I have been searching for a groomer for a while for my dog Ash, Some I saw online had everything from the groomers arguing with the customers online, to other groomers which killed the dogs by accident to others that ripped people off or cut the dogs. So I took Ash to Pupculture in Tribeca today, the staff was very friendly. I got her a bath, nail cutting, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning, anal expressing. The staff was very friendly, the whole process from start to finish took about 2 hours. She smelled fresh and like slight coconut lol. She seemed ok and happy as usual. I've been taking our pup to grooming here for a while now and it's been great. The staff is extremely nice and you can tell they really love the dogs that come here which makes me feel great as an owner dropping my dog off. They are also pretty cautious about keeping grooming and daycare separate with different forms to fill out depending on what your dogs come in for. They also do a half-day compatibility test for daycare and boarding which seems to be pretty standard. First day at Pupculture for our 4 month old Remy. If the picture of him after getting home today is any indication, he wore himself out and had a great time. We scouted this place out this past weekend and Remy immediately warmed up to everyone there. So it was not surprising that he was very eager to return this morning. The venue looks clean, new, and in good shape. The staff were very knowledgeable and offered lots of helpful advice about raising a puppy in the city. I visited for about 15 minutes. In this time I heard a dog trainers repeatedly yelling STOP STOP STOP to a small dog in a play group. It was negative, innapropriate and I would never want my animal treated that way. I also saw another dog being groomed and the groomer ripped her comb thru his snout hair so hard it yanked his head. The girls at the front desk were really nice and corrected both those employees, but I will say that I would never bring my pets here. read more

This was my first time taking my 4 yr. old golden retriever to get bathed and for a deshedding treatment outside of our NYC bathtub. I selected pupculture Tribeca from the great reviews and I was not disappointed. Booking was easy over the phone with lots of appointment options when I called a week in advance. The online registration form asked the appropriate questions for them to know about any skin or behavior issues. Make sure you have your dog's vaccination records to upload or to bring with you. My boyfriend dropped off C as I had a prior appointment. Taking into consideration all the current Covid changes, he was impressed by their proper protocol. From what he gathered, it was one dog/owner in and one dog/owner out. They told him it would be up to 3 hours and they would call my cell when he was ready. When it was close to 3 hours, I hadn't heard from them so I went in to check on how much longer. They said that they needed another 45mins because he was a little nervous in the beginning and it took him a while to get comfortable. His coat also needed extra attention (I paid for the deshedding treatment). Even though I had to wait a bit longer than expected, I respected that they were being mindful of his behavior and committed to getting his coat treated -- something I've struggled with. When I picked him up, he came out with his tail up and wagging and wearing a cute pupculture bandana. His groomer waved from the window too, giving me confidence that he was a good client. When he ran into my arms he smelled amazing and was so soft. He was also a very happy guy! Check out his picture attached. The price was very reasonable for our area (Tribeca). The bath and deshedding was $115 (not including tip). pupculture is our go-to bathers and would highly recommend for any pups/owners that are new to the experience as well as those that may be looking for the best in town. The absolute best!!! Stella, my bulldog, can't wait to run inside when I drop her off. Everyone remembers her name, and she so so tired and happy when she is dropped off after a day at daycare. Groomer is great and staff is so accommodating! When Stella was a puppy, I would drop her off everyday for a full day. They walked her a lot, and before I knew it she was potty trained. Today was my puppy's 2 day in daycare. I just rescued him from best friends and he is doing so good! He and his new Friend named Hudson play all day! Pupculture is such a great place to bring your dog, they are very helpful, understanding and they really care about dogs. They send me pictures of how my puppy is doing is daycare, who he is friends with, they also keep me posted on his appetite which is very helpful and when he gets home he completely knocks out! Extremely disappointed with grooming. Not trimmed and ended up with a skin infection. I've had my dog groomed here previously, without issue. This time (End of July), I took my goldendoodle to be groomed, asked them to trim her down bc fur was too long for summer and to be mindful of a few other concerns. Picked her up, she looked the same length, but gave benefit of the doubt, thinking that curly fur being blown straight only gave impression of no trim. A couple days, she looks exactly the same. $160 later and her fur is not shorter, still too hot/long for summer. Bigger issue is she was groomed on a Saturday afternoon, on Tuesday morning her front leg started to show signs of a skin infection (a first). Trip to the vet confirmed, likely picked up the skin infection from grooming, given no other change in lifecycle/diet etc. Just a total waste of money on all ends. Will not be back. Beyond my frustration, I can't even get her groomed for the heat elsewhere right now bc I need to wait for the infection to clear up. read more

