I hear rumors they may rebuild. Hope so. Anyhow, this library on Aaron St. is great and they have been busy trying to fill in for the the closed library. And I confess I love the FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY. I donate and buy many books from the used book stores by the libraries. I just read (from their used book store) the play A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. I confess I never read it before and it was a fun fast read. Then I found the play on television and watched it. Loved them both.

Well you will find that at this library, the hustle and bustle of hundreds of people coming in and out all day long using the adult computers for the Internet service or that half a dozen or so youth computers for in the child section before computers there. As I agree with Rich the library can get a bit noisy especially if you knew the children's area. Yet this library offers a lot of extras that make it excellent for families. Yes they have free Wi-Fi, can normally pick up a good speed and connection from almost anywhere from the center of the library outward. Most importantly what I love about this library is that it understands its patrons. last month in October they held an amnesty program for anyone who owes late fees or fines for losing a book or video. The program allowed you to bring in food in exchange for forgiveness of the fees. I like a library that cares about giving everyone access to its resources instead of worrying about collecting fees.

The front has some amazing wooden doors - step inside to a landscaped court yard, and an open air covered reading room with free wireless. If you need to work away from home, this is the place to do so. Look carfeully, the building and courtyard are so well done, you might mistake this library for one of the near by homes. The library sits on a street that looks out to the ocean. Another cool thing to check out is the DuPont shell collection which is quite extensive and is on display in the court yard. We stopped by during the annual book sale and picked up some great books for less than a $1 each - some of the books looked like they had never been opened. 5 Stars for being a cool building, a free activity, a great place to read and having free wifi.

Very engaging storyteller was able to entrance the wide range of ages in attendance. Then there was the bubble machine. And a bucket of toys to free-play with. Get there early as space is limited. I noticed they had to turn away a few people. The children's area has lots of fun spaces too. If that had happened to us, we still would have found plenty to do there.

They have plenty of computers for everyone to use and I love that you can reserve a study room, I usually take calls from these room. The internet is great and I've never had issues. There's a great student section and overall it's just mapped out really well. The only reason why it's 4 star for me is the fact that it's connected to the middle school and so after school it gets packed with kids. These kids can get wild and while the staff does a great job of managing them, it can still get disrupted. Overall it's a must visit

Everything from the layout to the very friendly and informed staff is great. I love the work tables/workstations for setting up my computer and working on my graphic arts business. The ambiance, layout, lighting, and traffic makes for a great balance between being able to concentrate and yet have the feeling of being surrounded by a nice buzz of quiet activity. The hours are good, though I miss the good old days when libraries were open late on Friday evenings, and some even open on Sunday afternoons.

But it's hard to say no when you keep finding so many fun things! I absolutely love how they integrated little fun supplies in almost all areas of the bookstore. I found stationary by classics and romance. There were thank yous & note cards over by nonfiction and mystery. And that's just for starters! The selection here was absolutely incredible. As for beverages, there's a cute little coffee shop that also has gelato within walking distance. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to stop there, but since I have every intention of going back to visit this book store again, I will make a point to visit that little shop as well!!
