and she has much better impulse control. We recently went out of town to visit family, and brought Villa with. I was a little nervous, wondering how she would do in a different environment, not on her home turf. I am so happy to share that she did fantastic! Our family could not stop complimenting her in how well mannered and behaved she was. This was no doubt all as a result of the training she did with Carson. Truly life changing for us!

My Belgian malinois Buzz was very reactive towards other dogs and had snapped at a child's hand…read morebefore we decided additional training was necessary for him. My wife and I chose to train with the Sit Means Sit team in may of 22. Kerry and her teams training program was exactly what Buzz and I needed. Just 7 months later, I can confidently take my dog anywhere and know that he will be focused on me when told. Sit means Sit gives us the opportunities to socialize and reinforce the training with their group classes. Buzz also loves his additional 'change of leadership training' that allows him to get used to day camp with a one on one trainer without me being a distraction. I can now confidently leave him at day camp. Best of all, my 9 year old niece practices training with buzz when she visits. Kerry, Sarah, and the Sit Means Sit team has helped and continues to go out of their way to make Buzz a great dog.

Don't hire this woman, unless you want to pay her to harass and verbally attack your law-abiding neighbors, while torturing your dog with an e-collar. In front of the owners, she purposely let their dog CHARGE at my dog and I, before zapping the dog to stop. Walking on the sidewalk, I saw the off-leash dog and waited for them to go into their house and avoid a confrontation. The woman (I didn't know was a "trainer") and I locked eyes, she knew I was respectfully, waiting to cross. However, I didn't realize she was planning to let the dog BOLT towards my dog. She let the dog run at me, across their lawn. She then proceeded to verbally attack me for being upset about it. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I understand they were on their front lawn. But the dog was not secured and an e-collar is not a leash. And of course, how would an innocent bystander know the dog was going to get shocked and turn around. But I should have known, because before this, I heard a dog crying in agony down the street. Obviously, he's not trained. She's just going to torture your dog and call it "trained." Do not pay this woman. I don't care if you're a trainer or not, you don't let a dog run at anyone!!