I first took my Samoyed to Pupculture in December for a bath and grooming. I thought I had been grooming him well but instead I learned he had tons of knotted matts on his deep winter undercoat. They spent all the time they needed to get him in good shape. This is a 9 year old dog that had recoiled when I approached him with a brush but after his grooming left happy, he even lets me brush him now. He went back eagerly for his second bath and grooming in February. I really appreciate the care with which the staff treated my pup (and me). LEAST PROFESSIONAL SERVICE EVER AT PUPCULTURE TRIBECA - HARMFUL AND NONSENSE Guys seriously DO NOT GO to pup culture tribeca. I have to say - shame on me for my laziness, I kept going there for a while even if my dog was very unsettled every time I stepped in (he is a mature Portuguese Water Dog, so very used to grooming, brushing and all - but we moved to Tribeca In September so I had to find a groomer in the area). Last time he came out with his ears very sore and he ended up with an ear infection - not to mention his hair cut, he looked like a bear even if I sent them a picture of his usual hair style (body hair longer than his head hair?!? Not even a fashion stylist would have thought about it!! Terrible and absolutely not professional groomer). long story short - a few weeks later I have to send him back because after 10 days of boarding for spring break he came back smelling like a (smelly!) sheep, BUT just for a bath (I was planning to change groomer for cuts but still had no time to look into it) and after 1h and 45 min that I checked him in they call me to say that his hair was too tangled up to even wash him and I had to book a cut. They must have kidding me!!!!!!!!!!?????!!???????!???!? Worst service ever, needless to say - clerks totally useless. So then I threatened them I would have written the worst review ever and in the end at least they washed him (it took them 3 h and half for a bath) and as a happy ending they made me pay full price even if - as they mentioned on the phone - it was not possible to brush him at all!!!! read more

Jamie groomed Milo and must say one of his best haircuts ever. Which isn't easy for a Bichon. And on the first try! She made him feel safe and really is talented. Pupculture is by far the one of the best doggie daycares in the city. I would say 10/10 to be the downtown spot to take your dogs for just a day of daycare, boarding, and or grooming. The staff are so friendly and caring with both their human clients and doggie friends. My French bulldog comes home everyday so happy and can not wait to go back the next morning. I was soooo disappointed when our previous doggie daycare closed at the start of the pandemic and decided to try Pupculture. Now I am a current and devoted customer --- but the truth is, I wish I had come here sooner! Every single staff member (from front desk to dogwalkers to daycare attendants) is professional, caring, concerned about, and LOVED by my pups. The facility is clean, the groomers are fantastic (and Laverne is THE ultimate master), and I love how engaged and thorough they all are with everything my dogs do. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I took my dog here for an assessment for boarding. Conveniently, I work nearby so I stopped in on my lunch to check in on him. The Kennel Attendant first refused to let me see him while I was there. I had to ask a second time and when she brought him out she had to watch him with me and was generally upset. I felt nervous leaving him there following this but I let him finish the assessment as I had travel plans and had heard good things about to facility. I received a call at the end of the day saying my dog (a French Bulldog) was growing at another dog (Golden Retriever) and tried to bite the dog, as a result he "failed the assessment." My dog has NEVER displayed aggressive behavior in anyway and is not vocal, he rarely even barks. I asked to see camera footage like most daycares provide and they refused. I then asked to speak to the Manager, I was told the Manager would call tomorrow. Of course I haven't heard back and it has been weeks. I called twice and keep getting told that I will get a call back that I have never received. I mainly want them to accept responsibility here and I want to share this with you all who may be looking for a friendly place, this is absolutely not it. Previously happy with Pupculture for grooming. However, our last visit we were given the wrong dog. I was initially distracted with the baby so I'm so grateful the other owner was there or I could have left with the wrong dog. They were similar in appearance but by no means identical. The wrong collar was put on each dog before they were returned to the wrong owner. Staff didn't appear overly concerned about the near-catastrophe. Will be grooming at home from now on. read more

We use to bring our puppy here occasionally.We was so pleased when we first discovered pupculture. After a short while I started to notice some things which I found disappointing. The unsetting thing is layout of the rooms: firstly the raised platform so you cant see your dog. The separate picket fencing which they use to allocate dogs by size ; big dogs from medium and small dogs. I feel that this does not enable dogs to play with other dogs , since this set up limits any socializing. I found out by chance that our puppy's harness was removed and he was lead by the collar.This scene left me disturbed. read more
